MY hisses like a cat everytime anyone else tries to take a look at him! He's used to Wen heart eyes Ruohan!
Also he has some vague memories of being just some Jin droid that got discarded! He remembers practically begging JGS to keep him and he'll fix himself, but JGS wasn't having it! He doesn't remember anything properly but my boy got daddy issues and he vibrates at frequencies only dogs can hear at WRH's fascination with him
Someone is finally treating him like a treasure after an entire existence of feeling like just one more piece of metal, even inferior to others, he's not going to let anyone separate him from WRH!
Lol if JGS is still alive after the apocalypse or whatever, he'd be banging his head against a wall at seeing the android he deemed defective or something is now the most important piece of tech, capable of giving his new owner fame and glory XD.
Awww poor baby! Maybe it was part of his programming, feeling attached to a father figure or to be loyal to one figure, hence why he tried so hard to get JGS to keep him by his side. Not being allowed to must have been so hard given that'd be his very nature ;-;

Hello there, I just read your Nightingale and Captain fics and it was an interesting read, though I would not have been as forgiving in the alternate ending one, that said it reminded me of an idea I had a while back that I feel like sharing.
To warn you, I am not a concise person, and these ideas are quite angst heavy, so beware of a lengthy read lol.
First idea:
This takes place in a Soulmate Mark Au with Nightingale being the soul mate to a Sinner reader, the only issue being that Nightingale refuses to acknowledge the bond in public and goes out of her way to try and distance herself from the reader and make it clear she feels nothing for them, all while secretly pining for them.
This backfires on her however, when the reader either has the soul mark removed, or it removes itself from Nightingale after she sends them on a mission that results in them nearly dying, with the Adjutant breaking down and begging for another chance while the reader simply looks at her and ignores her as they return to their cell, leaving her crying in the hallway.
No matter how hard the staff and sinners alike try to get the pair back together, nothing works, until one day Nightingale hears the reader laughing and looks up to see them smiling and laughing with another Sinner, a new set of marks forming on them.
Second idea:
I also have an angst idea involving the Chief breaking up with a reader to try and keep them safe from Paradeisos and the Underground, that the female Sinners were likewise fond of the reader only makes it more bitter,.
Though come the day of her plan, she loses her nerve halfway through her plan and tries to change wheels, only for the reader to instead break up with her while the intercom is unknowingly active, with the reader claiming they cannot be with someone who is constantly throwing their life away and has no time for them, along with just how much danger they are in just by being near the Chief, with them ignoring her pleas as they leave her sobbing in her office.
Cue the Sinner helping a depressed Chief recover before the events of Rustfire and such to happen, with the Chief resolving to winning their lover back and completing their family.
Only for her to learn that the reader has moved on and is now raising a child that, depending on your take on it, could be the Chief's own child, personally I like this idea due to huge angst potential but if you want it to be an adopted one you can, with the Reader having gone so far as to have a restraining order placed against the chief to protect themselves and their child from her and the sinners.
Cue the long battle for not only her lover but also her child, featuring a custody battle where a judge agrees the Chief is not fit to raise a child due to her profession, and the revelation that her lover has plans of leaving Dis entirely.
Now Sinners and Staff alike are trying to help the Chief out, all while the chief's mental state begins to spiral towards obsession and darker places still.
All it would take is one mania bullet, and she could have her family be whole again...
Just one bullet.
All of that said, I hope you like the ideas, you can do whatever you want with them, I just felt like sharing them after reading your fics.
With that last bit out of the way, take care and stay safe.
P.S. Sinners are enablers for the Chief being selfish and doing something for themselves as opposed to constantly doing everything for others.
Oh my... these are truly amazing ideas 🔥
The Soul mate Au one tho 🔥🔥
I think imma write about thr Soul Mate Au 🔥
It's absolutely amazing I really don't have words, but I'll use the idea of the Nightingale one and crate a fic based on it and maybe create more fics in the soul mate Au 😌🔥

Dr. Grey hear me out!! Callie and Arizona and Sirius and Remus: okay so it might not go with the storyline if you have meredith as lily and derek as James, or the other way round, but like I see so many similarities in the characters themselves and their relationship. Callie and Sirius are both hardcore but softies lm the inside, not on very good terms with their families, loyal, and badass. Remus and Arizona are kind and patient, but also strong and resilient, and sometimes jealous and mean.
greys anatomy anon after my own heart!!!! thank you for taking the time to yeet this into my box, it made my day this morning! and i hope you don't mind if i respond to this ask with the longest answer ever because I've never heard of a brevity a day in my life.
