a/n: aight so im back and ready sorry for being gone for so long. so this fic is heavily inspired by @groguspicklejar fic SO GO READ CUZ LORD. Her fics are AMAZING. while i was gone i developed a heavy crush on price from cod and i wanted to write something like this for a while so here we are.

you waited for a while until you couldnt hear any screams anymore and carefully came out of your hiding spot. you slowly aproached the villiage and saw the 4 men and with them where a few surviors tied up. the 4 men where talking amongst themselves so you decided to sneak past them. you carefully and quietly snuck past one of em and heard one of em talking.

"there was no point coming here. the only thing these people had were crops and some silver other than that they had basically nothing"

the one that said this was a dark skinned man with an axe resting on his back and the masked one awnsered.

"exactly they had crops and we don't kyle. if we want to survive this winter we needed more food."

you carefully listened in on theire confersation while sneakily trying to flee when just then you stepped on a branch making a loud crack sound. the 2 men who were talking turned theire heads to your derection.

"what was that"

slowly you could heard them aproaching the bush you hid behind. you were shaking from fear and you could hear your heart beating in your chest. without thinking you ran.

IDEA FOR A STORY THIEVES “OWEN AND THE BEANSTALK” AU

After the hug and Owen asking what the heck is going on, she realizes that no, he’s not her father

So she introduces herself: her name is Bethany Sanderson, and she’s the daughter of a human and a Brobdingnagian (the giant people in the clouds). Her father was a human who met her mother, and together they had her (“How?” “Don’t. Ask.”)

On her fourth birthday, he had to go down to the world below for something, but he never returned. Her mother believed that he left them, but Bethany is pretty sure that isn’t the case. He couldn’t have just left them like that.

Unfortunately, she can’t go down to see him; the beanstalk that her father had used to travel between the worlds had been destroyed, and she hasn’t been able to find any magic beans. She also cant get help because her mom has told her not to even try looking for him while other people just think shes being crazy when she says her father was basically the size of her hand

Owen tells her that he’ll keep an eye out for her father (Christian Sanderson, she tells him) in the world down below, before going back down and just sleeping after that crazy day

He learns the next day that it wasn’t a dream when the beanstalk is still there and finds himself climbing it again to see Bethany. Seeing her everyday is hard though, because Owen could not come up with the best excuse as to why theres a giant beanstalk in their backyard or where he was all day the day before (“Uhh…. just a project for biology?”). They’re happy to see each other though.

Idk theres also other adventures they have together, where Owen meets other giant friends: Kiel, Charm, and Gwen. (He really seems to have a liking for Charm)

It’s harder to hide his leaving though; he’s got a lot of absences at school now, and his mom is threatening to ground him if he doesn’t go back to school. (He’s been sneaking off in the middle of the day after attendances instead.) Also is it him or is the man who gave him the magic beans constantly following him?

At some point, his classmate Orion confronts him because he thinks Owen is doing something illegal and he’ll probably have to turn him into the principal or something

He doesnt believe any of Owen’s lies though, and Owen ends up telling him everything. Orion still doesnt believe him, especially at the mention of Christian Sanderson (“My godfather? He’s been missing for over eight years now”)

Owen decides to take Orion up the beanstalk, since itll be killing two birds with one stone: prove that hes not lying and since he knows about Bethany’s father, maybe he could give information about him to her

While Orion and Bethany are talking, Owen is suddenly taken from them, and they dont notice until a lot later

Maybe he went back down below when they werent looking? All right, time for a plan to go down to the human world below to find Owen (and maybe Bethany’s father)

Meanwhile, Owen is gagged and blind at the moment, unable to see his captor

Hes finally unblindfolded and ungagged, to find himself staring at the face of the man who gave him the magic beans, though it looks like theyre still in Brobdingnag

He doesnt give Owen his name (“Call me Nobody”) but he explains that Owen was never meant to befriend the giants of the world. He was meant to fear them instead.

It turns out that Nobody is a self proclaimed giant slayer, and has made it his job to destroy all Brobdingnagians. Of course, everyone thought he was crazy when he said there were giants up above. However, he could never prove it, as he couldnt find any way up to the clouds, until about 15 years ago…

a man named Christian Sanderson had somehow gotten his hands on some magic beans that grew into a giant beanstalk, and he had been visiting the giant world up above for about a year now (turns out hes found himself attracted to a giant woman up there, which is why he keeps going up the beanstalk)

Nobody had confronted Christian about this, saying that the giants must be destroyed, but Christian disagreed: they hadnt done anything wrong, they were peaceful, and with work, maybe they could one day coexist in harmony

For years, Christian didnt budge in his stance, even going as far as having a child with the Brobdingnagian woman (at which Nobody is revolted at the very idea of)

So he decided to take some extreme measures: he decided that if Christian wouldnt listen, he would just have to make him listen. He somehow got Christian to leave his daughter’s birthday party for some sort of “urgent matter” in the world below, then knocked him out, before leaving him to suffer the giant world with nothing for hours (e.g. almost being crushed, almost eaten, etc.) then taking him back down

As an extra precaution, he chopped down the beanstalk, and as he did, it quickly retreated back into the beans they had started out as, which he collected

Now he has a way back up along with proof, but how could he destroy the giants from above?

