but what if it was ingo who merged with cresselia and akari merging w Darkrai? (Let akari give kamado bad dreams!! Lol)

Cresselia!Ingo and Darkrai!Akari... gosh, that's wild to think about.

Cresselia finds a nearly dead Ingo in the Icelands, and decides to take mercy on the human and heal him... but since it takes up so much of her power, she ends up merging with him in order to do so. Ingo wakes up fully healed, but with no memories other than his name, and the belief that he's almost positive his eyes and bangs didn't use to be purple. He brings good dreams with him when he's taken in by the Pearl Clan, so they think of him as a good omen... and then comes the day of the full moon, where Cresselia takes over.

Which is... really funny to think about, because in some respects, Cresselia matches Ingo better than Darkrai! She's very polite and kind, although her inquisitiveness can make her a touch rude without her meaning to be. Also it's funny to think of Ingo with one of those glowing hagoromo things, but you know what? It's also a good look for him. The weirdest part it definitely that Cresselia is very expressive, whereas Ingo is of course not.

But gosh, Darkrai Akari... how does that even happen. I don't know, but it does!! Laventon still finds her on Prelude Beach, but after she moves into Jubilife Village, people start having nightmares every night, which definitely increases the sense of suspicion around her... and okay, technically that one is her fault!! And then when the day of the new moon comes, and Darkrai takes over... well. Akari's rude now, except it's Darkrai. Kamado probably tries to drive them out on the spot, but by that point she's probably already quelled at least Lord Kleavor, so Irida intervenes and is saved when Warden Ingo suddenly arrives and offers to let her stay with him in his tent in the Highlands. There's no issue if she's away from Jubilife Village at night, and she can continue her survey corps work from there, can't she?

Kamado begrudgingly accepts these conditions. Irida squints as "Ingo" walks away and realizes that they're glowing just a little and is just like huh. that was actually Cresselia. Guess these two things must be connected.
