Yoooo I invented a stll nameless atla au a long time ago and I think it is awesome so Imma tell you because why not.

So people in the atla verse have like "traids" . And it is genetic. So it depends on what genes you have to have those traids. So:

The people of the watertribes are like the easiest: they have fish scales on their neck, sides, a little on their faces and scales go down to a little over their wrists. They also have gills to breathe under water and they have webbed feet which helps them swim under water. Imma show you pictures:

The first picture (one left) is them from the front and the second one is them from the back. Also don't mind my drawing skills and very good ✨editing✨

The airnomads have wings. Big fluffy white wings. The new airbenders in tlok have smaller ones and they are more yellowish.

Here comes the earthkingdom folks because the firenation is pretty complicated.

Earthern folks have dinosaur/snake scales. Similar like the watertribe's fish scales but with harder dinosaur textured scales. They have a tail and have spikes down their back/spine and tail. Their neck, knees, shoulders and arms (down to their elbows and a tiny bit further) have scales too.

You know the process. Front is the left one back is the right one. Here on the right one there is colour on the knees which isn't true. They only have scales on their knees. And the spikes aren't drawn because they are retractable. If a spike breaks it's like braking a bone with no way to "heal" it (aka like teeth lol)

The firenation folks are very interesting. They have horns. It depends on how skilled of a fighter a firenation civilian is to have big horns pointing up. Horns in general can only grow up to 20cm which is the highest they can get. Everyone has them and if one of them breaks the person dies on the spot but back to the cool stuff. Everyone has horns. They are shortest with 4cm when a kid is born. They are always born with black horns which means nonbender. But when they get older it depends on how week the persons fire is for the colour (if they are a nonbender it stays black). Cs it changes with time. Normally it is orange because if you are a good firebender your fire will have the colour orange. Azula has blue fire obviously. And Zuko has orange cs horns can only have one and rainbow is basically white which he can not bend white fire. The royals also have a gold line on their horns on the side. Looks like this:

Maybe I'll do another post adding to it cs damn I thaught about this shit for so long and this is only how they look from the outside. Like there is so much more I thought about like uses and pros and cons etc.
