Who do you use whatsapp for fic research?!

I basically want to write a scene where there's a phone call, and ideally it will be a phone call because I don't want Person A to know that the caller is actually Person B, but it's an international call so I'm not sure it makes sense for them to be using an actual phone call instead of a messaging app. And someone told me that Whatsapp might work for preserving the anonymity created by phone numbers while also avoiding international phone call fees.

(I actually think it doesn't make as much sense as it needs to, or at least not as much sense as just ignoring how much the call would cost for the sake of the story, but for a sec I thought it might work. But again, I don't know how Whatsapp works, so I wouldn't be able to write it well.)

Even with her clumsy pronunciation of the word government, Adrien had been excited to play the game. And then he had thought about his mother’s disappointed face and let Chloé eat all the candy on her own. 

“Maman, can I have cool balloons for my next birthday too?” Adrien had asked her. It had been a sunny day and he had picked out daisies from the garden to put them into his mother’s braid. “Oh, Adrien,” she had sighed, after he had explained what exactly he meant. “Aging isn't something to look forward to. We all just celebrate to pretend we’re not miserable. You don't want balloons that let everyone know that you're one step closer to damnation.”

Adrien hadn't understood some of the words but he had never asked for balloons again. 

(Maybe he hadn't forgotten his mother's age. Maybe he had never known it to begin with.) 

Adrien placed the towel on top of the sink and turned around. He needed a second shower. 

Since @rosie-b showed us more than a line I thought I would do the same :D This was originally supposed to be for @coffeebanana because she sent me a prompt (hurt/comfort after a nightmare) months ago and I fully forgot about it💀 I don't even remember if I was gonna make it lovesquare, Adrino or platonic Chlodrien. But if you're reading this, feel free to tell me your preference xD Someday I'll finish it lmao

How... how long is Alix going away for?

It’s not explicitly stated, but I have a hunch that Alix won’t be able to come back home until she’s an adult.

All those postcards that Alim Kubdel has are from adult!Alix, which makes me suspect that Alix ain’t returning for a good decade or so.

And Alim even takes a good loooooong look at Alix because he doesn’t want to forget what she looked like as a child...

Alix is going on a very long vacation with herself, isn’t she?

Imagine an established relationship, pre reveal Ladrien scenario that goes something like this: obviously, their relationship has to be a secret. Individually, Adrien and Ladybug attract paparazzi and the press like flies to honey. If news broke out that they were an official couple, they would never know any peace!

It’s not a problem when Ladybug visits him in the privacy of his room, but attempting to go out together poses a major challenge. At first, she tried dressing him up in different clothes than usual, and she even gave him massive sunglasses and a hat. It worked for a little while, but then someone took a picture of Ladybug carrying a random civilian across a rooftop when there wasn’t an akuma around, and that picture worked up the public into a frenzy of speculation. Gossip of that incident wouldn’t stop spreading for months. Clearly, this method of disguising Adrien wouldn’t cut it.

Then one day, for no reason in particular, Marinette recalled the time that Alya pointed out that Adrien looks sort of like Chat Noir... and she had a eureka moment. Ladybug hanging out with a random civilian looks weird, but Ladybug spending time with Chat Noir? Nobody would bat an eye!

And that train of thought led to Ladybug showing up at Adrien’s window a few months later with a custom made Chat Noir cosplay for him to wear.

Welp.

Imagine if Ladybug was in the habit of storing random crap in her yoyo. When Gabriel got his hands on it, he would reach in and pull out:

-2 dozen passionfruit macaroons

-A crumpled up sheet of paper containing her speech to “Buttercup”

-A whole load of snacks for all the kwamis

-All those tips she wrote for Alya back when Scarabella was a thing, printed out in a tiny font

-A smartphone (it’s not hers)

-The roses that Chat Noir gives her

-Portable sewing kit

-Homework from 2 years ago

-Pencil with teeth marks in it

-A vial of potion that was nearly about to explode and she didn’t know what to do with it so she shoved it into a magical pocket dimension never to be seen again (oops)

Part of what makes Anya such a good character is that despite being a telepath and frequently having access to all the information she would need to know - in the interview she was able to read Loid's mind for what she should answer, in tests she can cheat off of other children, when Loid met her in the interview she knew exactly what he wanted - she isn't overpowered. Other flaws, like bad acting, lack of emotional regulation, and inattentiveness prevent her from using her telepathy to its full advantage. And these traits are all very typical of a 5 year old child, which makes it very clever, almost! She's theoretically the most powerful character in the show, she just hasn't honed any skills on account of being 5, and that makes her character absolutely brilliant.

I think if the ML universe were real and someone made a comic where it's like "Ladybug, the top surgery was a success" and Ladybug responds "where's Chat Noir?" and the doctor said "who do you think took your boobs?" and they walked to him and he just had extra large bazonkatonks.
