You get on my nerves ~ Romance Club ( Isman / Eva )

Title: You get on my nerves.

Pairings: Isman x Eva ( Platonic)

Summary: Evthys gets on Isman's nerves, but he wouldn't have it any other way.

Warnings: Mention of abuse? Mention of abandonment? Mention of foster care? Mention of Adoption?.

Evthys knew today would be the day to make Isman's blood boil. Why? Because she was a brat that was why. She always found a way to get under his skin, and it got worse since she was adopted by his family.

She smiled once she woke up from her slumber and looked outside at the beautiful sight before her.

She sat up and stretched, got out of bed, and stretched once more. Allowing the bones to pop into her body.

Shaking off her nerves, she went to shower and pick out an outfit for the day.

She decided to go with something plain today.

So she put on a brown plain dress, with some comfortable flat shoes.

She pinned her hair up in a ponytail and left her room.

Evthys didn't find her friend until later that evening, so for the movement, she enjoyed the sound of the birds in the morning. And the beautiful light outside.

She wanted to savor this moment, cause who knows when she'll get another chance like this.

She smiled and hummed. Today was the day, she would get on Isman's last nerve.

And she had the perfect plan.

When later Came Evthys found Isman. He was just walking around after visiting friends. She beamed when he got close to her, Isman rolled his eyes because he knew some things were about to happen.

“ Hello, Eme. How are you today?” he asked. Evthys smiled and opened her arms for her friend, he walked close and welcomed the hug.

“ I'm doing Isman. Just enjoying the weather. And besides, would you like to take a walk with me?”.

Isman pulled back from the hug and looked at her closely. “ Why? Is there something wrong?” he questioned, narrowing his eyes.

Evthys laughs, she even cocked her head back, her friend just stared at her weirdly.

“ I asked if you and I could go for a walk. And you ask me if there is something wrong. Yes, there is something wrong?”.

Isman suddenly looked alarmed, he looked around ready to defend himself and herself as well.

“ Where?”.

Evthys suddenly snapped. “ Isman there is nothing there! I was being sarcastic. Now come on, let's walk”.

Isman nodded and followed after his friend. Something was telling him to go back.

He should have listened.

Evthys and Isman gawked at the beautiful sight. They reached some weird forest, and right now at the moment, they were seeing a beautiful waterfall.

Evthys looked at her friend. “ You want to dive in?”. Isman's head snapped towards his friend's direction so fast he should have caught a whiplash. “ No, Eva. We need to leave. If something happens we'll get in trouble. We already are not supposed to be here.”

That didn't break Evthys attempt. She still was going to go. Rather her friend liked it or not.

She walked forward, making her friend grab her arm. “ Eva no! You'll get hurt”.

Evthys yanked her hand away. “ Let me go.” she reached the water and took off her shoes, she took a deep breath and braced herself.

And she threw her body over the waterfall.

Isman's soul left his body as he ran to look over the waterfall. He sighed.

He had no choice but to go along with everything.

Curse the invisible God for this.

He took off his shoes, and ran forward and threw his body over the water and held his breath as he nearly reached the bottom.

Finally he hit the water and shivered from the coldness.

Isman looked around for his friend and didn't find her at all.

“ Eva?” he called out looking around trying to search for his friend.

Silence.

Finally Evthys head popped out from the waters. She smiled at her friend. “ See? I knew you could do it.”

She swam over to him and pulled him close to him, Isman glared at her.

“ Hey! It's not funny. you scared me ”.

Evthys laughs. “ I know”.

She then swam over to the rocks, stood up over them, and walked along them until she reached land.

“ you coming?”.

Isman sighed, and followed along after her.

One of these days, his friend would be the death of him....

Later that night as they were once again close to him, Isman and Evthys were sitting on some rocks engaged in a serious conversation.

Just then Evthys had an idea, she suddenly stood up and began running.

Isman who was having an conversation with her, looked at the direction she ran and was confused.

Then he angrily stood up.

She had been doing this all day and he was sick and tired of it.

“ Eva get back here!” he shouted.

Evthys didn't slow down and ran faster, pumping her legs to go as fast as she could go

Isman bit down on his lip and chased after his friend.

It wasn't long before he caught her and dragged her back to the temple and sat her down near a rock.

He waited for a few minutes to try to catch his breath. He rubbed his forehead and finally, he looked up at his friend and glared at her.

“ Eva?. What. Are. You. doing?”.

Evthys gulped.

She knew she done it.

Isman hardly ever got angry, but when he did. It was scary and it immediately made her cower in front of him.

“ I don't know having fun” she answered.

Isman clenched his fist and once again rubbed his forehead. A headache began to form in his Brain.

“ Don't lie to me Evthys” Isman replied. “ Tell me the truth”.

Evthys eyes widened.

Her friend was angry. Isman had never ever used her full name before, now she knows she crossed the line.

Tears form in her eyes and she lets them drop down her face. “ I'm sorry. I just wanted to see you angry. I'm sorry”.

Isman sat down near her. He reached over and grabbed her hand.“ hey, hon. Tell me what's wrong. I'm here. You can talk to me.”

He hated himself for making her cry, Eva was never the emotional type.

He was mostly him that showed emotion, and right now he just wanted to slap himself in the face.

Evthys sobbed and leaned over to place her head on his shoulders.

“ I have trust issues. I miss my dad, and I miss home. Even though your family took me in, I'll never belong here. I will never belong here”.

Those words shattered Isman's soul and heart. He never expected his friend to say something like that and he never wanted to hear her say those words again.

“ Hey, come here”.

He reached forward and pulled her closer, he ran his hand through her hair, and whispered soothing words to her.

“ Hush, Eme. You got this. You are not a failure or worthless. You do belong here. There is nothing in this world where me and my family wouldn't do for you.”

“ you hear me?” Isman cooed, still stroking Evthys hair.

Evthys nodded and grab a hold of Isman's shirt for support. She never felt vulnerable like this before.

This clearly meant she and Isman were soulmates in some ways.

Isman did something he had never done before, he reached down to kiss Evthys's cheeks and softly against her hair.

He then begin to speak.

“ I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier. I didn't mean to make you cry. But you do get on my nerves Eva. One of these days, you are going to get yourself hurt. Okay?” Isman stated.

“ Okay” Evthys replied, nuzzling his chest.

She felt loved and appreciated.

Isman grabbed her head and guided it under his chin, where he rocked her back and forth.

This moment would be with them forever.

It's a sad thing that Isman would never do something like this again.

I saw some people complaining about his character being too toxic a relationship to have. I see why.

He's my favorite slow burn that can kill me while the tension is so high we can cut it with a knife kind of love interest. I want it.

Is that healthy? Nope.

Do I want this in real life? No.

If KFS had been more successful after Stacy took the lead, Remy would have taken more credit for her "overseeing." Her comment about the story's less-than-enthusiastic reaction is nothing short of unprofessional and threw Stacy under the bus. I'm not saying Stacy is blameless, but wow, Remy continues to surprise me with her audacity.

One of the main criticisms of Season 2 is that the characters no longer feel like themselves. These aren't Stacy's characters, but Remy's. She should be guiding and helping Stacy understand and write them better since she's overseeing the story. It's incredibly difficult to imagine characters' reactions that are not your own.

Also, even if Remy had continued to write KFS, yes, the characters would read like themselves, but the story still wouldn't be good. Look at SCN, with all its plot holes and favoritism toward certain characters. I highly doubt we wouldn't still be complaining. My heart goes out to the Livius and Rame romancers—the strongest soldiers.

I hope Stacy one day gets to write her own story with her own characters to showcase what she's truly capable of.