Keeping Christian prisoner in his home, Nobody takes years to come up with a plan: somehow start a war between humans and giants. He’d find some poor unsuspecting soul (Owen) to plant the beans, and when they found that there were giants in the sky, they would have the proof and create panic among the people, who would feel that they have to attack the monsters before they destroy them

Of course, Owen did exactly what Nobody didnt want him to do: befriend the Brobdingnagians like Christian had, so he tries to convince Owen to be on his side

Owen however is completely disgusted at what Nobody had done and refuses. Theyre innocent, why would he agree to start a war?

Of course, Nobody informs him that it’s too late: Bethany and her friends have already planned to go down to the world below.

Owen is aware that this would cause panic down below, so he tries to go stop them, but Nobody keeps him from going anywhere, disappointed in him (“Youre just as pathetic as Christian is”)

Meanwhile, Bethany and the others (with Orion) go down the beanstalk, and they get pretty overly excited over how the world is below; Gwen and Kiel find the humans particularly adorable

Of course, there ends up being a panic at the sight of these giant children (they dont realize that theyre kids tho) and with Orion in Bethanys hand, they make the assumption that theyre kidnapping him

idk exactly what happens but its chaos. Also eventually they find Christian who at first is v untrusting to the giants and also terrified, but when he realizes that one of the is his daughter, he starts crying of joy. Hes still nervous around the others, but hes so happy to see Bethany after eight years

back up above, Nobody knocks Owen out and leaves him unconscious on the giant road to be crushed to “learn his lesson”

he expects Owen to die, but what he doesnt know is that he had been watched. After he leaves, a tiny pink haired girl runs to the street, suddenly growing to the size of one of the Brobdingnagians and scooping up Owen in her hands

He wakes up eventually, in what looks like a bed his size, except hes also in a giant bedroom

a giant pink haired girl comes in, thankful that hes okay. He freaks out because he thinks he was kidnapped. He freaks out even more when the girl shrinks down to about his size, which she did as an act to try to calm him down

She explains what she saw Nobody do to him, how she brought him home, and who she is

her name is Kara, and shes a sizeshifter (the only one of her kind). Her mother hadnt been able to bear a child, so she used some magic thing that would allow her to have one, and she soon did. Of course, since she used magic to have a baby, there ended up being magic in her daughter: she can change her size at will

The government doesnt trust this, claiming that what Kara’s mom did was witchcraft, and dont believe that Kara deserves to exist and continually try to hunt her down. She’s never managed to get caught, but shes constantly running

Owen explains what happened with him, and Kara agrees to help him

idk how anything else would work but in the end humans and Brobdingnagians live peacefully together, theres no war and Bethany, her mother, and her father live happily together

i had the most memorable birthday weekend :> i am filled with so much love and comfort its beautiful!!

on friday, i first ate lunch with my mom and i ~subtly~ brought up moving out because mocha’s mom gave her the blessing to move out and stuff and i was just reading her text messages and it was just so warming!! my mom stayed silent and started saying stuff like why would you want to move back there and why would you leave me, etc etc more stuff like that and honestly, thats my hometown. i was born and raised there, i find so much comfort there. we kinda trailed off and whatever but yeah. i took a nap and got ready for my dinner, picked up one of my sibs and thankfully there was no waiting line! mocha brian and wayo soon arrived, introduced everyone and we ate! chio asked if they did anything for birthdays and our waiter was like “ill sing you happy birthday ill do something!” and i was like nonono its okay LOL but yeah we had a really good dinner despite... not finishing our last bowls of meat ; __ ; mocha and deejay were roasting marshmallows and when wayo was eating his marshmallow i said “bro u rawdogging ur marshmallow” and he was like “ew yeah whats wrong with that!” chio gave me a painted picture with everyones notes in the back and i was about to cry so hard because it was a picture of me on a day that i felt so vulnerable. it was a day that was significant to me because i opened up to my big and sibs and it meant alot. i appreciated it so much and ; ___ ; just hold so much love and respect for them.

