Trigger Warning: Unknown Illness, Unable to Breathe
I've been having really bad breathing problems for like a year now and I'm starting to be at a point where it's like "I wish I'd just broken my leg" or "I wish I just had a fever or third degree burns", just.. something that people can see. It's like, I'm suffering my way around life, I've been to so many doctors and no one could really help and everyone around just doesn't.. see it. I suffocate my way up and down the stairs but I'm still expected to go to work and to do good and if I do shit then I'm expected to do better work and I'm just like?? Can I choke you for a sec and you do my work while I do that and we keep talking?
..I'm so tired of this, fr

(podfic) a bird on the edge of a blade | Rated: T | Length: 10 minutes
DCU: Jason Todd/Tim Drake
“Bring me the Joker’s head on a platter,” Jason says, and he doesn’t mean anything by it, not really. It’s the kind of thing he jokes about when he’s overwhelmed, and he’s overwhelmed by Tim a lot. Tim’s intensity makes Jason turn flippant, makes him counterweigh the seriousness with comments about his own torture and death, like that will somehow lighten the mood. Jason says all kinds of things, for all kinds of reasons. He doesn’t expect anyone to listen.

last question for @choccy-zefirka because tumblr eated it:
Did your Inquisitor usually follow Cullen (force), Leliana (secrets), or Josephine's (connections) advice? How did they tend to judge at Skyhold?
generally, josie, or leliana - when she doesnt suggest murder over little inconveniences, that is
Tumblr media
cullen and his bruteforcing of problems less so - generally when something needs to be built, mined, etc... though when he said "the nobles are going to kill the elves and then send apologies" in the clan lavellan quest that earned him a lot of respect. like Yes. you Get It. you get whats wrong with human society. go kick their asses ill hold your flower
as for judgement, generally, all for getting some value out of the prisoners, make them contribute to society and counterweigh some of the mess they made.
but also, secret new option: whenever something gets handed over to the wardens its basically Rin This Is Your Problem Now, as she becomes the de facto commander of the wardens at skyhold. that warden repenting for what erimond made her do? you find her a Task™. erimond himself? do what you will with him hes left you the mess. blackwall? you guessed that youre under rins command now.
its not nepotism if they dont remember each other at the start <3

Shahryar Oveissi's Carbon Offset Initiatives: Sustainability commitment!
Tumblr media
Carbon offset development provides projects that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and counterweigh the emissions in other places. Some of these efforts can be installing renewable energy sources, afforestation, and making changes to enhance energy efficiency. Due to their focus, the development of carbon offset is an important contribution to the fight against climate change and the support of sustainable initiatives. As a part of Argali Carbon Corporation Limited, the interest by the company's owner, Shahryar Oveissi, in carbon offset projects shows that he is aware of these factors and is undertaking actions to reduce them in society.

