So... I might have binged Scorpion and can't stop thinking about it. Also if Walter had another genius around as a kid.

Enter Sorsha Flannery. She grew up down the road from Walter, and they were the best of friends until his family moved to Callan and hers moved to the U.S. They constantly competed to be the best, trying to outshine the other in all things academic, but where Walter's gifts were fueled by the eventual involvement of Homeland Security, Sorsha's were discouraged in favor of more feminine pursuits.

Flash forward to 2014, and Sorsha's a burnt-out FBI analyst in Los Angeles who hasn't had a challenge in years, unless you count daily conversations with others. Out of boredom, she decided to turn her attention to a colleague's work- review of a communication software due to be updated at air traffic control towers nationwide. She caught the bug in the update, but not before the update was rolled out to LAX.

When her boss calls her into her office, Sorsha is sure she's going to be fired, both for abandoning her duties and for not catching the bug in time, but instead she's introduced to Cabe Gallo, a Homeland Security agent tasked with fixing the bug before planes start falling out of the sky, and his plan involves her old neighbor Wally.
