I haven't read much about sakura (cherry) blossoms being used directly in spellcrafting, but their biology and mythology are layered in meanings that you can use to evoke moods or themes in your intention setting. Biologically, cherry blossoms bloom before spring, and last for a very short time--typically a week or so. Symbolically, cherry blossoms have come to represent welcoming the advancing light after a dark winter, and taking advantage of the short amount of time we are given.
