Short story: under 7,500

Novelette: between 7,500 and 17,500

Novella: between 17,500 and 40,000

Novel: over 40,000

Fics over 40k are literally a novel written and shared for free.  If you have written a 40k+ fic, you have literally written a novel.

Fr sometimes I'll look to read new fics and then when i find an old one ik i read, or even just go find the fic i read before cos honestly ik i love it and idk it just soothing

Fr I had one who chewed me out cos i was sick 1 fucking day and texted my coworker and owner instead of calling the workplace immediately (i had no credit) or say what i was sick with (literally not legal or contracted).

And honestly wished when they told me to either come with a WRITTEN apology or not come back at all to just not come back cos the following time was just torture and alot of stress and issues even after i left (actually fired but then tried to bribe me back which i said fuck no)

please please please remember that no matter what your manager says, it is never that serious. unless you are literally performing surgery or defusing a bomb, it simply is not that serious

Pisses me off when some products are designed exclusively for children. like I'm not saying we should get RID of stuff designed for kids, but why can't there ALSO be fruit snacks for the working adult. You know. Squeezy apple sauce pouches that say "Yes Debra, I am twenty-six years old and eating an apple sauce pouch on the train as it is a convenient, spoonless, healthy snack, and I refuse to be ashamed of that, goddamnit." Popsicles that say on the stick "FUN FACT: Remember to renew your passport at least 7-9 months ahead of the expiry date, as many countries will not let you travel if you have less than 6 months of validity left." Do you see my vision.

Idk anyone mentioned but I remember reading there was a small study which showed masks did in fact help reduce flu, tho they emphasise ya gotta know how to use the masks right

am i insane or should masks be mandated for hospitals as a permanent installation. a forever institution. always. covid is an irrelevant factor when hospitals are always full of both very sick and very immunocompromised people..?
