"Guess yeh' could call it that." A laugh, because he had never thought of it that way before, even if it was true. He had always been destined for a life in the mafia, considering his father wouldn't give him and his brother any other choice. Made man, perhaps, but it felt like it had been a role assigned to him since birth.

"Don't sound too excited." Eyes glimmered with amusement, hand resting on his hip as he looked at the much smaller demon. "Ain't able tah' take a full-time job o' nothin'. Already got one a' those, and mah' boss don't like tah' share." He pouted at this dramatically, pushing his bangs from his face as he smirked in the other's direction.

simple. things were never this simple for moxxie. even pulling the trigger of a loaded gun weighed heavy on his conscience ; picking apart every possible outcome and the consequences. there's a moment of hesitation before he reaches for the knife. in his mind, this small action of being able to just hold his father's knife felt like some sort of approval.

"it's heavy..." a comment made under his breath meant only for himself. the weight of it feels foreign in his hand compared to other knives he's held. there's a beat as he just stares down at it before awkwardly twisting his wrist.
