mini rant but i fucking HATE the orv la. okay, fuck, scratch that, i'm not even gonna ASSOCIATE it with orv. that, thing. for one, and most obvious for currently going trending on twitter; the fucking GUNS. HELLO? are they not rich enough to get sword props? did they even read the source material?? theyre not just using swords because why the fuck not you know there's like actual reasons that are deeply rooted into worldbuilding and when you willy nilly decide to change them into guns and still expect to be able to just skirt off with the original plot then you are fucking mistaken. like there are constellations that have weapon specific stigmas and characters w weapon specific skills like why the fuck did you give lee jihye of all people a gun too ofmgnjfjg like what is she gonna do with that thing??????

if you're the same anon as the og ask i am so so so sorry about the delay T_T T_T i was drafting my answer and then boom life happened ..... anyways. thank you for enjoying my thoughts wah <3333333 "they exist but they don't" SAME SAME frfr. like the most on-point (internet) discussion I've read on ages is that the stage of life you're in is often the only factor that matters, and that can vary a lot based on like your past experiences and stuff. and from my own perspective this holds true—similarly, in genshin where all the playable characters have jobs it's hard to kind of quantify them into really distinct age ranges tbh. sometimes it's just vibes (unfortunately vibes often includes height bc it's a game w not very diverse model types). anyways! character hcs:

sumeru (sans scaramouche): collei, cyno, tighnari, faruzan, layla, nilou

i think collei has an actual canon age right? unless I'm tripping and fanon has solidified so much in everyone's minds. I still haven't read the manhua <3 but iirc people think she's 12-13 there right. maybe she's like 17 rn, i can see anywhere from 14-16 though. idk anything abt her timeline so these are quite literally guesstimates from vibes and they're likely to be wrong. Layla is such a college girlie, she's like 19-20 and sleep deprived (same fr); begging for her to catch a break on behalf of uni students everywhere. I don't have a set age for Faruzan, I can see her anywhere from 30-40, 26 years old minimum (the redesigns people give her where she looks visibly older are so cool <3). Given she was a pretty well known researcher back in her day and since academia is a long and arduous career choice, I think it makes sense; also if she's like way older than Kaveh appearance wise (≥ 10 years) , even if she hadn't gotten trapped for a century, that would be sick af (their dynamic is impeccable and I think a larger age difference makes it better, sweeter, and funnier). Nilou also feels 19-20 years old to me; no real explanation, she just has a young adult vibe, like someone just out of her teenage years but quite capable at managing her life, although still testing out responsibility for major decisions and stuff like that (age solidarity w yun jin)

iirc cyno was already mahamatra or something WHILE tighnari was still in school; thus this makes cynonari EXTREMELY funny if you're a moral purist who ships it and thinks they fell in love in their akademiya days LOL. jkjk it's also a reasonable interpretation that Cyno became mahamatra at an insanely young age, since uhhh fucked up temple of silence background smth smth and honestly it feels in character for him to go buck wild at a young age like that (person most suited for young collei fr). HOWEVER. personally I think being mahamatra at like 19 is insane—thus I think tighnari's probably 23, cyno might be 27? I don't know if that makes it """""""better""""""" from an age gap standpoint but I also don't really care. Cyno being older but more joking around friends, while Tighnari is the younger kohai but serious and no-nonsense is pretty funny to me and when they're both serious you know you're fucked

anyways lyney and lynette are confirmed to be at least 10 from Lyney's story quest. such helpful information I know lol. I'd think they're probably around 19-20? 18 minimum—I personally wouldn't watch 18 year olds do gravity defying magic tricks at the nation's biggest opera house—being like 1 year older doesn't make it any better ofc lol, but I think they're above the teenage threshold bc of that. Kinda fucked up to think about the timeline and house of hearth stuff though with this in mind

Freminet I'd say is around 16; 14 minimum. No thoughts for this just vibes. mmmmm idk when he was adopted into the house, if he's around 4-5 years younger than L+L, and let's say they entered the House when they were maybe 6-9 (my headcanons, is it now possible to piece together an accurate timeline of this from in-game lore??), and that was maybe 3-4 years after freminet entered, he probably was like 5-7 when he entered... wah frem............. poor child I'm giving him a hug (knowing that he's also a killing machine)

i just finished ffxv like last night (more like early this morning...) but lowkey i was too depressed to go through the dlc. this was really sad.

SPOILERS (MAIN story didnt open it back up to ch 15 yet)

i think if you are a #loyal fan then you read that last post where i meant to play this game originally. lowkey i liked this better than the remake even though everyone else hates on it. i think after going through the game's history the ending did feel a little rushed so i didnt feel the exact same sadness i did with ccr but i nearly shed a tear at that ending. IMO this game really had a lot of potential, like i don't understand the complaints about the open world. like u hear botw is great an all but it has the exact same "issues" tbh—i have it in quotes bc ofc the open world is going to be a little bit more empty—if you go outside everything will be empty too?? and i mean like at least just about every structure in this game has a side quest tied to it, while botw/totk leave SOOO many mysteries and have such a strange connection between the lore; this one just has too much for you to think about it in detail. like compared to ff7r there feels like more in ffxv too, ive got like 50hr in xv compared to my barely 30 in remake. though afaik rebirth is open world (sale was only $48 too expensive for license only will review when it goes 50% off ish) and the original by technicalities is as well and really this game kind of feels like a precursor to ff7r. like theres an anime, a movie, and a novel too but SO much cancelled content (which apparently was cancelled bc the director left on "good"(BAD) terms with sqenix and the team and budget were moved over to some other game) like i watched one of the old trailers right after finishing the game and lowkey now I'M pissed off on Tabata's behalf like the only reason this went to essentially shit is due to tabata's corporate opps... did they not pay attention to shinra at all?? i heard xvi and rebirth did NAWT sell well (obvs in part cause they were ps exclusive) and that i say is tabatas curse.... like ?/?. off topic but i saw that evil cs major again. i think we made eye contact. MY fault for going outside (it was an omen). back to topic at hand im looking at tabatas works (includes ff7cc) and honestly afaik these have a totally different feel from the other guy's (nomura idk) work like i think i dont have anymore to say on this topic but i have more to say

