The Wreckage of the Good Ship Dread
Tumblr media
Down in the deep where the slumbering sleep,
All the underhand men who played God in a heap,
Underwater can't weep for their cheap sins undone
By the one true King and the son of the Sun.
This grave is a maze for the rats who have fled
From the blood of the wood of the good ship Dread
Whence the test and the gaze of the mighty decreed
To re-bloody in double these dead souls in fleas.
*
The stowaway whore found a bed below deck
In the straw before they came aboard all bedecked
In their daggers and rags unaware of the swag
Hiding huddled and under the care of a hag.
The law is that women are chores for the crew
Who are outlaws at war and too busy to screw
But to gnaw on a beautiful neck is the cure
And the lure for one's who the dutiful rue.
They found her and bound her, all circling round
The great mast where her feet dangled just off the ground,
Then they angled their knives to rip paper thin cloth
And upon her they ravaged their meaningless wrath.
Blood washed the deck red once her tears were shed,
Once she'd had her clothes shredded and when she'd been bed,
Then she died as the bitch and the bride of the ship,
Lost her riches and hide to the brigadier’s whip.
*
Yet she let out a prayer or a curse to the air
From a verse of a book that I dare not declare,
Unaware of the witch or the saint who repents
The complaint of the snitch did not taint their offense.
Her whisper was caught by the wind as she cried,
Crisper than cold, a strange soft suicide,
And she wished her life sacrificed, taken as bait
On the salty black alter of fisherman's fate.
Disgust not the king with the power to strike
From Poseidon’s own hell with his devilish spike
Whence the wing and the tooth of the Kraken is born,
Made to revel in death with his merciless yawn.
The Kraken cares not for your prayer or your sword,
The inflexible butcher is slave to the Lord,
Bold nor coward hath made him inclined with retort
For his prey knows the way of the world when they’re caught-
His method’s devouring terrified eyes,
Disabusing fresh bones from their fleshy disguise
And then harvesting skins to make harrowing coats
For the offspring of He you unwisely provoked.
*
The ship splintered under his tentacles black,
Ripped apart, and the crew couldn't brave an attack,
For they knew they were done but they'd run nonetheless
Lest the jaws of defeat should prove darker than death.
Thus they drowned down in darkness, salt swallowed and sick,
Found not by the monster who wallows in slick,
Followed too by the trick though her face knew no fear
For she died dried eyed knowing vengeance was near.
Here now the crustaceans pick skin from the bone
While the homeless and lecherous traitors atone
For their pride in the blue, wide, and bottomless sea,
All alone while the tide cleans their skeletons free.

jan 1 - mola mola
known by a lot of other names like the ocean sunfish, wheel fish, or moon fish, this silly critter is related to pufferfish, but it got lost along the way and turned into a giant that i think doesn’t look like it’s fit for all three dimensions.
the mola mola is the largest and most well-known in its genus, and one of the heaviest bony fish at a few thousand pounds. its name comes from mola in latin, which means millstone. millstone millstone :)
it spends time sunbathing near the surface of the water so roaming seabirds can help pick off the many species of parasites that live on it, but they can also dive deeply to get their meals of crustaceans and jellies. they do not chew, but instead… breathe their food in and out? they are so silly! and silly looking:

So basically, I had three problems:
My webcam points directly behind me at my bed, which is an unsavory background for meetings and potential interviews. Zoom's autoblur doesn't handle it well.
WFH area is too close and linked to the same space as my bed, makes it too easy to slide into bed when I'm working and makes bed feel too much like its in the "working zone", ideally need seperation
I have unused swag as fuck vintage style posters of plants and crustaceans
The solution:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's cozy, but a little deranged
Made some adjustments to my room that are kinda ominous and fucked up, gonna need opinions on it

Soooo since I can't escape articles about spongebob episodes being banned, let's talk about it!
Two of which has been banned. Kwarantined Krab from season 12 and Mid-life Crustacean from season 3.
Kwaratined Krab was because of the whole virus plot and with the pandemic going on, probably is an uncomfortable plot. I know some people brought up "why hasn't episodes like fungus among us have been banned?" I assumed it probably because kwarantined krab, the ending was that there was no virus and they were all forced quarantined for no reason. And we are dealing with an issue with a lot of people not taking covid-19 seriously or assuming its a government conspiracy. Where I'm from, there's regular protests against quarantine and masks claiming it's some kind of conspiracy or it's not as bad as they make it seem.
