When Dwayne asked you to go into the bedroom you shared and open the present on the bed you hadn't been expecting for their to be a beautifully elegant dress, it was a dark blue, covered in lace and fell to just above your knees. You tried it on and felt like a princess, the shoes that her he's gotten to go with the dress completed the look. Deciding to leave your hair down in your natural curls you descend the stairs and see him beaming at you, the happiest expression you'd seen from him in weeks. He held out his arm for you as the two of you made your way out to his car, he helps you in before running around the other side of the car and getting in the driver's side.

About half an hour later your stopping in front of a very flash looking restaurant and Pride is helping you out of the car before the valet takes the car and parks it. You walk into the restaurant and see that it is crowsee, there are no tables left. He gives you a small smile before leaving you for a couple of minutes while he talks to the waiter. When he comes back he takes your hand and leads you over towards the stair case and out onto the rooftop of the building. Your amazed at the view, lights reflecting off of the water and then you realise the set up on the roof, rose and flower petals are littering the floor and there are candles all over the table and on different surfaces around the area.

The two of you enjoy a beautiful meal and are about to leave when Dwayne drops down into one knee and takes your hand, he's giving you a nervous smile before he takes a deep breath and asks

"Y/N Y/L/N, when ya walked into my life five years ago ya were the light ta the darkness that seemed ta be consuming me. Ya healed me when Ah was down and broken and have loved me even when Ah didn't deserve your love. Ah want ta promise ya the world and give ya everything ya ever wanted. So will ya do me the honour of becoming my wife?" He asks and you nod before your throwing your arms around his neck and plaster kisses on his mouth. When you pull back you hear a crowd of people coming out from behind different items such as a half wall separating different areas of the roof. Your immediately pulled into a hug by Sonja who is excitedly squealing about how great it is for the two of you to finally be engaged. You smile and nod, you make your way over to Tammy and Laurel, both of whom congratulate you before Laurel pulls you aside

"I know you probably want to be with dad right now but can I talk to you?" She asks and you nod

"Sure" you walk away from the group with Laurel. When you get far enough away she stops and smiles at you

"I know I wasn't exactly welcoming or hospitable when we first meet and that I didn't really make an attempt to get to know you until you saved dad's life and I'm sorry about that but I wanted you to know I do care fir you very much. It was just hard to see my dad falling in love with someone who wasn't my mum. And I know you helped repair his heart and helped him to become the man he is today but I just want to say that for me as well, you've become  someone I have come to love and care about. Your one of my closest friends and have come to be someone I can depend on, if I ever get stuck your one of the first people I can talk to. Just thank you for coming into mine and dads lives Y/N" she says and you feel the tears rushing down your cheeksas you listen to Laurel speak, you pull her in for a hug before you see Chris come out from behind one of the bushes on the roof top garden, you drag Laurel with you over towards your fiance and get there just in time to see the photo of you and Laurel that he took, with Pride standing behind you in the background, a loving expression on his face as he watches the two of you and then he shows you another photo, one that was taken during Dwaynes' proposal and you can't help but throw your arms around Chris and place a kiss on his cheek before saying

"Thank you Chris" you say and he smiles before saying

"Anything for the two of ya Y/N".
