[РУ ниже] The ever changing world has stopped me in my art tracks once again. Why do I draw? What’s the meaning of it? I don’t just draw what I see. Something on a much deeper level is sorting itself out when I sketch something.⁣ ⁣ I don’t sketch to be busy, nor do I sketch for the sake of posting it here. I don’t suffer from “engagement levels & likes drop” withdrawal. A kid of the “no-smartphone” generation.⁣ ⁣ While I don’t draw, I’m busy sorting through my mind. Sure, let’s draw my kitchen cabinet. But why? Is all I’m going to remember of this time is that I was so bored and needed to keep myself busy that I sketched the spoons in my drawer? Or is there something deeper that I need to me addressing here?⁣ ⁣ Something amazing is happening. The Great Pause. Pause to think. Seat still. Un-busy yourself. Find out something incredible about yourself. You never will if you keep fidgeting.⁣ ⁣ 🇷🇺Вечно меняющийся мир снова остановил меня на моих арт-рельсах. Почему я рисую? Не потому, что что-то попалось в поле моего зрения. Не чтобы себя занять. Не чтобы поднять статы в инстаграме. У меня даже нет ломки от снижения лайков и просмотров, как происходит у многих блогеров.⁣ ⁣ Конечно, давайте я нарисую ящик с ложками. Но почему? Чтобы потом помнить, что во время локдауна мне было так скучно, что я перерисовала всё, что нашла в доме? Или чтобы чем-то себя занять? Нет.⁣ ⁣ В мире происходит что-то потрясающее. Великая Пауза. Она не для того, чтобы выжить, «заняв себя» чем-нибудь. Она - чтобы перестать бегать, терзать телефон, обновляя ленту каждые три секунды, и смотреть телевизор. Для меня эта пауза - чтобы остановиться и посмотреть на себя и мир, который я создала вокруг меня, другими глазами. FB Memories: Hide People/Date/Notifs

Fb has been a great part of everyone’s life. If not fb, at least it’s messenger, right? But Pinoys are #1 fb Users! Anyhow, lately Fb has been giving us memories since March of the last years’ whereabouts, reminding us a great memory of yesterday’s and making us feel grateful of that life have been. Memories are both good and bad, and I just discovered this healthy feature of “memories”, where you can filter it as desired!

In Web, click that Memories in the side options and you’ll see image below. For the app, you have to click memories, then click gear icon for settings.

my spiritual be-ing can be described like the movement of my white prayer dress swishing with ripple-like wave forms alongside the gravity and the wind...

i awake half-asleep as i’m aware with my voice 

why does this feel like a dream

wait - 

can it be? i am stuck, another day

the same day to give me another chance

to take hold of my karmic deeds

and confront it, face it

to break this suffering

here and now . . .

Call it ‘karma.’ I feel this is my be-ing realising the essence of ‘self-infliction’ and frustration in a new light and revelation.

I am weak and I do not know why I keep repeating the same habit and action. I fight myself. 

I have arrived into another path - to learn about my ancestors’ way of being and understanding karmic relationships and self-cultivation.

My head use to ‘think’ it knows. Now, my be-ing rules...

Keep walking.

a walk in the park

one excuse to get out of the house for a non-essential reason is going for a walk. while morgan was working on the walk up window, i spotted a few people playing catch in the park across the street from my house. from a distance of at least 6 feet away, i asked if i could document them. i was surprised to see the park still so populated, but each group still kept their distance from each other. it’s terrifying that people can be asymptomatic and that kids can have different symptoms, so i stayed significantly farther away from the neighborhood kids playing basketball. i also met a dog, milo, and his owner mario.

sanitizing groceries

ordering groceries for pickup is a solid method for reducing your level of exposure. very early on, morgan and i went hard on sanitizing the groceries, the car, and any surfaces we touched on the way to the sink to wash our hands. this is our “sanitation station,” an assembly line for spraying down groceries, set up with diluted sanicide and towels. our reserve of toilet paper and paper towels sits proudly in the laundry room.
