Applications are invited for hiring/empanelment of project assistants (Level II) under sponsored projects as per the following requirements

Position Name: Project Assistant-II (01 post)

Code: BT01

Project title: LOTUS: LOwcost innovative Technology for water quality monitoring and water resources management for Urban and rural water systems in India.

Qualification: B. Tech Biotechnology/ M. Sc Biotechnology/Botany/Zoology

Job Requirement: Analysis of water samples, water quality monitoring sensor testing in drinking water supplies and algal treatment plants/ Algal & plant culture.

Stipend per month (consolidated): 25,000/-

Position Name: Project Assistant-II (01 post)

Code: EE01

Project title: Aid for Environmental Sustainability Activities with Importance to Water Bodies at Puducherry Region

Mandatory Qualification: B.E / B.Tech – Biotechnology /Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Chemical Engineering

Desirable:

M.E / M.Tech – Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science and Technology / Remote Sensing

Knowledge and experience working on Remote Sensing and GIS tools and Softwares

Job Requirement: 1) Field visit, Data collection, sampling and analysis 2)Working on Remote Sensing and GIS-based applications

Stipend per month (consolidated): 25,000/-

Position Name: Project Assistant-II (01 post)

Code: BT02

Project title: Preparation of Compendium on Environmental Statistics in the UT of Puducherry under SSS Scheme

Qualification: M. Sc., Biochemistry/Microbiology /Biotechnology

Job Requirement: Field data collection related to ecosystem biodiversity and statistical analysis

Stipend per month (consolidated): 25,000/-

Age limit: 30 years as on closing date of application.

Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman/other statutory groups

The engagement is purely on temporary and contract basis under the sponsored projects undertaken by CSIRNEERI, which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the projects, satisfactory performance/conduct of the candidate and will be coterminous with the project duration. Maximum duration in one project or in different projects taken together in CSIR shall not be more than five years in any case. The Project Assistants will be working at NEERI, Chennai Zonal Centre, Chennai.

The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and should be in the area mentioned above. Mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview or test. The candidates should, therefore, mention all the details including qualification, experience, etc. in the relevant area, supporting documents, etc. and ensure that all details are complete and accurate. The cut-off-date of the maximum age limit will be the closing date of the application.

All eligible candidates as per advertisement are required to appear before the Recruitment Committee for a personal interview or test (or both) at CSIR-NEERI, Chennai Zonal Centre, Chennai. The engagement shall be an assignment and not an appointment (temporary or otherwise) in CSIR-NEERI. It would, therefore, not confer any right or claim, implicit on the candidates for regularization against any post in CSIR-NEERI or under any scheme of CSIR. However, the candidates are encouraged to improve their qualifications during their tenure.

Interviews Details: Interviews shall be conducted at CSIR-NEERI, Chennai Zonal Centre, Chennai, CSIR-Madras Complex, Taramani, Chennai-600 113.

No TA/DA will be admissible to the candidates for appearing interview /Test.

The decision of recruitment committee, duly approved by the competent authority will be final. Latecomers will not be entertained at any cost and no interim enquiries will be entertained in this regard.
