Quick, rather unhelpful update just so you know I haven't forgotten: chapter 18 is still in the editing process, so probably another week or so, depending on schedules. And I don't know if I mentioned, but Ch. 19 is already a few thousand words in, so that's a plus for the future I suppose!

Been poking at about 5 different spiderverse ideas alongside Ch.19 too so you'll probably start seeing those pop up soon. On the bright side, at least the writing muse is back.

The sun was setting over Spirale city but a city never sleeps and this one was no different, and for the two on this rooftop night was no end either. 

Crow sat across Corvo’s lap with both of her legs to one side, her head resting against his chest as her silver hair tumbled down her back. It had really grown now; she had had thought that before leaving the house. The last time she’d cut it was over a year ago, that fiasco with the costumes and heart guns. 

“You were right; it is beautiful up here. It’s so easy to live here and not appreciate it. Thank you.”

The thanks was for the suggestion to come here, and much more unsaid.

“I’d like to keep coming up here.”

There’s this great Corvo/Daud fic over on AO3 that has Corvo getting turned into a literal crow and he hangs out with Daud and Co. in the flooded district for a while. It makes my bird-loving heart just want to draw all the crows all the time.

Muffet knows of Ogata, she’s seen him around. But she’s yet to really interact with him herself, only mingling in the same areas as him (read: around Crow and Corvo) and being told about him.

It was probably best for her to form her own opinion about him now that she saw the opportunity, all things considered. And what better to make a not-first-impression first impression than to offer a free cupcake?

Chocolate, frosted cupcake sitting neatly on one palm she came up from behind him and then off to his side, tapping him on the shoulder as she passed.

“Ogata, yes? For you~”

“I don’t believe we’ve spoken one on one before, have we?” She’d probably get conflicting answers depending on who she asked if that was good or bad.

Ok! So! Sorry for my writing update absence for the last few weeks and thanks for your patience. I hit one of those periods where nearly all my writing seemed horrible and made me want to delete it, so at that point it's best to leave it alone.

But! Now I've edited chapter 18 as best I can, and sent it off to the lovely beta reader for some assistance. So fingers crossed, update either this week or the next, as their schedule allows and edits require.

Also, probably gonna end up at 21 or 22 chapters total with how long these go, but that's the theme of the story at this point. No need to worry :P

I’ve had a patreon for a little over a year, but I’ve never used it to gatekeep content since I hate when people do that.
