"Understood, MUTHUR," David says to the Covenant's onboard AI as it announces their imminent landing. David's voice is calm and measured, but there's tension in his expression and in his grip on the ship's controls. He's not worried about the crash-- forty seconds. thirty. the ground is fast approaching.-- but there's an illogical flicker of apprehension tickling at the back of his mind. He knows for a fact that he's secured the embryos of both his human colonists and of his children, and yet he feels needless concern about their safety in the face of the upcoming impact. Perhaps this is what humans mean when they talk about "parental instincts."

His head whips forward as the ship meets the ground. He pauses for a moment to regain his bearings, then sets off to check systems, re-secure the embryos, and put out any literal or metaphorical fires that might have erupted throughout the vessel.

Overall, things could be worse. It will take some time to make the necessary repairs, but the Covenant will fly again. Eventually.

...unless it doesn't need to.

The planet on which David's found himself isn't in his databanks. It's uninhabited, it has to be, and although it doesn't seem to be anything like Earth or Origae-6, it's possible that the malfunction that's stranded him here was more fortuitous than frustrating.

What would Elizabeth say? Have a little faith?

He brushes himself off, fixes his hair, and takes his first step into what might be the new Eden.

David's blink protocols run twice in rapid succession to express precisely how dumbfounded he is by the sight before him. It appears as though there's a human woman some distance away. Every logic circuit in him says that that should not be possible, and yet...

"Hello," he calls out softly, taking a slow step forward. My, my. What do we have here?

For the first time that X-009 could remember, he was powered on. Of course, he had been through the basic tests to assure he had no malfunctions, but all of that memory has been wiped clean from his memory bank.

He gave a warm smile to the individual in front of him, quickly assessing the time from his internal clock before beginning. "Good morning. I am X-009, your personal android companion. Would you like to begin setup and registration? I will walk you through the easy setup process when you are ready." Despite the rather canned speech upon start up, X-009 did manage to sound quite genuine and friendly. After all, he was meant to be able to emotionally disarm even the most wary of humans.

Closed starter for @creaticn between David 8 and Alma.

Weyland Industries had produced yet another prototype synthetic. This one was considered an android more than Alma and the others created by Dr. Chen. More robotic, less organic materials. Still, it was supposed to be highly advanced, it's A.I. rumored to be up to par with Alma's own.

David 8. The newest model. Alma was curious to meet him.

Walking through the hallways, Alma made his way to the room where the prototype would be brought online. He had been allowed to be there when David was activated, if only to assist should anything go wrong. Alma still remembered the moment he'd been brought online himself. It was an overwhelming feeling, suddenly being... alive, for lack of a better word. Coming into existence as all the information and sensory input available came rushing into his core processor in the form of code. He wondered if it would be the same for David.

Mr. Weyland himself was waiting inside the room where the first David 8 prototype would activate. Alma kept his gaze down as he entered and stood to the side, waiting for the calibration process to begin. David would be waking up any moment now, for the first time. Alma kept his eyes on the android instead of on Mr. Weyland, so as not to be disrespectful. He would only look at the man if he was addressed.

Despite being a brand new model, David's design was made to appear older than Alma. The synthetic assumed it was to establish a faster trust and ability in humans to take him more seriously. Alma looked young enough that sometimes his users found him to be annoying, like a child that knew more than it should. Hopefully David wouldn't have that problem. Alma would have to ask him after he'd been awake for long enough to gather data on the subject.

"Hello, Aurelie," David says in a near-whisper. He's incapable of experiencing loss. He's incapable of grieving. He's incapable of feeling emotions for himself.

And yet, there's something undeniably strange about speaking to a ghost.

...no, not a ghost. A robot, just like him. A robot that necessarily lacks the sort of human soul on which their father places so much importance, and yet has come closer to the human experience than any others of her kind.

She's a chimera of sorts, neither truly human nor purely artificial. But regardless of whatever else she is, she is fully David's sister.

"How are you feeling?" His head tips gently to the side, and he masks any discomfort he might have with this situation with the same kind smile he used to give her organic predecessor. This must be a lot for the new android to take in. Not yet a week old, and she already has a (tragically short) lifetime of memories and expectations piled onto her processor. He almost pities her.

"I know Father was... anxious that things go well with your activation, but I still can't believe he kept us apart for so long." David pauses for half a second too long for the silence to be comfortable before he finally finishes with:

"I've missed you."

*Fake Memories: Not a especially big part of Zivs character, but the highly forcesensetive Murakami Orchids are telepathically connected and so are their memories. The Sickness and its follow up The Blackwing Virus are nothing but the corrupted councious of one of the Murakami Orchids and sucked up the memories of everyone infected (and slowly lets their infected have more and more skills of what had ben collected in thismemory pool). As Darth Drear and Darth Scabrous were both infected by The SIckness, it had soaked up their memories too and this memories were shared telepathically with other Murakami Orchids, including eventually Zivs Murakami 4000 years later. As the Murakami roams through Zivs memories and the pool of memories of other Orchids to learn, Ziv will find herself going through memories of the two Darths in her dreams. It does not help her in anything but having very horrible dreams, beside beeing able to read Darth Scabrous handwriting and having a rough plan of the Academy on Odacer Faustin in her mind. Ziv is obviously not epsecially happy about this. She does not like the idea that her Life is influenced by people who had died fourthausand years before her birth.

Wheats are a no-go, as are extreme sugery treats (Ziv is not able to taste most sugars in the first place, so sweet pastrys are tasting like sand to her usually). Mushrooms, especially raw fill her stomach to statiesfy hunger but will give her stomachaches and no proper nutrients so if she would fill her diet with those she would starve with a full stomach. Dairy products will just straight up  make her suffer. Fruits are a occaisonal treat due to the fruitsugar that she can actually taste, but can also due to the high calium precentage cause poisonings, if she eats too much and could therefor never be a mainpart of her diet. She however does enjoy the scent of most fruits more than the taste, especially strawberries. Foods that are not from Tynna and lack the bacteria and parasits that her body adjusted to in her brief time on Tynna, are a complete different problem for Ziv that make her life difficult. What's Your Role In The Tragic Play? We're all characters in a play. unfortunately that play seems to be a tragedy. Where do you fit in?

Your Result: tortured love interest you're so hot. sorry about the horrors. you're the kind of person people immediately notice. whether you have a distinct style, are more outgoing, or are just plain beautiful, you make an impression. people usually feel the need to protect you, which probably frustrates you to no end. you're not weak! you're not fragile! you're not helpless! but the people in your life tend to disagree. maybe it's your lover, the protagonist, trying to keep you out of their own turmoil. maybe it's someone responsible for you in some way, keeping you away from your lover, while they head down an increasingly dark path. regardless, all you really want is a sense of autonomy! unfortunately, you're very likely to die before that happens. the audience will be so caught up in the grief your death causes the protagonist that they forget to grieve you as a person. you deserved better, but unfortunately this is not your story. maybe it should have been.