Gun Compensator: Balancing the Benefits and Drawbacks
Gun compensator for handguns, distinguished by their incorporation of a compensator to mitigate muzzle rise and recoil, present an intriguing subject within the realms of competitive shooting and personal defense. These firearms, while offering distinct advantages in specific contexts, are simultaneously beset by inherent drawbacks. This exposition endeavors to methodically dissect the pros and cons of compensated handguns, furnishing a nuanced perspective for individuals contemplating their utilization.
Enhanced Precision
Foremost among the merits of compensated handguns is the augmentation of shooting precision. The compensator, a mechanism affixed to the gun's barrel, orchestrates the upward redirection of gases upon discharge. This mechanism effectively counters muzzle lift, thereby facilitating a more stable targeting line, particularly in scenarios demanding rapid successive shots. This attribute is of paramount significance in competitive shooting environments where accuracy and swift shot succession are imperative.
Expedited Sequential Firing
Inextricably linked to enhanced precision is the benefit of expedited sequential firing. The diminution of recoil enables shooters to swiftly re-align with their target, a critical facet in contexts necessitating rapid multiple shots, such as certain self-defense situations or competitive shooting events. The capacity for rapid, precise shooting can decisively influence outcomes.
Augmented Control and User Comfort
The mitigation of recoil not only refines accuracy but also elevates the overall control and ergonomic experience for the shooter. This is especially advantageous for individuals with limited upper body strength or those particularly susceptible to recoil. By tempering the firearm's kickback, compensated handguns render the shooting experience more agreeable, potentially fostering enhanced practice and proficiency.
Complexity and Maintenance Demands
Conversely, compensated handguns are intrinsically more complex than their standard counterparts. This complexity often translates into heightened maintenance demands. The compensator and its ports are prone to the accumulation of residues, necessitating consistent and meticulous cleaning to maintain peak functionality. For those favoring a low-maintenance firearm, this could be a deterrent.
Amplified Noise and Muzzle Flash
A significant drawback of gun compensator is the potential amplification of noise and muzzle flash. The gas redirection that aids in recoil control can also result in a more pronounced acoustic report and flash. This can be disadvantageous in dimly lit environments or scenarios where discretion is paramount. Moreover, the intensified noise can be startling or uncomfortable for the shooter and bystanders alike.
Concealment Challenges
Compensated handguns also present concealment challenges. The compensator's added dimensions can complicate the concealment of the firearm, a critical consideration for those engaged in personal defense. This necessitates more thoughtful attire choices or strategic positioning of the handgun on one's person.
Restricted Ammunition Compatibility
Compensated handguns may be limited in their compatibility with various ammunition types. They are optimized for specific ammunition, and the use of non-ideal types could negate the compensator's advantages. This limitation could be problematic for users requiring or preferring a broader ammunition spectrum.
Conclusion
In summation, gun compensator embody a confluence of advantages and disadvantages, rendering them apt for particular applications and user preferences. Their superior accuracy, control, and ergonomic benefits are counterweighed by increased complexity, maintenance requirements, and concealment and noise management challenges. The decision to employ a compensated handgun should be predicated on thorough consideration of these factors within the context of intended usage and personal comfort with the firearm. As with any firearm, committed training and responsible handling are essential to maximize the benefits while mitigating the drawbacks.

Wo Chan - Glasses
The overly passionate optometrist
exclaims they’re way too big
for you though I say
I have a heart- shaped face.
She places me into her
spaceship chair and pumps
so that I rise to face
the lamp-lit mirror. She goes I know
they’re in vogue right now
but they do you, really no favors,
hides your face entirely
and you’ve really got quite a face.
I say I need the large frames to counterweigh
my brazen, Asian cheekbones.
I smile. She’d have me look like
an accountant if she could, fit me a titanium
pair, compact and silver, intelligent
like the wink on the hood of a car.
What do you see? she asks
turning from me, without squinting or straining
tell me the best you can what you see.
I recite the train of alphabet, suspenseful
in their meaninglessness, while she nods
and flips through lenses, berates my right eye’s astigmatism.
Can I even apologize? I’m signed up
for half yearly checkups,
a date in March, my least favorite month
She slides my glasses back onto face.
My frames are plastic, cheap and clunky, chosen
without class or thought for their material dignity.
Surprising though how gingerly she handles them,
slipping the legs over my monkey ears,
the lenses newly wiped clean and she is clear
now, near sixty with hands that have touched
the many near blind.
She leans in and asks
now what does a young man
like you study? Her expression,
lines, more worry than laugh,
run every direction of the rose,
onto her neck (that her body may have expression too)
and across her cheeks, somehow ample
and still completely uncontained
by her tiny, golden frames.
How can a young man like me
not fall in love with her in this dim-lit room?
This time, not even my glasses will keep my heart in place.