they cleared our table to give me a lil plate with ice cream mochi tht spelled happy birthday in sriracha sauce AND blasted happy birthday music LOL im also glad there was enough pieces to distribute to everyone ^__^ the lady was kind enough to take our pictures too and augh such a good dinner!

we got ready to drive to karaoke and angel opened my car and i was like wait, did.. did i not lock my car LMAOOO but nothing was taken so thats good! we arrived at karaoke and finished after 2 hrs ish (they cut us short) and some security guy was talking to us and we conversed with him and then a whole hour later it was just ... alot of talking. it wasnt bad tho, we were talking about alot of issues and it was nice to see from a different perspective in a civil way.

we went to my workplace for some coffee and my coworker was just goggling at wayo, i was just laughing cuz it was so obvious !! she pulled me to the side and was like “omg is that ryan ????” and i said omg no thats my bestie and she said “oh he’s cute omg !!” told her i could always introduce him to you and stuff and she was just all giggling like GIRL lemme be your wingwoman !! so cute anyways

me and brian ate like 2 or 3 caps of mushie before going into target just so it could kick in by the time we went to the park (spoiler: it did not work) but we really ventured in target. got our snacks, lil plastic tables, slime, picnic stuff and SHREK shirts B-) wayo was like we should wear it to the park and we collectively said no LMAO

we got to the park, set up and redosed again. made slime and basically just chilled. we still didnt feel anything at 4pm and we were just like fuckitttt guess we’re going all out. we basically finished 3/4th of the ziploc but when lisa came around that time, we started feeling it. everything was so HD, so clear, bright, things were melting, when i fixated on something it felt like everything else was a blur, clouds were within arms reach, trees too, etc etc. i was expecting to see the roses at the rose garden change color but whateva. anyways, mocha took 2 stems cuz me and brian were like we’ll take more if you take some and I KNOW SHE IS SO SNEAKY !!! still love her hehe but anyways!! we were all vibing n stuff and it was just a fun time. i couldnt move tho while we were getting ready to pack and i felt sooooo planted. we eventually got to our car, found a DUMB PARKING TICKET smh greedy ass neighborhood and drove to lisa’s car. i felt so worried tho, parking ticket, leaving my car to wayo, etc i could my body tense up so much. i told wayo to keep my car (kilig mobile) safe but i knew he was a good driver. i also knnow that lisa is a good driver but my body felt as if she was going 90 mph. she suddenly swerved into t4′s parking lot and my god my life flashed before my eyes. as we went into the freeway, i felt the same sensation: all the cars just flying past me. i stared into the sky as the girls were talking and i had an epiphany: i need to tell myself that im ok. im safe. im doing fine. and it took me back to what my therapist was saying: that my body is in CONSTANT flight or fight mode. its why my chest started hurting for MONTHS the previous year. im always worried. im always expecting something bad to happen. im so used to trauma, so used to pain i dont know how else to react. so the act of telling myself to stay calm is sosoosos important. but its hard when my body is conditioned to do otherwise.

we watched interstellar, ate thai food, trauma bonded and all that good stuff. wayo opened up about some stuff and i felt so angry for his situation. i was angry because i was in a very similar situation and yknow its just tough when someone you love had to go through that. mocha also, and i just... i wish we all hadnt gone through that. 

lisa gifted me this really nice piano art poster and man i cried.. again LOL. we were both partners for our piano duet back in high school and it reminded me how much we did alot of things together. i lovelovelove playing the piano as it give me so much peace though im not the greatest but still. the poster was SO beautiful and i really cant wait to hang it up in the future :”) i dont want to hang it up now because i think it deserves a beautiful home and my current place is just not it 

we were talking about jobs, relationships, sex stuff (cuz we’re open about it), exes, etc etc and honestly it was a fun talk. me and lisa were like “i dont see myself being married” and i mean I didnt lie !!! i really couldnt see myself being married. and with kids. i see myself with a dog in a comfy small home or apartment but yeah!! and then mocha brought up ryan and then i just kinda .... went off about how handsome and kind he was LMAO and lisa was just like “girl you said you couldnt see yourself being with anyone” ; ___ ; but yeah i was just saying how amazing ryan is and he’s just so darn bright and i feel like im undeserving i was and slgnsdnldnglrthngd argh but i also mentioned that we havent met in person so what if theres a chance he thinks differently of me and im not what he expected and stuff like that. like im really happy that we do share the same feelings but im not setting up expectations because its possible it would lead to disappointment and yknow. but he’s such a great guy and honestlyyyyy sigh. the timing is so darn odd. like i break up with my ex last year and i told myself, “no more dating until i graduate AND find a job” and then boom ryan enters. not a bad thing but if i betray myself i dont think ill do well. i was just worried about this whole thing like what if it goes wrong and yknow and wayo was like “if he’s putting in so much effort theres literally nothing to worry about. he already seems like a great guy.” 