That's just my guess. But the episode Once Bitten is still up. Where there's mass hysteria over "mad snail disease" but it all turns out to be fake. Theres also the episode Cooties from the show The Penguins of Madagascar that's still up. Which pretty similar to Kwarantined Krab. So idk.
The other episode that got banned and brought up all this talk about banned spongebob episodes is Mid-life Crustacean. It's a classic. Still quoted today which is why it got people talking when it got banned.
It got banned for a particular scene. Where spongebob, Patrick, and Mr. Krabs decide to go on a panty raid. Stealing some girls underwear. This scene got banned for inappropriate content for children. Because,,, panty raid. I'll be honest, I don't know what to say about this. I watched this a million times as a kid and I never got what they really meant. I just assumed Mr. Krabs was enthusiastic because they're doing something ""cool"" like stealing. Even if it's not for anything really interesting. And I assumed it was just underwear because toilet humor. There was another cartoon I remember as a kid that also had a similar "panty raid" plot. I think it was sidekick. Not sure. But anyways.
I feel like I am a bit biased since I watched it as a kid and didn't think much of it. Stealing some girls underwear is actually creepy when you think about it.
It shouldn't even be said "when you think about it" it just is creepy. And it's treated as something goofy and silly. Adorkable of them to violate a woman's space. But also the episode has been out for almost 20 years. Pretty pointless, and isn't really the focus of the episode either.
There are other episodes that are much more inappropriate too from later seasons so that's worth being said. *cough*one course meal*cough*
Thats as much as I've got to say on it.
I'm curious to hear other's opinions on this too! Please share!

so obviously insectivory in humans is very swag and i think people(s) who eat insects and arachnids are cool and i understand the environmental argument for pushing for an insect-based diet. HOWEVER. i Will Not stand for people saying “umm well crustaceans are just sea bugs and its normal in western countries to eat those so you shouldnt be grossed out by eating bugs and spiders”
okay first of all just because i think calamari/octopus isnt gross to eat doesnt mean i dont think other mollusks like snails oysters etc arent Kind Of Gross, and like, those are western delicacies too. just because id probably try rabbit meat doesnt mean id be super willing to go for a small mammal like a guinea pig, rat, or squirrel. even though squirrels are commonly eaten in the region where i live!!
and second of all when i eat a crab im not. eating A CRAB i eat the meat inside it. im not popping a whole crab in my mouth, legs and eye stalks and pincers and all you know? i dont eat shrimp but even then you strip that bad boy and get all the nasty bits off it b4 u eat. most insects & arachnids are eaten Whole like the freaky lil legs and all. Im Not Doing That
now if it was otherwise incorporated into a dish where its less about Just The Bug, or something like, mealworms, id be more willing to eat it but im sorry im not eating a fried tarantula or anything with a bunch of freaky lil legs in my mouth. i cant imagine eating a raw cricket to be an appetizing sensation tbh

Curating your ultimate RAM visit
As the largest museum in Western Canada, we understand that it may feel a little daunting to visit RAM – where do you start? What are the must-see objects? What if you don’t have a lot of time?
Fear not: We’ve compiled a collection of highlights that will satisfy any visitor, from the casual dabblers to history buffs!
The Nature Lover
If you’re looking for dazzling geodes, wild animals, and ancient creatures, you’ll want to head up, up, up to the Natural History Hall.
Take a left to enter the world of gems and minerals. The giant purple geode or holey concretion might capture your attention at first, but don’t dismiss the small specimens just yet. Did you know we have a piece of Mars on display?
Tumblr media
If you’ve ever wondered what the oldest fossil in the RAM collection is, seek out the stromatolites in the Ancient Alberta section. They’re approximately 1.4 billion years old!
Tumblr media
While the massive Ice Age mastodon and mammoths are sure to catch your eye, you may be fascinated to discover the story of the Saiga Antelope. She may look like a Star Wars character or some not-so-distant cousin of ALF, but she’s definitely from this planet. Unlike most Ice Age creatures, the saiga antelope didn’t go extinct. In fact, you can still see them today in Russia and Central Asia.
Tumblr media
Press on to the Wild Alberta gallery, and see if you can find the living hognose snake in one of the dioramas. Here’s a hint – it may be just under your nose… or your feet!
The Avid Anthropologist
From the earliest people to Alberta today, you won’t find your typical textbook history in the Human History Hall. Once you enter through the gallery doors, head clockwise to catch these exhibits.
