IPL 2021 on Sunday will take place between April 9 and May 30 in six places, without any team that can play at home, the Board of Governors announced on Sunday.
Despite the growth of COVID-19, Mumbai has been named one of the host cities, and the tournament will take place behind closed doors at least at the beginning of the tournament.

Each team will play in four places during the championship phase. Of the 56 league matches, Chennai, Mumbai, Calcutta and Bengaluru will host 10 games each, while Ahmedabad and Delhi will host 8 games each. One of the highlights of this edition is that all matches will be played on neutral ground, no team will play instead at home. All teams will play in 4 out of 6 places during the championship phase.
There will be a total of 11 doubles in which 6 teams will play three matches in the afternoon and two teams will play two matches in the afternoon. The afternoon games will start at 15:30 IST, while the evening games will start at 19:30 IST.

The list of auctions for VIVO IPL 2021 players appeared with a total of 292 cricketers who will be beaten in Chennai on February 18, 2021. 1114 cricketers initially registered for the auction. The final list was then shortened after the eight franchises presented their list of players.
2 INR is the highest reserve price and they chose two Indian players - Harbhajan Singh and Kedar Jadhav - and eight foreign players - Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy and Mark Wood to be included in the highest range.
12 players are on the auction list with a base price of 1.5 INR. Hanuma Vihari and Umesh Yadav are the two Indian players on the list of 11 cricketers with a base price of 1 INR.
A total of 164 Indian players, 125 foreign players and 3 players from the associated nations will participate in the VIVO IPL 2021 player auction in Chennai.
