another interesting thing about a WoL in DA:I, people being turned into monsters in Eorzea is more like how Spirits are turned into monsters in Thedas. There souls/minds corrupted by an outside force. Like yeah poison might turn you into a zombie, and corrupt aether can mimic red lyrium. But the way a demon has to possess a human and sort pop out of them isn't necessary for an abomination. They just have to get juiced up enough by a Primal, or be around an aether soaked area too long, or be around an aether *barren* area too long. I think it'd freak the people of Thedas out to know no possession or magical ability is required for someone to turn into a monster.