Pure Evil is the Fandom Wikia's own answer to Complete Monster on TV Tropes. And honestly, it's such a misnomer because the criteria to be Pure Evil is not about purity of evil and malice within a character, but rather the magnitude of the evil they commit with little to no redeeming qualities to counterweigh that scale.
Since the definition of monster is "a person of unnatural or extreme ugliness, deformity, wickedness, or cruelty," Complete Monster is a very fitting name for that criteria.
But Pure Evil? As in the unadulterated kind of evil that is not mixed with anything else?
You just have to look at Aku from Samurai Jack.
Tumblr media
Aku is born from an evil tar-like substance that destroys everything he touches. He's made of evil and is literally incapable of doing anything good because it's his nature to be evil. He commits atrocities for the sake of it, only stopping short of completely destroying everything pure and beautiful just to give the world false hope before he destroys in a later date. He treats everyone as tools or playthings in his spare time, is responsible for the deaths of millions if not billions, and he's proud of being a card-carrying bastard...
Except, he's not considered Pure Evil because his moral agency is compromised by the fact he's made of evil and therefore cannot do anything good even if he wants to. Plus the fact that Aku is also considered too comedic to be treated as a serious, horrible monster despite the fact he is a horrible monster and emperor of evil. What irony. Aku can't be considered Pure Evil because he's literally made of evil, which is as pure of evil as a character can be.
This is why I dislike Pure Evil as an alternative name to Complete Monster. A least the term Complete Monster can imply some depth and complexity to a character even if it's completely warped. And it doesn't imply that a character is pure evil... just so deep into evil that no amount of redeeming qualities can mitigate those levels.
I feel like whoever put Belos in the Pure Evil Wiki is blatantly wrong. Like Belos doesn't commit crime because he likes commiting crime, he's a religious zealot who misplaces the blame of his brother's death onto witches. Definitionally speaking he wouldn't be pure evil because he has motivations outside of committing crime because he enjoys it.
that's a fair point
tbh, by "Pure evil" it kinda sounds like it's being based on the number and weight of atrocities then like why the atrocities exist?
i guess it depends on your definition of "Pure evil"
cause he's definitely evil, but the reasons for his atrocities are a bit more complicated then some other antagonists, which is why some fans he falls under "Tragic villian", and tragic villians are rarely considered PURE evil cause they have some layers of regret or human vulnerability.
if people like him purely for his role as a villian that's perfectly fine honestly, tho more power to those who like to dissect how he got to his position cause complicated villians are usually some of the best.

Opéra Garnier - The Chandelier
The legendary beauty which adorns the ceiling of the auditorium of the Palais Garnier was designed by Charles Garnier himself. There was a real-life accident in 1896 when (probably) a short-circuit damaged the wires and caused one of the counterweighs of the reflector above the chandelier to fall and kill one woman (a concierge) while gravely injuring another. the accident happened during a performance of the opera “Hellé“. The headline which Leroux quotes in the novel is very close to the original which appeared in the newspaper after the accident.
The chandelier itself - which weighs about 7,000 kilos - thankfully never fell, but the accident still inspired the events in Leroux‘s novel.
The design of the chandelier in the stage show features lyres similar to the original. The new London chandelier is even closer to Garnier‘s original design, now featuring a round shape and also the ornamental chains.

🜚。°   CLOTHING . . .
Tumblr media
hiroe tends to like more “revealing” outfits for a few reasons.
hiroe is rather proud of her musculature and her muscular definition for her frame being relatively “smaller” for a woman of her strength and reputation. she likes to show off her muscles if possible, and to do so, wearing more revealing clothing felt like the best option.
she wears almost exclusively crop-tops or bralettes of some sort  ( both to show off her abs and her boobs, which she is also proud of ).  she prefers shorts and skirts and practically refuses to wear any form of long pants unless it is a defined pantsuit for a refined occasion. to counterweigh the shorts / skirt with her preferred modesty, she does opt for leggings, stockings, and knee high / thigh high socks and leg warmers. she wears exclusively thicker soled boots / combat boots with wide and rounded toes  ( she admires gothic fashion, however doesn’t think it suits her personal tastes so mainly wears the boots as a nod to that admiration ).
her hair is tied up nearly always with a scrunchie of one color or another  ( white, most often ),  and that is to keep her hair off from her defined and broad shoulders. she does a bit of a hackjob for her bangs to keep them out of her face, and sometimes the sides of her hair don’t always make it into the ponytail all the time or slip out during the day despite her efforts.
if she wears a dress, it is always a one-slip dress and entirely plain, and never past her knees.
her  “signature”  wardrobe staples would be her scrunchie and her black leather biker jacket. she has an array of black jackets in varying styles, but her most common is the leather biker style.
