So in creachur kevin au, how did he get turned creachure?

Also what happens with bob in this au?

so in the creachure kevin au, my idea was that he was mostly doing just normal stuff and then encountered the cult, they did SOMETHING to him, and he assumed that whatever they did before he ran away from them caused him to start slowly transforming, with only streber around to help him work through a changing body and new instincts

however, it actually goes further back... see, he was born with Marfans Syndrome, which causes extended limbs and heart issues. his parents were so afraid of him dying out of their control, so they went to the cult and he was saved, and they agreed to pay a price when the time came... unfortunately, they assumed they themselves would be paying the price, and not their son. the cult then kidnapped him as an adult to sacrifice to eyes, returning the power they borrowed to save him

however, the proximity to the eyes magic longer than the brief interaction in the candy shop just activated some things that were already slightly strange with kevin and made worse by meeting eyes... and he ran away while transforming and only found streber later on and asked him for help (partly cuz he was the first person who didn't run away from him)

also, bob is currently dead in this au

Is creachure Kevin capable of hypnosis like Eyes, or are his eyes just for show?

oooh I've never really thought of what Eyes can do as hypnosis, but it sure acts that way, huh? I think he can instill some Existential Fear, but idk about full hypnosis, and some people are more resistant to it than others... like Skid seems to have natural resistance, and since Streber hangs out with him a lot as he changes, he gains a resistance too! :3 Pump definitely Reacts to Kevin more and more as he changes tho, gets kinda suspicious about if something has replaced his favorite candy clerk...

If I may offer a suggestion for creachure Kevin, maybe some werewolf-ish traits? Obvious contrast to Streber is obvious, but there's brief gags in both Deadly Smiles and Tender Treats where Kevin growls like a wolf when he's mad

ooooh!! I'm currently going on a more eldritch slant, inspired by Eyes, but omg werewolf kevin... that would be so fun and fit well with the theme of Kevin Not Knowing bc of the common trope of werewolves forgetting... plus since I'm getting this idea from how Strange things get when he's angry... 👀