ffxv feels soooo American like maybe its just cuz of cindy (speaking of im kind of surprised they didnt just rate the game M) & i remember back in 2016/17 when the game came out it was so hyped up and for good reason cuz its open world but with a car. i feel like the game is car centric (just like american society!!) and like even when its not you get to see these huge big cities like altissia (felt like i was playing infinity nikki there lol) or insomnia or even lestallum but the game again really just gets cut short at Nibelheim (Nifelheim??) and the relationship with the bros gets explored really deeply. the thing with that though is the relationship with luna does not.... like prompto and noct have better chemistry than noct/luna (tbf luna was the one that set them up). i feel like though you need to see the companion media to experience the full game, like when i got to insomnia i lowkey dgaf until i watched brotherhood (im inspired by prompto) bc you see all of the bros with noct and it kind of just sets in how bad its really gotten for Lucis (speaking of, the map is unfinished?? there seems to be a region next to insomnia + insomnia is on the base map looking regular so i wonder if there was gonna be more... same with altissia bc you can get to altissia and the main continent directly but not nifelhiem) bc lowkey the game doesn't really set it in for you. not that big of a deal though especially since 7 has the same issue.

anyways my mind is lowkey like two marbles clacking around rn and i know i wanted to say something but im forgetting what so that will be in a later post (when i finish dlc). thanks (sorry) for coming to my ted talk

seems like a CSZ-181 with a qjc-88 in a turret mount, these are pretty rare right now but ive heard theyre being bought up in large numbers to replace the four wheeled light vehicles in light infantry units

2.A Jonyang jy813 heavy tractor with a powered trailer, some of these were bought for mountain units a few year back makes perfect sense to be tested here, looks like metal grating over the windows has been added? this seems to be mostly about concern of rocks i doubt its thick enough to work well as slat armor

3.this one im having a hard time identifying, it seems kind of like maybe a miniaturized version of the mule-200? or maybe something based on the themis, thats my best bet

4. not sure of the specifics on this one either it looks similar to some nanjing zhixingfei technology co. ltd agricultural drone models. here being used as a light airlift vehicle to supply cliff positions

5. this one really interests me in that it seems like something that would actually be used, no clue on a designation but its just a simple cart connected to a belt

6. heres the big loser of the trials, the unitree go2 quadreped ugv, its kind of stumbling even under this weight

7. the cs/vp4 this one has already been adopted in china and venezuela, interestingly this one looks a lot more like the venezuelan lynx model than prior chinese contracts

8. this is the other one that is getting a lot of attention is the exoskeleton, no clue about this one pretty much any way? i have no knowledge here

They've turned into a character I'd really like to keep for a long time if I can. But I will ALWAYS credit you as the sole reason why they even exist in the first place♥️

I see the boys' tongue as one of their creepy factors! It's intimidating and a little gross (if you're on the wrong end of their attention) but if you're a sweet human who happens to have captured their heart (or lack thereof), then it's just another tongue, if not a bit more interesting ajsdlfjdas

They are oh so gentle, and maybe a little cheeky with that tongue hehe. In all seriousness, they are mindful and careful, as they are with all of their other aspects when up close and personal with their little hunter! ♥

It's so easy to love when you create so many beautiful things! I also love your thoughts and ideas behind your cryptid designs, it's very inspiring! Keep them for as long as you'd like! They're yours entirely!

I give some thoughts about heart-eating and some of the boys' senses below, which involves blood, hearts, heavy kissing, and spoilers for Cryptid Sightings.

So, I've kept thinking about it ever since your art of the tongue anatomy and figured this would be a good time to share: The boys have very strong tastebuds; a crazy powerful taste. (All demonic cryptids share this trait.) When they taste blood and meat, it is sweet and savory and they can derive information from that taste (like when they sampled Y/N's blood left behind in the trailer after the rake attack and could deduce that their heart was still beating when this smear of blood was spilled). That carries over whenever they kiss Y/N, which is a very sensory experience for them. Even though they lack lips and often kisses are given via nuzzles or Y/N kissing them on their teeth, they make up for it with their tongue—not to say that they're invading Y/N's mouth every time. Just that they will occasionally give little flicks with the tip of their tongue to Y/N's lips or along their cheek to taste their essence (and if the moment's right, more with a deeper kiss).

CS: Supernatural Investigations is Criminally (hehe) Underrated

Ok so I know this blog is basically all Shoot from the Hip at this point, but don't worry I haven't forgotten my roots of Criminal Case!

I usually see people lump Supernatural Investigations with Travel in Time and City of Romance as the games where Pretty Simple "fell off" and it honestly sucks because I love Supernatural Investigations. There's just something so charming about the ragtag group of supernatural hunters who live together in trailers and habitually commit identity fraud, it's a really nice change of pace compared to the traditional police setting of the previous games.

The character designs are also amazing, and each main character has so much life and personality. I found myself attached to pretty much all off the supernatural hunter crew within the third case. I love their banter and how genuinely close they all seem with each other and it's just such a charming found family-esque dynamic.

I understand some of the complaints about the game, and I agree with some of them, but I also feel like Supernatural Investigations has so much to offer and is just a really nice change of pace.

Anyways, I just like this game a lot and I find it a little sad that it's viewed so lowly by a big part of the fandom.