-first, THANK YOU FOR RE-READING FAULT LINES???? you are brave.
-second, Arizona Robbins is one of my favorite characters on television ever written (and like, also just going to fully acknowledge that i know Greys is problematic media, and could write mini dissertation on it, and so many facets of Arizona/Callie were poor queer represation at best and major ick at worst). Because with Arizona, we finally got a doctor! who wore rollerskates and swinging ponytails and used her imagination in practice for her patients and it was never question ever. I love Addison for this reason, as well, though with Ms. Montgomery, we get a little bit more of the...sexist shit. ya know?
ANYWHO
-i love the time you took in comparing sirius and remus but I am...going to playfully argue with you a bit, and say Remus would never, ever, ever work in Peds. I actually think Remus-- who was a child and broke a bone every month-- would be better for Ortho!! Deceptively strong. Has seen every break under the sun--can come up with creative fixes like Callie. And I would give Sirius Alex Karevs story line--where babe was supposed to be doing something to Make His Parents Proud, only to find he loves Peds (big strong scary man, absolute softie in the Peds unit and they love him), and cue the if you don't choose a speciality we approve of, we will cut you off, conversation.
-also. and this is going to digress a bit, my greys anatomy AU is short (and i say that because Mark/Custody battle etc etc won't even be...a thing lol, so i hope that doesn't taint expectations).
And I might get some...hate for this but whatever-- as I am writing this AU, which is the first AU I have written based on Source Material, I am realizing how much...I want to deviate from the source material to make it my own. And that is partly because I read an AU very recently, based on another book, but it contained a certain ship from HP, and it....felt like such a cop out. It put such a bitter taste in my mouth, and I was reading that AU and realizing how much they took from the book and just tweaked it and if I'm being honest...that's...not....original writing? It didn't feel original. It felt like they typed with a book flat open on their lap and yeeted it into AO3. and all the comments, that were geeking out over certain lines written were taken from elsewhere. But...people can do what they want, you know?
Thats not to say I haven't read PLENTY of other AUs loosely based on Source Material (Dear Your Holiness by @mollymarymarie comes to mind) that are phenomenal.
And I say this because my...Greys AU is not..."take james and lily and substitute them in with Meredith and derek"
Because Lily is Derek first of all, like I was going to miss out on an opportunity to create a world with badass-women doctors? But Lily isn't....Derek, just his Head of X department Job Description.
when I say loosely based on Greys. I mean that. it's Loose.
A one night stand from a bar turns out to be her new intern at her hospital. Cue chaos and romance.
(but of course there is background wolfstar and shithead fancy pants intern gets put with Remus the first week and never wants to leave)

Hey Clyde! In your recent Ironwood ask you mentioned robots and soldiers being difficult to tell apart. Look at their faces! The soldiers have an exposed mouth, the robots don't. But on further thought, that is a minor design flaw - the Black trailer robots may have been "scary," but they were definitely distinct from people.
Hey, anon! That's a good point and it's definitely an easy tip to implement when we get a closeup like the one right before the whale battle starts. That moment is meant to emphasize the terror real people are feeling, so we can easily see what little skin is exposed (the mouth) as well as the soldier's hand trembling on his gun.
Things only get a little confusing when RWBY puts things at a distance. These are robots.
These are soldiers.
So although they have the same build, weapons, helmets, and blue/white coloring, the primary difference seams to be the people wearing black pants (which is easy to spot) whereas the robots are fully armor plated (plus the faces if you can see them). It's easy enough to distinguish once you're looking for it (and there's the occasional audio cue for robots with the clanking of their bodies as well), but in an action sequence you might not distinguish them at first glance. Or maybe that's just a me problem lol. I could have sworn the initial defense against Volume 7's grimm attack had a couple of soldiers there, but apparently not...
