The party in the sorority house was in full swing and yet Foster was still outside- checking each person who came through. She wasn't alone- there were other sisters out there with her. But she was responsible. She led the house. She needed to make sure that the only people who got in were not going to harsh any atmosphere already in there. It was the beginning of the year and they needed to start it on the right foot. But all of those thoughts, those ideas, went right out the door when she saw the other walking up the house steps. Maybe a part of a group, maybe not, but Foster couldn't tear her eyes away. "IDs guys. We're not getting shut down for the first party of the year," She made a point to reach for the stranger's hand, beyond the rest who offered, to see her name, to see her age. To be nearer.

"hey!" was that too enthusiastic of a greeting? tamsin didn't know but the second it left her lips it left her internally cringing. it had been easy enough shooting messages with graham back and forth and she hadn't felt too worried about actually meeting up with her. until now, that was. the few other times they'd spent time together had been happy little accidents and there was something in her that felt — embarrassed by the idea that she was going out of her way to see her. swirling the straw around in her drink, she took a rather hefty sip and then offered a smile. "how are you? you look good."

"surprise!" sofia said with a bottle of champagne in one hand and a bottle of tequila in the other. she knew how important this interview was to merritt, it was the job of her dreams and even though it was far away she hoped that she got it. it was a bit difficult for both of them to try and find something after school. thankfully sofia found something close to school with a handful of their other friends deciding to stick around and stay local. "i have a feeling we'll be opening the champagne…" she said with a smile and a small wiggle of her eyebrows. they had done the distance before from both of their internships and even though it took a bit of time for them to get into a schedule but she knew that they had both grown from them and could make it worth it. "if you're feeling ballsy we can still have the tequila but that's just in case they're making you go through another interview." the last thing she wanted was for her to get rejected especially since she knew how hard she had been trying and how badly she wanted this. as she took a seat on her couch in her apartment, she set both bottles down on her coffee table and gave her a wide smile. "c'mon i want to hear all about it. how did it go? did you have that same lady as last time? you said she really liked you."

this was twice in the last week alone that slater had convinced her friends to come to this bar, pretending she was interested in their life updates when really she was just waiting to spy a certain someone behind the bar. the very moment she caught sight of her, she was distracted, peering at her over and over, wondering if cruz had noticed her too. eventually she made her excuse to go over, promising she'd bring back shots as she beelined to where the object of her desire happened to be. "fancy seeing you here."

nearly as soon as she’d leaned in to close the gap between them, pressing her lips against theirs without even being fully conscious of her actions, eden felt filled with regret. “oh— oh god.” just as quickly as she’d leaned in, she recoiled, a hand covering her mouth as if she could physically wipe away the evidence of what she’d just done. “i’m so, so sorry, i don’t... i shouldn’t have done that. i didn’t mean to.” the most confusing aspect of all was that it hadn’t been a mistake. staring into their eyes after having poured her heart out to her boyfriend’s best friend, eden really had wanted to kiss them. and, more than that, she’d liked it.

thea actually doesn't even know what to say to that. she's sure there have been other people that andrea has found attractive and considered beautiful. they haven't been together for some time now and she isn't naïve enough not to think there haven't been others — others who may have been beautiful in their own respective moments with her. instead, she only offers a smile and a small shake of her head. she's sure it's better that she says nothing. "not as often as you might think. i suppose when i'm surrounded by beautiful flower arrangements all the time, it's easy to fall to the background." it's not much of a save for either of them but she hopes it stops things from becoming too awkward. "i don't know, dre. she was... something else, i swear. sometimes i think i should start writing a book about all the bat-shit quotes i hear. i'm sure i could collaborate with other vendors. maybe make enough i don't have to hear them anymore." except, thea actually loves her job despite the complainers. "i suppose as long as you're not getting too much of a hard time, that's what matters right now though. i know weddings can bring out lots of different feelings and sides to people." they can even scare people off, she thinks. "looks like things are really working out though, right? for the both of us. that's... nice."

Andrea falls silent for a moment, everything she wanted to say feels like it's far too much for this impromptu coffee outing but she also doesn't know when she'll have Thea alone again. Sure, Thea was her friend's wedding florist but it could be strictly business after this moment and maybe this was her only change. She's so torn, everything that she's been feeling since the two of them had split up was slowly bubbling up to the surface. "You'll always be the most beautiful person I've ever met, no one can even begin to compare." It's a little too honest, especially when her words are paired with a look that's reminiscent of how she used to look at Thea when they were together, a look that's full of adoration. "I'm sure people tell you that all the time," she jokes to cut the moment. She can't help but chuckle at the bridezilla, it really was wild how some people would act around their weddings. "Natural blue roses? How does someone even say that phrase without knowing that isn't a thing that actually exists? Her friends sound like saints, I can only imagine the trouble she was giving all of her other vendors."

"I may have gone a little far decorating your apartment-" First words out of his mouth once West walked through the door. Indeed, the place was suddenly Halloween central. "We g-got a...a big tip from our last graveyard video so I bought it all with that."

as much as sofia wanted to hide in her room at just the thought of another party, this time their house was hosting. after everything that happened with merritt, she assumed the two of them had left off on good terms. she spent the whole night there and even had the brunette walk her back home, promising that they would hang out to no prevail. she hadn't heard anything from her, and she asked many of her sisters if she was overthinking all of this to which they said she'd reach out eventually. it seemed like that never came, and here they were hosting their frat once again. maybe she thought they had too much of a connection, and merritt was just looking for something quick like everyone else. that thought lingered far to long in her head for someone she had only met once. finally she pulled herself out of bed and got dressed in whatever theme they decided on before heading downstairs.

the party was already in full swing once she came downstairs and similar to their first meeting, sofia had a beer in hand and decided to hang in the corner. every now and then she'd engage in conversation, but her eyes were locked on the crowd trying to see if merritt would show up. she was almost done sipping her second beer when she saw another mob of brothers walk in and quickly picked out the brunette from the crowd. her heart sped up as she tried not to stare but it was much easier said than done. there was a huge mix of emotions filling her, excitement that she showed up, anger that she hadn't reached out and had the nerve to show up now. her eyes flickered back down, hoping that she would come over and if not, that one of her sisters or her brothers would push them together.

with her heart pounding in her chest, charlie looked up at duncan, completely in awe of their talent, in awe of them. to be the first to hear a song that was a work in progress was something extremely special to her. they hadn't long ago had their first date, a first date that had meant to be a few hours yet seemingly lasted an entire weekend. it wasn't like any experience charlie had ever had before. the brunette was completely captivated by the young musician, one she had come to meet by complete chance through her community work and the pair clicked instantly. "you make it look so easy. i'd ask you to teach me how to play but i'd have a really hard time concentrating on anything but you."
