funnily enough the easiest context to think of a "face family" situation in the strongest sense of the last word (to me) would be like. specifically thanksgiving because it's The american "family reunion" bullshit holiday (to me) (the idea of how things are "supposed" to be is vital for this concept.), and ame and cana get a 2-3 total of their bored friends mixed into it too, and then fruk argue about stupid shit in the kitchen for half an hour and everyone pretends they don't hear it through the wall, until at some point france goes "well at least the boys have each other's backs!" all passive aggressive and someone snickers a little too loudly from the living room.