Thinking about this difference though, visually this seems to be confirmation that the whale army is made up of 100% people (unless some of those mechs are automated). Obviously we knew there were a lot of people there — that's part of the whole moral conundrum discussed since the episode dropped: why aren't the heroes helping other people, not non-sentient robots — but I'm surprised that there are no robots to pad things out. Or to act as a first line of defense. Was a reason ever given? I mean, it's very easy to assume that Ironwood didn't risk making the same mistake at the Battle of Beacon, but as far as I recall, that would be an assumption. Salem is now attacking head on rather than using sneak hack attacks, Watts is in Ironwood's custody, they clearly have robots to use and this is a pretty do-or-die moment... it would have been interesting to see Ironwood grappling with whether to use that army or not. Does putting his trust in it again make him a fool, no matter the changed circumstances? Or is that another risk worth taking, even if it doesn't work out? Could Ironwood have overcome his PTSD to take that chance? Or would fear of history repeating itself force him to reject a major resource, putting thousands of human and faunus lives on the line instead? As mentioned in a previous ask, the whole robots vs. people army business isn't an easy question to answer, so it would have been nice to get some insight into what side the characters/story is coming down on. As @why-i-hate-rwby-now pointed out on that post, there's criticism for Ironwood creating a hackable army, but also criticism for Ozpin training people to fight. It's clearly a moral conundrum the story wants to include, but RWBY is just flip-flopping between both camps when convenient, rather than a) coming down hard on one side or b) acknowledging that there are serious pros and cons to each choice, leaving no true, moral answer. The now all person army facing off against the grimm when before we had an all robot army facing off against a similar hoard feels like a good time for either a "People are the better approach" message (which Marrow doesn't seem to agree with...), or some insight into the characters' realization that there is no perfect answer to fighting this kind of war. Robots, people, some combination of both... either choice could end very, very badly.

eternatus custody battle
Wroah, didn't think I'd make a big story sketch dump this week. I've doing big thunks about the fallout for the Darkest Day and what the fuck they do with Eternatus. And the answer is. . .complicated (and not answered here lol)
In the aftermath of the Darkest Day, the responsibility of figuring out what to do with Eternatus fell on Ash's shoulders as Leon was concussed and the Chairman under arrest.
After being given a few days to recover, he is questioned on what to do as the authorities wish to either lock Eternatus away or destroy them. Ash says that he wants to help Eternatus instead--even release them if possible. Cue an uproar from the gym leaders and other officials.
Ash explains that Eternatus was just a pawn used by Chairman Rose (just like himself and Leon) and that only the Chairman (and anyone else complicit in causing the Darkest Day) should be punished. This causes a divide, with people who agree with Ash and people who don't. Leon, after he is able to think through his concussion, agrees with Ash but says they should keep Eternatus locked away until the time was right.
Skye, surprisingly, doesn't agree with Ash. He thinks Eternatus should be locked away so that they wouldn't hurt anyone else, all while eyeing Ash's injuries. So Ash reminds Skye that he didn't want the Druddigon that attacked him to be destroyed either. Skye argues that Druddigon don't have the power to potentially destroy Galar, but Ash shoots back that Eternatus can't help being so powerful and Skye has Platinum, a Pokémon capable of razing mountains if she was mad enough, and Alexander, a Pokémon built to hunt and kill Ultra Beasts.
When Skye hesitates, Ash tells him that he and Goh are probably going to have the final say in what happens to Eternatus, as they were ones to defeat and capture them. Ash asks him to rescue Eternatus from being destroyed.
Skye isn't sure what to do after that conversation. He does agree with Ash that Chairman Rose is the one responsible for the Darkest Day, but he honestly doesn't want anything to do with Eternatus. But he also feels bad for Goh, because he's still just a kid who's in the same boat, and Eternatus is technically his Pokémon. Their conversations are just as tense, but they do come to a decision. They decide that Leon's idea was the best course of action. Ash is frustrated, but Skye promises that Eternatus won't be destroyed or forgotten. It's just that everyone needs time to recover and prepare in case Eternatus attempts something. . . .and the bottom left is just a time when a Marco Cosmos employee interrupts Ash's lunchtime for a media interview, and Skye having none of it.
#sparky's art#greyscale galar arc#placements are a little wonky cuz i am bad at organizing these sort of things rip

Batman/P5 Crossover
-Sometime before Akechi but after Futaba or Haru
-Damian is sent to Tokyo to check it out for whatever reason (maybe they had a fight, or he’s going stir crazy, or he’s just the only one they can send at the time and didn't bother with all that "you're not old enough" business)
-Dami is younger than Futaba by a year or three or four
-He is baby
-He is transferred to Shujin as a child prodigy where he also immediately joins the "outcast" community because of his attitude and intelligence
-Talia goes too, manages to cut off all his communications with the Batfam, and is planning to take him home in a month whether he likes it or not
-For whatever reason, Batfam doesn't realize this??? (Like, either she's faking reports or they're too busy (think fight or chaos in Gotham scenario maybe???))