For Cree communities, winter is the time that you share stories – and certain stories can only be shared in winter! Visit the interactive display of Wîsahkêcâhk, under the second panoramic landscape from the left, to hear storyteller Billy Joe Laboucan recounting one of the Cree trickster’s humorous adventures. This story can only be heard in the museum after the first snowfall. Once the snow melts, the story is gone until next year when the snow flies again!
Tumblr media
Head around the corner, and step back in time through the temporary exhibition, I Am From Here, where you can visit a long-gone diner, welcome home a railroad porter, and meet the descendants of early Black settlers in Alberta.
Tumblr media
Many First Nations and Métis women gathered together in the winter, sat by the firelight making beadwork, embroideries, quillwork or moose-hair tuftings, while sharing tea and catching up on gossip. Some mothers would coax their children into bead-sorting duties – separating them out into small parcels by colour and size. Seek out the Sewing for a Living exhibit to see examples of Indigenous women’s incredible talents with beads, quill, needles and thread.
Tumblr media
You saw the biplane hanging in the lobby, now see the flight suit of the man that flew it. Wilfrid Reid (Wop) May, First World War flying ace served as a fighter pilot in the First World War. Head to the display case below the yellow airplane to check out how many layers he would wear while flying!
Be sure to take your time in the circular What Makes Us Strong gallery. This space brings together displays from each of the five largest Indigenous nations in Alberta: Nehiyawak (Cree), Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Dene, Nakoda/Nakota and Métis. Stay to watch the 360-degree video – like the vibrant communities it portrays, there is neither beginning nor end.
Tumblr media
The Curious Kiddo
If your little one is a seasoned RAM visitor, they may want to head straight to the Children’s Gallery, but don’t miss out on the great interactive exhibits in the history halls as well!
In the Human History Hall, young visitors can learn about how early peoples hunted the extremely speedy pronghorn antelope; travel from Pigeon Lake to Fort Edmonton with a team of “little dogs;” and giddy-up to the Calgary Stampede atop Champion, the mechanical horse.
Tumblr media
Upstairs in Natural History, kids can walk on the wild side. Feed a baby pelican, don your feathers for a ruffed grouse dance-off, and practice your flirting skills with the humming birds.
Tumblr media
Then, of course, head to the Children’s Gallery, where kids can make a volcano, control the wind, or put on a show! If this doesn’t tire them out, nothing will!
Tumblr media
The Lover of All Things Bugs
This one is for all you brave visitors who aren’t afraid of a few extra legs.
If you want to start big, head to the right once inside the gallery and seek out the goliath bird eater tarantula. This species, found in South Africa, is the heaviest spider in the world. Can’t see her? Check inside the hollow log.
Tumblr media
Prefer something a little smaller? See if you can spot the stalk-eyed fly. The males of this tropical insect use their eyestalks to stare down competitors – the biggest span usually wins!
Tumblr media
Some people may think the giant African millipede is creepy, but not you! You recognize the important job these many-legged invertebrates play in breaking down plant material and rotting fruit. Thanks, millipedes!
What is the coolest creature in the Bug Gallery, you ask? The peacock mantis shrimp, named Lyle, is certainly a contender! Brilliant colours and an incredibly powerful punch make this crustacean a must-see.
Tumblr media
The Instagrammer
Even if you’re just here to “do it for the ‘gram,” we won’t judge. If you’re looking for the Instagrammable spots of RAM, look no further.
Before you enter the building, be sure to walk past the Ernestine Tahedl murals on the south side of the museum. These murals previously adorned the former Canada Post building that used to occupy this site. A little #yegdt history, the vibrant pops of red, and that natural light make for a great picture!
Tumblr media
Of course, when you first walk in, you’ll want to snap a photo with our two Mammoths in the lobby – you can’t get a more iconic “I visited RAM” snap.
Tumblr media
Head up to the Ice Age creatures in the Natural History Hall for some dramatic snaps of megafauna. Yeah, the sloth really was that big. Be sure to include yourself in the photo for scale!
Tumblr media
Back downstairs, you’ll need to get a shot of Molly the pickup truck in the back corner of the Human History Hall – because you can’t get much more “Alberta” than a pickup truck.
Tumblr media
And of course, don’t forget to hashtag your snaps with  #RoyalAlbertaMuseum, or tag us so we can see them!
