Emo-Gamer-Bf Eren Yeager x reader

My first time writing something like that eh, hope it's doesn't that bad... ( English is not my first language, there can be much of mistakes!)

• At first glance, it may seem that he is the bad boy, but in fact he is the most gentle boy in the world, just hug him someone already ಥ‿ಥ

• His hair is always disheveled, even though he wears an elastic band on his arm that you gave him, he rarely uses it, only in the rarest cases, but if you offer to braid his hair so that they do not interfere with him, he will immediately agree to it.

• He asked you to paint his nails. Now they are always covered with black varnish, but in some places this varnish is chewed off by him because of nerves or simply erased

• He has a couple of "emo" tattoos. Cobwebs on the elbow, barbed wire on the wrist, crosses and fire on the fingers.

• He likes all sorts of alt attributes, like an inverted cross on his neck or a skull ring. He also wears large T-shirts with some prints of his favorite music groups or provocative inscriptions.

• In fact, he loves sports, this guy has a pretty good physique (° ʖ °). He's on the college basketball team.

• He lives in a family with Carla and Mikasa. His mother doesn't particularly approve of his appearance, as does the appearance of Mikasa (who dresses like a goth). But as a loving mother, she accepted them like this.

• Eren is the partner who loves physical contact, he will hug you while playing, or lie on your lap, he doesn't care what kind of contact, he just wants to feel your warmth, knowing that you are next to him.

• He's a pretty popular guy in college, so you can't avoid glances from others , they're all jealous, but don't be afraid, Eren is always there to distract you from this.

• The same type of guy who will say that you don't look good in some clothes, and then tell you to wear this more often ...

• He has an older brother Zeke who really loves you and often brings you gifts (Eren is very jealous and afraid that he is trying to take you away from him), but Zeke just very happy that Eren has such a caring partner like you.

• The younger Yeager often cries in his sleep because of the nightmares that haunt him. He wakes up in a sweat and sees you, then hugs you and asks you never to leave him.

• Eren has a lot of game equipment. Nintendo on which he plays animal crossing (shhh, it's a secret, he's shy to say that he plays it!). PS5, a gaming computer. He's been through a lot of games, most of all he likes something adventure, but lately he's only been playing Overwatch or League of Legends with friends, he doesn't have time for anything else.

• He really loves you, and shows it by allowing you to play online games on his computer, it doesn't matter to him if you lower him so in the rating, he just enjoys how passionate you are about the games that he likes

• You can just say what you like and he will tell you which game to play. But he will also listen to you and even play the games you play, just so that you are on the same wavelength.

• The most terrible thing that will happen in your relationship is that Jean and Connie will call him to play Dota 2 in the middle of the night ... God, you will wake up from fright when he throws the mouse against the wall out of anger...(⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)

Tsuyu + Ocha finally can join the their fight this time. Ocha is making a rain of giant ice blocks from Shouto's broken ice wall. Creative!

I don't think it actually gives Misiah big damage, though. But apparently it's only to give others chances to charge their skills. Gran and Sieg and Zooey are attacking continuously and there are too many flashing things here. And my boys also had a joint attack (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Lobelia somewhere out there may be enjoying this concert of Misiah's endless painful cries, but I am not orz

Izuku realized Missiah's voice and he's going with his typical "why are you doing this?" Just typical Izuku's behavior ╮(╯∀╰)╭

She ignored him sob what about a forced therapy session between friends?

I understand her desire to fulfill her Salvation duty, but the curve of this thinking process is too fucking sharp it cuts me (ಠ ‿ ಠ)

Innermost Thoughts Date (unreleased) – Victor’s 5th birthday date. This date is so so so SO beautifully written, everything about this is honestly utter perfection; I haven’t ever cried reading a date as much as I cried reading and re-reading this one. The feelings you feel when you love someone, that you can love someone like THAT and what you can do for them – and how those feelings can actually transcend your phone screen. The symbolism of single white rose, the love letter, the pure and raw emotions.... this date just takes you on a ride. If I could read one date for the rest of my life, as of now, it will probably be this one~ ಥ‿ಥ

Mind Quest: Deep Spring Tide Night (unreleased) – Most of the times it’s hard to arrange the whole setting into one AU date. So, even if you aren’t an AU enthusiast, this MQ is hopefully bound to change your mind. I was saying the other day, I could actually write an MQ sized essay on why this is SO EPIC AND A MASTERPIECE. But the MQ itself is very self explanatory, so~ If I’m given the chance, I will definitely try my hardest to squeeze this one in the list of only materials I can read for the rest of my life HAHAHA.