-Anyways, obviously Dami doesn't want this
-Somehow the Phantom Thieves hear about the situation
-Maybe he was assigned to shadow Makoto for a while, and they managed to overhear a phone conversation either to Talia or Dami trying to get in touch with the Batfam and nothing really working
-And eventually they outright see him fighting with his mother with him at some point (either in person or over a phone call) mentioning that she already disowned him, he's happy with his Father's family, and that he will head her family business over his dead body—and oh would you look at that, you already managed that, care to try again Mother?
-The PT's are understandably alarmed
-And learn her name from Damian (from Makoto maybe or someone else he bonded a little with) (MORGANA) (THEY GAVE HIM MONA FOR A DAY AND NOW THEY KNOW EVERYTHING FROM HIS MANY PETS TO HIS LEAST TO MOST FAVORITE SIBLINGS STARTING FROM TIM TO DICK TO HIS FAVORITE FOODS TO EVERYONE IN HIS FAMILY’S NAMES TO HOW STUPID HE FINDS EVERYONE AND WHY THEY'RE STUPID TO HIS FAVORITE MUSIC TO WHY ANIMALS ARE SUPERIOR TO HUMANS AND MONA’S LIKE OMG TMI BUT LOVED IT THERE BECAUSE HE WAS PAMPERED LIKE NO TOMORROW GOT ONLY THE BEST FOOD AND THE BEST BEDS AND TOYS THAT HE GOT TO TAKE WITH HIM BACK TO LEBLANC AND NOW AKIRA AND SOJIRO ARE LIKE DUDE WHY AND MONA’S LIKE IM KEEPING HIM THIS HUMAN IS GOOD SORRY AKIRA YOU’RE DEMOTED)
-The palace is basically a fortress full of assasin ninjas and clones
-Dunno what her keywords are tho
-Or her what her palace actually is
-Help?????????
-Cognitive Bruce, Ra's, Damian, Dami clones, and Jason (maybe rest of batfam??? Idk)
-Long story short, the traps are so assassin-y that they need someone who knows the actual Talia because egads, this is the closest they have all come to actually dying
-And they didn't really want to do it and were just gonna power through
-But Dami manages to find out and get in and of course uses his background to help out whether they like it or not
(-he's slightly off put by Joker's name, but then decides to just solely call Gotham!Joker "The Clown")
-At some point they are captured by the Shadow Talia who is decked out in super fancy traditional Arab clothing and probably every conceivable hidden weapon known to man
-Talia says Damian won't and can't ever change from who he "is meant to be", referring to him as her Alexander and basically brutally addresses all of his insecurities concerning the batfam and people and society in general
-And all this is kinda killing him cause he still loves Talia despite the fact that she killed him and had a violent citywide custody battle with Batman but he also loves the batfam too even if he would absolutely never admit it (except to maybe Grayson)
-Joker does his emotional kick-start thing and/or Dami is like Makoto and just gets so mad he triggers it himself, but either way, lo and behold, Damian is now a persona user, usurping Futaba's place as the baby of the team
-The outfit is kinda inspired by his future adult league outfit with the top and bottom and gold jewelry, but has a raggedy cloak with dull gold edges, a Robin mask and gauntlets, and his main weapons are batarang-sword hybrids
---acknowledging his past and moving on with his present
-Persona: Aladdin, Tsun Zu, Ali Baba, somone else???? Need ideas plz help
-Probably the fastest member of the group
-His small body makes his hits not as strong, but hoo boy can that kid move around
-Hits a lot and dodges most
-Most of his Persona abilities are physical and have high crit and/or are status affects
-Downside is he has not a lot of SP (compared to the rest of the group)
-And he has pretty good HP
-Those good ol' “superior genetics” have to be good for something after all
-Anyways they escape to find the treasure another day
-And Dami is all smug because HA you definitely can't stop me now
-And the PTs are just resigned to keeping an eye on the extremely competent snotty assassin/vigilante child
-They do like him though so it's not too bad (comes with learning all his darkest secrets via his mother and thought processes that tends to accompany watching someone at their lowest get a persona)
(-They do manage to temper him a bit and help him adjust better to actual society too that's nice)
-As such, they also know about Batman and Robin and his whoooole family. Both sides.