@royal_alberta_museum
@RoyalAlberta
Royal Alberta Museum
Bonus Stops!
Phew! You’ve covered a lot of ground in this visit. It’s probably time to treat yourself, right?
First, refuel and re-caffeinate at the Café. Have you tried the bison burger? Or maybe you’re more of a donut person – we’ve got you covered there, too.
Finally, exit through the Museum Shop! With hundreds of unique items from local vendors, including jewellery, home accents, art, food, plus toys your kids will be begging for, and RAM swag to show your museum love, you’re sure to find something you’ll love.
Tumblr media
These are just a few ideas. We want to hear from you! What are your go-to stops when you visit RAM?

Why is Rogue Planet so funny yet so heartbreaking? Nothing but absolute nonsense goes down in that book, and yet ‘[qui-gon] said to tell you hello. He said you’re so hard to talk to’ 🥺🥺🥺
RIGHT??? IT GOES SO HARD.
The Crustacean Man who eats his little crustacean servants. Tarkin and Sienar teaming up to just... take over a planet on a whim. Anakin getting mobbed by fuzzy tribbles. Sentient ships. Sentient planets. Yuuzhan Vong cameo. I still have literally no idea who Vergere is or what happened to her. Jedi Master Thracia Cho Leem (who apparently just openly has like 20 children and thats fine????) breaking into the council chambers and scolding Mace Windu.
There’s more nonsense than you can shake a stick at, and then when you least expect it the book just goes for the jugular.
Honestly, I’m genuinely not sure if I’ve ever seen a better feat of Obi-Wan and Anakin characterization in all my years reading Star Wars. It’s completely wacky, the plot is pointless and they pretty much fail at their mission, but to be frank? This book owns my soul. Like???
“He said to tell you hello. He said you’re so hard to talk to.” THIS IS A GUT PUNCH THAT CANNOT EVER BE TOPPED. LITERALLY UN-TOPPABLE.
When Anakin is like “if there’s some kind of race here can we enter??!?” and Obi-Wan is like uh, what do you mean we and Anakin tells him, “Sure, you’d be great! You learn fast, but you just gotta be more confident.” I cry.
“The burden of that job lay on Obi-Wan, whom Anakin loved and respected, and for that reason, needed to test all the more.” That’s it. That’s their relationship.
FORCE SENSITIVE SHMI SKYWALKER CONFIRMED
“You were dreaming.” “We were traveling around the galaxy, seeing wonderful things. It was so great to just be free! You were there with us. I think you were having fun too.”
Obi-Wan’s childhood dreams of becoming a pilot
“Obi-Wan did not fear dying, but he resented what this kind of death implied...” Death? Fine. Living 1 single hour without SWAG?!?!? Never.
Anakin melting a man’s innards with his mind.
“The Force disappointed you, did it not, Obi-Wan?” I can’t accurately represent this passage here but trust me when I say... oof...... BIG oof.
12-year-old Anakin being the king of every illegal race in the lower levels of Coruscant
“You do not trust yourself yet, Jedi. You do not trust your unconscious connection to the Force.” “No, Master, I do not. That is my strength.”
THERE’S SO MUCH CHARACTERIZATION IN EVERY TINY LINE. It’s this perfect storm of absurd clownery, and moments that are so poignant and penetratingly accurate that you’re just blindsided. IT KILLS ME. Every single thing they say is like, oh, of course Anakin would say that. Of course that’s how Obi-Wan thinks. I don’t even need plot when I have these all-important relationship moments to give me life and make my soul sing.
Rogue Planet is NUTS and if you haven’t read it you’re missing out.

tumblr
This summer I saw my favorite artist perform live on an island off of Manhattan that used to serve as a jail/mental health institution.
When Frank Ocean came out with his screen grabbed text file posted as a “photo” on Tumblr in 2012, I knew the platform was something special - the one niche he could safely post something so revealing and vulnerable and still not open himself to the direct hate-filled or homophobic comments of any other forum. I had signed up for Tumblr the year prior. I joined with the fantasy of becoming a famous food blogger (and later as a nail artist) so I could quit my publicity job and score all of the PR perks that I so readily dished out to any 'mommy' with a touch of digital pretense.
