heya! just wanted to stop in and say i watched your presentation on anti-otherkin earlier today and found it really enlightening! i’ve been a bit of a lurker in alterhuman spaces for years, mostly keeping my experiences to myself or between very specific friends, but i also feel compelled to become more open about it. (as an anthropology student, it’s funny to me that i champion discussing and learning about identity and culture, yet i’m hesitant to do so when it comes to my own.)

your work has been a really positive influence, and it’s encouraged me to really dig into my own alterhuman identity and treat it as a legitimate experience with profound personal meaning, rather than something that i should sweep into a closet and pretend isn’t there. that said, thank you for all your hard work!

This was a really really nice ask and I've been sitting on answering it because every time I've tried I dissolve into keysmashes of feelings. It's beyond gratifying to know that my work is helpful to other people, and that I'm not just shouting or posting into a void like it can sometimes feel. It's just?!?! Aldjfjslfjfjdkdid.