-Damian decided not to tell batfam because he does agree with the whole "most adults suck" mentality that the Phantom Thieves have; despite his deep, deep respect for his father and mother and Grayson, they all do kinda suck
-And he’s rather not get pulled out as he surely would if he told them
(-On a side note, he likes Sojiro
-The man gives him coffee, curry, and leaves him mostly to his own devices
-Instant win)
-He is dubbed "Mockingbird" apon return to the metaverse because of his freaky talented vocal skills in mimicking anyone and everyone's voice
-Eventually, they beat Talia
-She doesn't publicly confess to all her sins unlike everyone else
-PTs don't realize it worked until Damian came into school with a genuine smile on his face, and more relaxed than he'd been since he got there
-PTs are confused until Damian's like, this works out because hey, don't want to have several people assassinated and draw the entire freaking league to Tokyo
(-Which was probably why Talia didn't)
-They agree
-But she does break down to tears in Dami's arms and promise to ACTUALLY TALK CIVILLY with Bruce to try and make up for everything and try to fix up the league
-He stays for the rest of p5
-But steers all his reports very much away from the Phantom Thieves
-If anything, he downplays absolutely everything, and makes it seem like it's nothing super big but he's gonna stay a while to keep and eye out because y'alls are busy and I like it here and I haven't gotten expelled so there
-The PTs like to add funny stuff on there just to see if they’ll notice
-Like, Akira likes to have Dami describe his day in excruciating detail. Like, recounting the entirety of his nine or so months to Sae during police interrogation, excruciating
-Mona is pushing for the shiny stuff
-Yusuke just likes to put in bursts of randomness (Dami once mentioned that an acquaintance made another acquaintance T-pose in a church for art lol)
-Ann loves to rant about food
-Haru is always insisting on about feelings
-Ryuji likes to complain about everything and puts in ridiculous requests
-Futaba is just putting in every gen-z thing ever
-Makoto is actually responsible and tries to get him to talk about his progress in school and his social life
-And Akechi is absolutely nowhere near any of this and doesn’t know it exists
-When they have the Tokyo/Japan-wide calling card, Batfam sees it too because let's face it, that's totally the sorta thing that they would keep an eye out for even if he didn't look at the news in the entirety of the time Dami was in Tokyo
-And they send a message to Damian (the first actual communication they've had since before Talia) saying "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON OVER THERE????"
-And with the entirety of the Phantom Thieves looking over his shoulder, Damian's just like "Chill dudes, everything's fiiiiiiiiiine"
-And they're like "UH WHAT PART OF THIS IS FINE????" because they've dug around a bit and found every news report, and oh hey, this isn't anywhere near as calm as Damian described and he’s being super OOC and what’s going on?!?!?!?!?!
-And Damian, being egged on by the most of the PTs, just sends a winky face
-Just
-😉
-And he's smug, because it's still chaos over there so they can't actually come get him and try to pull him out because he's being super ooc
-Which means he's free to do what he wants/needs in the meantime
-Cue the end of the game
-And Dami is going with them on their summer road trip and cackling because the batfam is scrambling to find him in Tokyo but lol nope he's in a van the Japanese government tried and fail to follow
-And he found all the trackers like, a year ago
-Every
-Single
-One
-They eventually track him down to Akira's house where they're calmly eating dinner (and they've been expecting this for the past week so Mona was keeping watch just so they could pull this off) and talking about how uneventful the school year was
-Cue mass confusion in the batfam
-As the PTs enjoy just confusing them so much
-By talking to Mona
-Talking normal then crazy then normal again
-And just generally being their normal selves lol
-They explain absolutely nothing beyond gushing about how much progress socially and academically he’s made (gotta embarrass the baby of the group somehow) and making sure that if Dami absolutely has to go home that he's able to stay in touch
(-Later, Damian forms his own hero persona outside of Batman and Robin)
(-He names it Mockingbird)
(-Batfam proceeds to have a brain aneurysm while the PTs dab their happy proud tears out of their eyes on their regularly scheduled tea time at the Wayne Manor)
(-Damian sends a private plane every week or two lol)
(Bonus: ARTTTTTTT)

Endgame reaction post! Scroll past if you haven’t blacklisted/Tumblr Saviored my “endgame spoilers” tag because I’m going to get spoilery. Okay first off, I had mixed feelings about Endgame. There were so many things I loved a lot and so many things I absolutely hated. Overall, I think this was a mediocre, sloppy mess of a movie when it shouldn’t and didn’t need to be (you spent that many hours making THIS? Come on); in some ways, it was worse than AoU which I thought was a miserable, bloated “meh” movie, although I can’t put it on the same level because it also did a lot of good things a hell of a lot better. Plus it was more entertaining; those three hours zipped by whereas I thought AoU would never end and suffered through it.