Personal space on the vast internet was never my craving. I resisted being too present, and enjoyed the ability to control how much I “put myself out there” on facebook, twitter, and later Instagram. With my original two tumblrs, like Frank, I could focus on sharing and following the things I cared the most about: in early cases, it was fan art of Bill Murray, gifs of Daft Punk, and mostly photos of food I had eaten from the everyday life of a new New Yorker discovering the cult nature of the restaurant scene (a similar practice to my behavior as a teen taking shitty photos at punk shows in St Pete, Florida to pin on my bedroom wall). Tumblr became my collection of “curated cool," and nobody cared how hard I was trying or what I put up there, except for me, and it became my favorite place on the internet. Eventually, I realized all of the writers I was admiring on The Awl were including their Tumblrs in their bios, and I was there to follow them. I saw Rebecca Black become a meme before her one-hit would become a wedding band wonder. If sitting at the open kitchen counter at an edison bulb-lit restaurant was the closest you could get to a food industry version of “backstage”, then a Tumblr dashboard filled with all of the blogging generation of the “fake news media” was the analogy. It’s human nature to want to be seen and understood. Selfies perform better than friendies on Instagram - and GPOY’s on Tumblr… well I challenge anybody on music.ly to define the acronym without that peeking at the Childish Gambino Genius page first.
And that’s the tip of the iceberg for where I stand with Tumblr now. After three years of hanging out in the same field, they invited me to meet them at the dugout. After four months of interviewing and pitching challenges and pretending like I was at a digital optimization workshop, I was offered a job. After five years, or nearly, I’m ready for another one. I had the BEST time and the BEST TEAM working at Tumblr. Sentiment is incalculable, and being the Comms professionals that we are, we can swear to the moon that the effect of press results on a brand is unquantifiable when one piece can qualitatively alter the nature of the public’s perception versus the reality of a goal. And I had the the immeasurable luxury to be surrounded by the smartest, most creative, intensely productive, and to borrow a food world phrase - hardiest colleagues in the history of the internet.
My first day at Tumblr also belonged to six others - together we endured a questionable onboarding interaction and then were sent with laptops and branded hoodies to our respective seats at our superdesks on various floors. There were dogs everywhere. I was told that I’d be introduced to the company on Friday and to submit two truths and a lie to help them get to know me. Here they are:
I have photo credits in the New York Times and New York Magazine
I appeared as a backup dancer in a rap video in high school
I watercolor paintings of crustaceans as a hobby
Leave your guess in the comments (oh wait, it’s Tumblr, you can’t).
Friday lunches were my lifeblood for a couple of months. Every week for at least seven thereafter unloaded a new set of amazing humans to be introduced in some absurd way by Sean from recruiting. I remember @sexpigeon vs Homer’s owner in game of pictionary, Johnny and Jake quickly competing for my heart as #1 engineer dudes, and of course, the instant classic game of Mark Coatney/ Marc Cote/ Marked Coat. Tumblr ramped up fast thanks to Lee, a fundraising series and at the tireless behest of my personal champion, Lindsey Dole.
Meanwhile, more magic was brewing in the cauldron. I heard @amandalynferri talking about some game she invented called Pretty Little Lasagna box, or I heard Maddie recalling the time she had her palm read in 14th street psychic's booth seeking refuge from a snowstorm, or @lexkap who sat on the other side of the building with a dog on her lap DM’d me on hip chat to show me her own nail art blog. Then a few of us won a chance to see a sneak preview of a new arthouse film by Harmony Korine and featuring an ensemble cast of former Disney talent that had been filmed in my hometown with a y2k airbrushed aesthetic - there was something innately emotional tied to each of us with this first viewing of Spring Breakers. When we left the midtown theater alongside the ATL Twins, I realized that this company had curated a community to match the intended behavior of its user base. We all connected on a level beyond any workplace I had experienced before.
And there was the professional side to the job - the work wins came quick because I was so lucky to sit under leaders who wanted the team to succeed. Rick Webb and Katherine encouraged me to dig in, and get deep with these shiny new toys called “evangelists” - Valentine, Nate, Liba, Annie, Max, Rachel, Jen, and briefly DCH. An enviable group of brilliant minds and creative energy who have all gone on to accomplish even more for their respective industries than a marketing budget at a start up could have enabled - and I had the pleasure to help share their Tumblr stories with the world - from a puppy bowl to annual southby's to groundbreaking art auctions to thirteen fucking fashion weeks to 35+ art and music shows (brrr)?
And then Tumblr got acquired and the Jenna Wortham turned the New York Times blue, and I got to do something I’m sure will never happen again in my entire career: I threw a party where the goody bag included a free tattoo, and multiple brave souls got them (Tyler, @bryanasortino, Megan & Johnny, among others).