And so, this date is so so soothing and healing, rediscovering how he’s always been walking right alongside you while being the first glimmer of dawn that lights up your darkness, at the very same time. 💓

Eternal Promise Date – Victor taking MC to his departed mother’s house and completely revealing the memories he holds so so dear, and of course, MC’s first visit to her future in-laws after they started dating officially HAHA~ 💝

Dazzling Date – The much anticipated first kiss, just how well planned the entire layout of their journey was, as well as just how much worth the wait it was! After this date was released in CN, “Victor finally kissed me” once became the 6th most searched topic on Weibo HAHAHA.

Mind Quest: Ablaze Night – The full circle of their journey together and continuing to move forward, together and how they are recognized as “Victor x MC” by everyone. It’s emotions of all sorts, I mean ALL sorts. And this date adds a rocket speed to their relationship going forward with every content that follows. 🚀

Mind Quest: Preference (unreleased) – I absolutely adore every content that features Victor’s family members HAHAHA. Such a kind, loving, warm and welcoming family – even without sprites, I’d bet they’re absolutely beautiful 2D humans. Unfortunately, due to the censorship we will be getting the edited version of the date in EN server. Sadly the spiciness has been toned down by a few degrees, but it’s still a very beautiful and enjoyable date with a sweet and significant confession –

whether it’s the 11 year old Bro Vic from the playground in their childhood, or the CEO Victor, the Teacher Victor, the Chef Victor or the Ordinary Citizen Victor – no matter which side of him at which age, he’s always been the one she likes the most.

And of course, he reciprocates with something equal as an answer. (◠‿・)

Owh yes, did I mention, the adorable blushing Victor who blushes even fiercely cause MC says he doesn’t know how cute he is when he blushes HAHAHA~ (*´ω｀*)

Countryside Date (unreleased) – There are many, many Victor dates where they act like a couple who’ve been together for over 40 years throughout the date HAHAHA. But this date in particular, I don’t know why, I treasure very much. Probably because it screams “HOME”; which is unquestionably a Victor x MC theme. We get peeks inside their every day life together, their view towards life and future and just how much they emphasize on the “simple happiness of being with the one you love”. And how, again, nothing in the world matters as long as they can hold each other’s hand. 🥺

A Dissertation of Poetry.

“Poetry is what happens when nothing else can.” Charles Bukowski’s words have never rung truer than when we address Tumblr User @xojo’s masterpiece. But sometimes, poetry brings with it just about everything else too. The poem I’ll be discussing today is a paragon of this paradox, for @xojo has managed to capture the soul of literary prose, in the endearing brevity of a rhyme - keeping things easily graspable, and yet, profoundly multifaceted. In this essay, I will

(haha! gotcha!)

At first glance, the poetess tells us of the young owner of a soft-toy - or plushie, if you will - describing him in chaste detail. She is clearly well-acquainted with the child, as she says she greets him in the fourth line, and proceeds to apprise us of his sleep routine at the end. On reading it the first time, I was enchanted by its subtle complexity. The next time only showed me more layers. It was at least the third time - the charmed time, even - when it began to fall into place. I cannot claim to be completely accurate in my deciphering, but I shall try to present my views in an understandable sequence and dialect, and summarize my take at the end.

Whose plushie pillow is that? I think I know.

Its owner is quite happy though.

Full of joy like a vivid rainbow,

I watch him laugh. I cry hello.

