well y'all we finally made it. thank you so much for participating in the tournament so far, it's really been a lot of fun to run this, and i feel like it's definitely brought us a little closer than we were at the beginning. i think it's also reinvigorated the community, and i know that i'm definitely excited to be a bit more active now than i have been in the past. thank you to all the participants for being good sports about the contest (even if we did have to change the botting rule), and i'll definitely continue making stuff like this in the future if y'all enjoyed it

hi everyone. so initially i said voter fraud was legal, but i think the tournament has become more of a "who has time to bot" war rather than a genuine bracket competition. i am debating whether to disallow botting from the quarterfinal on in order to potentially have a more fair tournament, however i also realize that may be disingenuous to the past competitors who lost to botting. so i'm leaving it up to y'all whether you want it to continue

couple stipulations:

1) i will give more weight to the community members participating. for example, if the poll result is yes but a strong majority of blogs who participated in the tournament say no, then i will disallow botting going forward, and vice versa

2) i will review the poll tonight before i post the quarterfinal to see what the results are. if the results are within a 10% margin (55-45) i will let the poll run a full 24 hours, if not (56-44 or greater) then i will take that as the result and post the quarterfinal

3) if no botting is decided, i'll post a couple rule options for polls going forward and let there be a community consensus for what we should do

4) if this poll gets botted i'll just delete this and post another one, which will hold up the tournament. so it's in your best interest to not bot the poll

hi everyone, it's the moment you've all been waiting for. the teams have been drafted, the roster has been built, and the campaigns have already started. as i mentioned earlier, we did not have a full 64 person bracket, so some people have byes the first round, but fear not because there are many races yet to be run. here's the bracket for the start of the tournament:

ROUND TWO RECAP

this round had some absolutely incredibly matchups and nailbiters that went down to a next-day tiebreaker. the closest poll goes to the initial miwb vs. winnerkiller matchup, with an even 50/50 split that had to be broken by a tiebreaker this morning.

ironically, that tiebreaker hold the unofficial record for this round's biggest sweep with @winnerkiller accruing 82% of the vote, but in regulation justintyleralfonso vs. critcrimes came out on top, with @justintyleralfonso securing an 80% majority to move onto the next round

last night's topic of conversation was mainly focused on roxytonic vs. dykedavidson, in which what will likely be a tournament record of 768 votes were cast to declare @roxytonic the winner with a 53% majority. remember folks, voter fraud is still legal

ROUND ONE RECAP

round one already saw some fierce competition in the closest poll, enbefundy vs. boolifeindeath, at an even 50/50. @enbefundy took the lead in the 11th hour with a single vote making the difference between success and defeat

the poll with the most votes was dykedavidson vs. hellosapolo, with almost 200 votes. however the winner by the largest margin was @winnerkiller in winnerkiller vs. kiwicam, who absolutely destroyed their competition with an 87% majority

as with any fun critblr event, this round was marred by controversy when it was revealed that yours truly didnt do their research and accidentally nominated some hardcore dream sympathizers for the tournament roster. luckily, none advanced to the second round