So good and bad! I might not remember some big things because honestly, I’m still trying to process except I don’t want to because that’ll set me off. Big plot stuff first before going into characters:
It was a bold, unexpected move to go after Thanos and kill him so quickly. I didn’t expect that! Neither did I expect a five-year jump. HOLY. FIVE YEARS. Damn. (But you telling me that Citifield was abandoned like that? Russos, Russos, Russos. Let me tell you something. Regardless of what happens, sports must go on. Listen, people still exist and want their entertainment, but hey, Mets represent. At least the support group wasn’t held at Yankee Stadium...imagine Steve, Brooklyn Dodgers fan, voluntarily going to where the Yanks used to play smh. ANYWAY, WOW THIS IS STUPID. LMAO NEXT.)
Didn’t expect him to destroy the stones either, but it made sense although...it didn’t after the Ancient One’s explanation about it affecting timelines.
Seeing the Avengers struggle to move on but be bound together so tightly regardless of location was nice.
The time travel thing was handled so disappointingly although it was SUPER entertaining and made me recall the giddy excitement I had watching The Avengers for the first time imo. Dude, I know fic writers who do a much better job for zero dollars and you got paid big bucks to make this, and I LOVE TIME TRAVEL STUFF DEARLY so this was something I was looking forward to a lot. It was just too loosey goosey and all over the place. Also, I know Steve returned all the Stones to their original timelines, but does that erase their future selves’ actions? Do the timelines that rippled out from those actions cease to exist? I assume so because the Ancient One said they needed to snip off all the alternate branches because their existence would lead to chaos, but at the same time, that makes Steve’s whole journey at the end make no sense whatsoever. But maybe that doesn’t matter because he was changing time through quantum jumps rather than using the Stones? That said, revisiting the past was a lot of fun and was a nostalgic ride; it was nice to see how far they’ve come and to say hello to the characters we started out with and fell in love with in the first place. We get to see Gamora and Nebula with Thanos which we should have seen in GotG 1 and 2, but whatever! We got to see what happened after the Avengers got Loki and the Tesseract under custody!
Seeing all these old familiar faces, many of them who are now gone, was great, but also incredibly distracting. Some of them felt shoehorned in like Rumlow and the gang. It was disconcerting. I would’ve imagined Steve’s first meeting with the Strike team to be after he went into SHIELD (like...why are they even there? The battle’s gone lol).
SEVERELY disappointed that the Big Three didn’t have a bigger fight. I guess they had to nerf Thor because the fight would be over in three seconds considering those three, aside from Wanda, were the only ones to really give Thanos a run for his money (Thor almost killed Thanos, Tony somehow went hand-to-hand in combat with him and actually hurt him too, and Steve was able to stop his fist). Seeing Steve finally wield Mjolnir was cool and I almost cheered out loud, but I also wish we got to see Tony use it because it felt like they were all worthy and united in their fervent desire to stop Thanos and save the world that it didn’t matter who wielded it, you know?
I wish they delved more into legacy, not just because that’s been a big recurrent theme for Tony since IM1, but because it would add depth to the Big Three’s farewells (although it seems like we’ll see Thor in GotG now). They can go their separate ways from the Avengers because they built a team that would live on and because more people showed up to help out (e.g., Strange and the masters, the Guardians, Wakandans, Carol, etc.). We got a bit of that when everyone made their grand entrance, but it would have been something for these three to realize...oh, this is what they’ve been working towards. This was the dream all along. This is the future Tony imagined when restarting the Avengers. This is what they’ll leave behind (and on a personal note, I wish we got to see more of that with Morgan instead of her just saying she wanted cheeseburgers. SHOW us that she’s Tony’s kid (and Pepper’s) through and through).
The callbacks were both good and hamfisted. There were some good ones and some really bad ones. It just felt really fanservice-y in a bad way when it could’ve been tastefully done. It was emotionally manipulative except it failed to manipulate me lmao? Like having Steve and Bucky share their lines from TFA? Meh. The line about cheeseburgers with Morgan and Happy? Cue the eye rolls. They went for cheap shots rather than things that would be more meaningful (LIKE REITERATING THE LEGACY THEME LOL).