As most enigmas begin, the poetess starts with a rhetoric. She knows the answer to the question she’s asked - and we’re the ones who don't. This reversal of order is representative of the way the Universe works. However, as we progress, we’ll learn that it’s more about a particular relationship, than that which beings of the earth have with the beyond. More on that later. The poetess goes on to say that this ‘plushie’ makes its owner as happy as a rainbow - which has been known to be a symbol of love, pride, and joy for centuries. In the next verse, the happy child laughs. Why? We’ve not been told yet. We’re back to the rhetorics, except this one was unspoken. We’re traversing from the obvious to the unknown. The insane. The poetess ‘cries’ hello. It’s only appropriate. Subtly, she’s welcoming us into this journey we’ve decided to embark upon. We return her greeting, and march on. 

He gives his plushie pillow a shake,

And laughs until his belly aches.

The only other sound's the break,

Of distant waves and birds awake.

In this stanza, the poetess finally divulges why the boy laughed. He’s laughing again as well. What’s causing this excessive laughter? It’s the shaking of the ‘plushie pillow’. This clearly implies something strange about the pillow. Again, the matter is dropped abruptly - and we’re left thinking. Are we to fill the blank with our imagination? Or will the answer be revealed further by her? Worry not, for we commence to the next stanza immediately - as the lines at the end are a rather generic way of introducing a setting. It’s early, and there’s a beach - we get it. Tell us about the plushie. 

The plushie pillow is big, soft and deep,

But he has promises to keep,

After cake and lots of sleep.

Sweet dreams come to him cheap.

Big, soft and deep - she claims. Obviously, she’s touched it before. If the boy’s let her touch his toy, she must have been somebody he trusts. A babysitter? Neighbor? Nothing is told. Further, she tells us that he has places to be - as in, he cannot afford to simply shake his pillow and laugh the entire day, though surely he would’ve liked to. This is a pointed metaphor, I believe - for life, and living it. But then we approach the truly conflicting bit. A sated child sleeps soundly - of course it does. But the author used a period after ‘sleep’ in the third line. Does it imply that these sweet dreams are dreamt awake? If it’s prompted by cake, are they about cake as well? If it’s prompted by sleep - is the boy dreaming of sleep, whilst awake? Sounds reaching, but somehow, the poetess has managed to make us feel diminished for questioning such apparent simplicity. This stanza is certainly my favorite, and elixir to a curious mind. And now, we proceed to the last paragraph. 

He rises from his gentle bed,

With thoughts of kittens in his head,

He eats his jam with lots of bread.

Ready for the day ahead.

The boy gets up. His bed is soft. There’s kittens in his head. (Could there be a more obvious metaphor?) And he’s ready, after having jam and bread - but the poet’s dramatizing it. Is it supposed to tell us something? Is the boy bad at measurement? Will he ever learn? These are more questions the poetess leaves us to contemplate. It’s not just engaging poetry, because the poet has hooked us in for as long as it takes to answer the many questions which come up. 

And at the same time, in a stroke of brilliance, she imparted a message, which is impossible to miss once a reader dissects the poem. It seems as though she’s writing about a child and his ‘plushie’. But all along, it’s only been about a dog and a cat. 

Remember the rhetoric, at the very beginning? Which is an animal often subjected to rhetorical interrogation? The dog. ‘Who’s a good boy?’ - a most needless question, for all dogs are, in fact, good boys. The cat, like here the author, can tell. It’s always been able to tell, and is the happier for it. The dog’s bark’s a laugh, the cat’s purr’s a cry. Upon being nudged, the cat jiggles, and excited, the dog laughs. The dog’s big, soft and deep, with promises to keep - and the cat’s the one who’s left to his sweet dreams and sleep, with cake too - because well, the dog cares. And at the end, the dog rises to go about his day in the workaday world, while the cat sleeps and eats - a stay-at-home pet, in all his glory. 

Everything makes sense once we reread with the actual characters in mind. The pronouns need not perturb us, for the dog and the cat conveniently both identify as male. @xojo has created an absolutely delectable, unheteronormative wonder. And along with poetry, she’s created a story - a romance, dare I say - and done it magnificently.

With a slight adaptation of her verse itself, I end this essay hence.

“I watch him laugh. I cry goodbye.”
