Tis all good about the poll!
And as far as the doll goes, they’re made of needlefelting over a wire armature. I’ve recently made a trio of waldorf dolls for my favorite show and tbh…never again(at least not for a little while). Too much sewing for me😅. I’m not that precise with things and typically blank out and come back, then there’s a doll there.
(these are the onlyyy pictureesss i haveeee.. I should really get a phone. I would take so many photos. The world would not be ready.)
ANywho! White core wool over an armature, no idea how I made the head. I think I did a wire hook and built up wool from there. Next time I make a doll I might do a crochet ball on the inside like I did with ANuli. (Because the head turned out more squished horizontally. It just doesn’t look that way because I overdid the hair)
of course, the chrochet ball is part of the reason why fae is so… large. So I’d probably make it smaller. (I just went for it with the both of them aklfkdksfj.)
Then after the white core wool I’ll stab on the skin tone.
Now as far as the hair goes, because this is needlefelting I get to stab the hair straight into the scalp. Cassiah’s hair is made of yarn that I unwove. ANuli’s is pipecleaner that I wrapped in wool…. and got lazier as I went along. So tip on how to attach those! Fold the pipe cleaner in half, then a strip of wool along the middle, stab both sides. I have no idea how but Anuli’s ‘hair’ is strong enough where I either hold faer by the neck or by the hair… fae’s very heavy because of that crhochet ball.
Okay wait as far as the armature I memorized the instructions from here.
(So they might be slightly different but I used this for the most part)

then again, next time i might crochet a ball for the head for a better shape. From there I wrap white core wool. After building up the shape I cover it in the skin tone. I made the hair with yarn and stabbed it into the head. I overdid it with this doll… soo… yarn fills up quickly and a little can go a long way😅
From there… clothes! (which I am not that good with adskkdsf)
This is another doll I did afterwards with the same methodology.
(ANd now I’m thinking that perhaps I should record myslef the next time I make a doll…. even I myself do not remember or know how I make these)
(the friend I gifted this too took the photo btw)
So yep! that’s about it! lmk if you have any other questions and I’d be happy to answer + I’m glad you liked the doll + I hope this was coherent <3
Okay so I'm writing a biology story. (very neurotypical of me /sarcasm)
and there are some executive decisions I need help with. HENCE POLLS
First off, name
This one is a caspase-3. Basically, a protein assassin with a case of nihilism and attachment issues.
And the current name I have for them - Cassiah - is... okay but people seem to like it when I smush a bunch of letters together sooo...
The lovely biology taglist: @vamp4ever @bonesbeetle @neurospicy-salsa @sea-dwelling-wizard
lmk if you want to be added or removed!