And then Karen (aka #takingitallin aka @beautifulliving) joined, and me and Katherine gained a new teammate at the same time that I gained a new soul sister (and because of her self-described passion for advertising I never had to write an announcement about a new ad product ever again.) I’ve never been more challenged to succeed as I have over the three years I sat next to Karen - a generous and driven woman with endless dreams of supporting others (literally, ask her about the gap in the undergarment sector), who will always find a spot to squeeze me into a photobooth. Even at her wedding.
And lucky us, because then we invited @lilders into the #teamcomms fold and wow, wow, wow was life good. It was my honor working with Lily as she grew from FIT intern into somebody we should all aspire to work for someday.
Which leads to me to the poker faced improv master of all - Katherine. Allora @alittlespace! I am so lucky she believed that this girl who came into talk about a hypothetical strategy to get Eleven Madison Park on Tumblr and then pitched her a fantasy football launch party hosted by Nick Kroll and Mark Duplass could fit in and have the privilege to join the Tumblr Communications team. KB - I’ve already written you the dopiest thank you letter and shared my orchid growing miracle secrets - but it can’t be said enough - I am so grateful to have worked for you for all of these years. You are the best boss, and we will always be the #bestteam.
Because of Tumblr (and @david), I had the pleasure of working with so many additional incomparable people on projects outside of my designated Marketing Comms position, wearing more hats than we even produced for branded activation swag:
Designing and contenting for months with the relaunch of the precious Staff blog with David, Peter, Damien, Tag, Toph, among others
Setting the inaugural year in review with Danielle, Amanda, Christine loose (and then doing it again and again and again, with the wonderful team at DKC - especially that time we added a serving Kale to America’s breakfast.
Marathoning dozens of events with amazing producers like Julia, Suzanne and Magic - and encountering the native talent that thrives on Tumblr like Humans of New York, Chloe Wise, Sam Cannon, Johnny McLaughlin, Jillian Mercado, to a point where I can honestly say “I knew them when.”
Participating in the first ever Sales Offsite aka the greatest bar mitzvah ever thrown by Lee Brown, Dan Walsh and Sarah Won and the rest of the coolest sales team ever assembled (here’s to you @katemaxx, @jeffdtaylor, Meredith, Ari, Kira, and so many more)
Reaching back into my fashion bag of tricks and launching three different clothing lines.
Creating partnerships to show off super surprises at nerd parties at Comic Con and another breaking the internet for Art Basel
Interviewing the CEO of Shake Shack for the one-time-only live episode of “5 with a side of fries" in front of the whole company.
Urgently dealing with Legal, Ads, Trust and Safety on one of the definitive news story of a generation after nine months of back channeling and reporting.
DOING IT FOR THE CULTURE: Racing with the content and analytics teams for stats on the contentious day of #thedress, and then bling rings, witches, boneghazi, superwholockians, wholesome memes, studyblr, emojis, and of course, the toe thing! Thus redefining what it means to “go viral.”
Cleaned a ball pit for the dude from the 1975 to make a splash into them and trolled a legacy music publication
And wow - it took me this long to mention Post It Forward…I am so proud of everyone who helped make Tumblr the most empathetic community on the internet: Nicole Blumenfeld, Jeff D’Onofrio, @skiphursh “Dolphin", @dougrichard, Andy Sebela, Jess Frank, Sarah Won @swon, @pauwow, the brilliant and diligent Michelle Johnson. From building the blog, commissioning the art, recruiting and onboarding the partners, writing the endless number of give/gets, planning the sponsored posts and social content, running the day to day on the blog (and bequeathing that role to Lily), then doing it again with the Mental Health Quilt and IRL with the Post It Forward Summit - I’ve found my new track as a special projects person who can take on any issue, even suicidal teens. If this is my legacy, I’ve planted seeds in the garden I might never see. And special thanks to Victoria, who allowed me to speak at Obama’s White House about why kids need a place on the internet that can help heal - so long as they can find each other.
As it turns out, adults need that, too. From tailing Frank Ocean’s Ferrari to the most woke, mentally aware community and on to, thank god, a bonafide company to match - I will forever cherish my time at Tumblr and I’ll forever been asking #whenislunch. But from every tomorrow on, it will be somewhere else. And you can find me on the internet!
Here’s my LinkedIn, I’m looking.
