As for your other comment. There are definitely cottagecore vibes to this story. Though I didn’t specify time period, I sorta envisioned a semi-medieval era or something echoing the style of the Enchanted Forest in the TV show (though less magical). But I left it open to interpretation because why not? And cottagcore does makes sense in the context given. I could totally imagine the reader’s house like that. It’s just so dang pretty. I’m just stuck on the fact you made a moodboard for the story and my heart is just so full. Thank you again.

Sebastian would definitely not mind having his business being questioned, mostly because he knows he’s doing it well and even better than Michael Forrest. Therefore all those stupid remarks regarding his business choices wouldn’t really have weight on his consciousness.

However, his breaking point is always and will always be his children.

Sebastian did not have a particularly healthy childhood and after his parents’ divorce and his mum not being allowed to see him, he didn’t particularly get any attention from his father so he pretty much promised himself he would never EVER let his children feel unloved or uncared for.

He will do ANYTHING for his children and he is a great father but due to his profession he will not receive any praise about it or it won’t even be mentioned.

Y/Ns father particularly will be always commenting about his parenting style (which is rather ironic considering he wasn’t really a father to his only daughter even if she was around) and that is his breaking point

When Nate was a newborn (like three weeks or so), Sebastian had to leave for Australia for a month. He had no choice and he was pretty much forced to go and very upset to leave his wife and newborn behind.

During the time he was away Nate got sick with a cold and Y/N was left alone not knowing exactly how to deal.

She didn’t want to call Seb because she knew he’d come back and it was an important business deal so instead she called her father.

Sebastian was only told of it when he came back and he was absolutely shattered. He hated the idea of his wife alone with their sick newborn

He was already upset about it and when her father started making comments it just broke him down “I see you and your father share parenting strategies” and that was his breakdown point

He wasn’t violent with her father and he did not yell, he would never openly disrespect her father so he just left to her study

Y/N is not happy. She always has this little inner conflict when it’s business deals because she’s both involved with his side of the business as his wife and with his fathers side yet she will not tolerate comments on her or his parenting.

She will be a mediator during business but will NOT allow any comments on her and Sebastians parenting

Like snide remarks will get a side eye from her or she will text her dad yet the Australian situation really pissed her off and she pretty much got extremely mad he said that “You don’t get to comment on how Sebastian raises his kid when you didn’t raise yours”

She would come into the bedroom where Sebastian normally sits in if something is upsetting him with Nate and put him in his arms because it always calms him down

I just caught up with the Sun and Moon and read Aurora, and I can’t stop thinking about the endinggg, like in years time, when all wounds, physical and emotional, have healed, will James just be “James” or will the winter soldier forever live and be apart of him? Second, for your question, I would say no? At least not seriously.

I mean, Florence (the librarian in my story) is canonically his wife in the book/movie (if you watched the movie, she was the woman in the car with the Pepsi cup). Lee might sate his sexual appetite with a hooker or persuade a date into helping him out on any occasion when he needs it. But 1) he never got over Reader and still loves her, 2) is too focused on his career and being powerful to care about being with someone, and 3) is still young enough that he’s not quite being pressured yet to settle down. So, he could have ‘hooked-up’ with a number of women in those nine years, but never got emotionally attached.
