I have no idea how long this will be I have like infinite thoughts it’s been hours and I keep coming up with more mean girls stuff and now I wanna draw concept art aahhh

I finally saw the mean girls musical (the movie one) I have so many fucking thoughts oh my god

#thoughts #oni talks #mean girls 2024 #back to what I was saying about the plushy thing it would be interesting if like saying what she said was shown in the flashback like #example if someone’s asking her why she’s carrying around a plush with a pin and she can’t answer the truth of what it means to her so she #throws her under. the bus OR if someone offers it up for her like Gretchen for example bc Gretchen couldn’t conceive of Regina being gay or #her mom asking the question while she’s hanging with Gretchen and she deflects bc her mom isn’t safe to come out and Gretchen spreads that #or otherwise seems agreeing with that behavior which leads Regina to feel less safe and to play up the bullying more and also could give #more context for why Regina seems to always have some weird anger towards Gretchen who from my perspective seems overly invested in Regina #& what Regina thinks of her which tbh you could easily write Gretchen as closeted too and make it a bigger mess of awareness vs not awar #cuz there’s a difference between closeted when you know vs closeted when you yourself aren’t even fully aware of what you are #but anyway it would be an interesting tie back to say the moment with Cady and the shoes & her having to feel like she has to make up a mean #reason to give her shoes vs a genuinely nice one? bc she can’t be seen finding Cady attractive even though she clearly does like think of #how odd the reaction is when Regina seems to take an interest in Cady in particular and even seems almost defensive over her to that one #creep & consider how she only began the bigger aspects of hostility after she found out Aaron liked her #leaning into the concept of Regina saying she didn’t realize how hard it would be telling Aaron Cady liked him could be interesting from a #few different perspectives again j think that song is most interesting when it’s about Cady but pointed towards Aaron #coz at first it did almost seem like she was helping Cady by telling him but if you notice she seemed to hope Aaron wouldn’t like her or #would be turned away & when he wasn’t she got upset? it would be interesting if she leaned into that I’m doing this to keep him from her or #alternatively living vicariously? like the time she had Cady say that about his hair her perspective of visualizing that said to her ?#being able to see her look at Aaron and pretend it’s at her or some other weird mind fuckery shit?#also sorry if this sounds weird but the way Cady was dressed at the start was giving off the vibe of clearly a lesbian to everyone but #themselves (I speak from experience being that) & her being drawn to Cady under the guise of thinking she’s a lesbian and having her under #her as a secret would be interesting? also the concept of Regina being willing to break her facade for Cady or getting close to that only to #see Cady’s interest in Aaron pushing further back in the closet? also the fact she still trusted Cady during the Aaron stuff? like also #the concept of Regina eating those bars bc it makes her think of Cady would be a cute double whammy once she learns Cady was doing that to #specifically hurt her? also the animosity between Regina and janis of proudly out vs shamed closeted and being angry at her for being out #also if we lean into the sports ending from the original we could give Regina a sporty love interest? okg I just thought of how to make the #guy she cheats with more interesting? what if he has a sister and it’s just an excuse to get closer to her? that could be cute #having scenes together that mirror her hiding her sportiness & Cady hiding her math could be so interesting imo