I have extremely mixed feelings about the way the Big Three left. I’ll focus on that when I talk about the characters, but I’ll focus on Tony’s funeral right now. Where’s Natasha’s funeral? Where’s Tony’s eulogy? It was such a mind-boggling move to have the funeral be that short. I loved seeing that Tony, the man who had everything and nothing, the man who had no family, have so many people whom he loved and who loved him mourn him. All those people he left behind? The Russos remembering to include Harley and then choosing to end the shot with Fury, the one to bring him into the fold all those years ago because he believed in and cared for Tony from the very beginning? That gutted me. But god!!!! We got two seconds to say goodbye to a character who’s defined this entire era of the MCU and who pretty much is responsible for the MCU being a thing in the first place! I don’t need an extended service or anything, but man...it just was super quick.
Speaking of Tony and death, I loved that Rhodey was the first person to get to Tony because he’s always been that for Tony. He was there for Tony before anyone else, he’s the first person in Tony’s family we’re introduced to in IM1, and he was the one who got Tony when Tony needed him in IM1 and IM2 (found him in the desert and was there when Tony nearly collapsed from palladium poisoning). I loved that Pepper had a moment to reassure Tony and ease him into the afterlife, the way she’s always tried to make things easy for him and to make sure that he knows things will be all right because she’ll make it all right. I loved that Peter had a moment because he is, more than anyone else, Tony’s first true child (okay, Harley was his first ever, but Peter was The One). But I got pissed that none of the Avengers got to be there because the Avengers as an idea and as a family meant the most to Natasha and Tony, and considering the fallout of CA:CW, it would’ve been nice to have that moment where they were there for him. He wasn’t alone. They’re there for him until the end. It genuinely blows my mind that neither Thor nor Steve got to say even one final thing to him. LIKE!!!!! I love Peter, but why did you waste so much time with him! We’ll deal with his grief in FFH ffs! Give that time to Thor and Steve whom we’re also saying goodbye to! This is the last time the trio will be together! AHHHHHHH.
Lowkey don’t know why they wouldn’t just undo the last five years/bring them back right after they killed Thanos other than Tony having a family tbh, but whatever lol.
The fight at the end was super cool but also stupid lol. But I did like seeing teamwork! I loved seeing the gauntlet being passed around without hesitation even when a lot of people didn’t know each other.
The thing with Nebula’s memory was....so dumb? She’s a different Nebula from a different timeline; they’re two different individuals existing, but idk I guess they tried to explain it as two computers trying to use the same hard/memory drive although really, the better comparison would be two unique computers using the same network in which case...why is there even a problem lmao. It just seemed so convenient, but oh well.
Okay, you know what? This was super long so I’m going to write about the characters and their relationships in a separate post. This kind of ended up sounding a lot more negative than I expected, but all of the things I mentioned above I liked and disliked in equal measure. It’s just...the ideas were there but weren’t executed well imo.

Cue custody battle. (Also if Steven is fused with a mouse Carrie wouldn't recognize him right away)
another Funny bit- squeaky screeching at Steven for letting him starve like how dare you forget to feed him his daily cheese meals!!
Lol I'll probably doodle this au on aggie.io tonight
Have we thought about an au where Steven was taking instead of carrie? At least Ik @liloskull343 have talked about this idea once on discord
But basically Steven gets kidnapped by the facility instead. Why? bc (petty reasons if Calvin is involved) they they needed his intelligence for something (obviously nothing good) his fate is unknown currently
Carrie still goes with her husband's lastname despite everyone basically telling her husband is dead and never coming back. She's stubborn and doesn't want to believe it.
no she doesn't get fused with squeaky. Cuz there is no way she would put the helmet on. So squeaky is just still a regular vicious lab mouse. Also he was probably starving before Carrie found him bc Steven hasn't been there to feed him so ooof.
ig Carrie would become word girl's mentor. Not as good as Steven was canonically but just trying her best. Just going by the book Steven wrote before his disappearance. she does a bit of tinkering with the notes Steven left for inventions her planned on making, occasionally stepping in to help word girl out when it gets too much
I think we made mention of it in the swap au with Kid Math taking Wordgirl's place and Carrie becoming Dr. Calico. But yes I do love this idea. Does Steven still end up being part cat like regular Carrie or does he become part mouse instead?
