After a four-year absence, fright-night music finally returns to Omega Radio in exhilarating fashion. We fill in for Over The Horizon for a bonus Halloween broadcast of full-length demos, EP’s, and releases featuring many underground goth-rock and death-rock artists. It’s one of many darkness-based showcases we plan on doing in the next few colder months ahead, so do enjoy.

Two more broadcasts and Omega wraps up ten years on the air at WUSB. Stay tuned for more diverse sounds to come.

Twin Tribes: “Fantasmas” (2019)

Harkening back to when they opened for Boy Harsher at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg for a two-band bill. I’m surprised that one of my favorite mutuals (Cat) doesn’t have any Twin Tribes on her Spotify playlist with all the goth rock she has on it. I’m devoid of goth rock / deathrock myself despite discovering recent greats in Pawns, Cruz De Navajas, Rath, Otzi, False Figure, Adrenochrome, Zotz, Crvel; all which were showcased on Omega WUSB’s Halloween broadcast, but they’re a wonderful reminder of where it all started for me. They’re also a bar that’s set for any future goth rock bands of interest. They have to be fast-paced, an Eighties’ aesthetic chill, and have an exhilarating air to them. Looks like Twin Tribes hit all those targets with Fantasmas, a former orphan single later released on their 2019 album Ceremony. Setlist.fm doesn’t have their performance listed, but I do remember them playing it that night. It was an unbeatable night at that, too.
