I forget if I posted these already. 1/8/24 Shape/length: short square (I may have overshaped them into more of a squoval) They're not sized for my fingers, so they're p much just for show. materials used: Red syrup gel, black gel, black eyeshadow, red mylar flake, top (gloss and matte), and base coat.
Wasn't inspired by much. Just wanted to play around with some mats I got for Christmas and maybe make a set for my left hand. Red and black are always a winning combo so that's what I went with. Also wanted to try out the eyeshadow ombre technique. The end result was a bit patchy, but I mostly blame that on the sponge I used.
The dripping blood is syrup gel and embo powder. I was worried that it would look a lil too bright since the powder was white, but it melted right into the gel like tapioca starch. I think the end result is pretty realistic.

Shape/length: short almond
Materials used: black syrup gel polish. Pink syrup polish. Rhinestones. Resin roses. A single glass heart charm.
The first set of press-ons I ever made. I didn't have a plan for the design beyond working with my limited materials, which explains why they look rough. I don't think they're very cute (especially the wonky ass cuticle stones around the pinky) but they're my first set and I'm kinda proud of them.
I will say though. I thought short almond would be something of a universally flattering shape. Y'know, a nice lil edgy number while still maintaining that feminine, cute form. God no. Short, rounder shapes just make my nails look wide as hell.
I also thought I'd be one of those girlies who'd love those big chunky nail charms. While I love the aesthetic, my fidgety nature just can't handle something that big and rough stuck to my nail 24/7. I could only manage to wear this set for a few hours before the roses drove me fucking batty. The rhinestones and hearts I can deal with. But those flowers... God save me I was about to go insane. Shame, cuz they're so pretty.