me: but how do you really know?

wayo: i just know it, trust me

we also talked about red flags and stuff, we compared ourselves back in high school and beginning of college and we were just so bad to our exes. i was a miserable person but mocha watched me grow and become such a great person and mannnnn i feel and see it too! my first healthy relationship was with my previous ex and honestly i learned alot from him. i learned to end it amicably too, and there was so much learning to do in there. i now know how to treat myself, my partner, what to do and how to deal with things and learned how to communicate better. we went to sleep around 6am and i could already hear the birds chirping. i knock out after replying to ryans email :3

we woke up and got ready in the late day: got some coffee + tea + sushi + went to home goods, wayo bought me a container for my mushies and i thought it was funny how this woman was just butting in our convo like ok LMAO. we watched everything everywhere all at once and i thought it was a tad bit abstract but towards the end i cried SO hard. i was just like “euuuughghgueueughgh” and lisa was just caressing my shoulder and i continued to cry and stuff but damn that movie really said “you get to face generational trauma TODAY”

helped everyone pack their stuff when we drove back home. i know cream puff enjoyed everyones presence cuz they all played with her and rubbed her belly ehe. but anyways we all cleaned up and stuff, and i just. felt sad. cuz everyones going back home, and ill be alone again. physically, not emotionally. but yknow.

i did alot of reflecting after the weekend, and lil bit during too. but just being around my loved ones... its sossooso healing. i felt so loved. i felt so comfortable. i felt at PEACE. like we didnt have to do anything major, just as long as im with them i felt so calm. and honestly, this is probably the best birthday ive ever had. and im SO grateful for that. i could feel myself transforming in such a beautiful way and i may not be where i want to be but i KNOW im getting there. and my friends are there beside me to help me grow. and honestly ... ugh i cant describe it im just so happy. im always looking forward to things now. i was in a massive depressive state since high school and up until recently i feel like things are changing. i hope it continues to do so in a good way. im facing my traumas, my fears, my insecurities and learning how to deal with them. im no longer alone, i feel loved, i feel myself becoming stronger, and man thats such an incredible feeling. 

if theres one thing i need to address, its probably meeting my dad again. he reached out and said happy birthday, and that we should meet again soon. i need to tell him that im financially not in a good place and that he promised he would help me. im scared that he would forget, and im scared that he would brush me off. a part of me feels guilty because i dont know if i have been a good daughter because he’s also not doing well but at the same time he has always been absent and the least thing he could do is help me pay off things. i dont know. we’ll see. but theres that. another thing i need to address in the near future is moving out (again). i dont want to be bounded in an environment where i am not allowed to grow. its scary moving out because yknow its like ... im so used to being at home with my mom and ive always had problems with my health and she’s always been my safety net but i need to do things on my own. of course, when im ready but we’ll save this for another time

background: the team is sent into a virtual reality simulator for a train for failure mission. meaning no matter what they do the mission will get worse. it’s all absolute worst case scenario.

coran and allura are members of the justice league that died

so theyre in the simulator right and theyre fighting off a HUGE army of galra soldier trying to get back to their lions

so theyre just all left to fight on their own 

but the thing is theyre doing well and theyre talking down these soldiers pretty well

 and then theyre all about to move on but keith is still a bit behind bc he’s killing off the last soldier. 

 then he thinks theyre all completely dead so he starts moving on

oh boy was he wrong. 

keith starts heading back to the group when lance turns around. 

 “KEITH BEHIND YOU”

a fucking galra comes up behind keith and blasts him causing him to basically disintegrate

lance: *wally voice* KEITH

shiro: get inside all of you. *kills the soldier*

lance: THEYRE DEAD. EVERY SINGLE GALRA. IF IT’S THE LAST THING I DO

cut to lance in his lion agonizingly screaming while punching the control panel of his lion

shiro: there will be time for mourning

lance in his lion: *continues having a complete fucking break down*

cut to the next part and coran comes out of nowhere

pidge: coran?? how are you here?? we watched you get disintegrated?

shiro: be careful it might be a trap.

lance: no it’s not! it’s really coran

this gives lance so much false hope

coran says he has something to tell them but he for the life of him cant remember bc his mind is so clouded

then lance says “that gun they shot them with doesnt kill, it teleports! keith is alive!”

everyone is kind of skeptical but lance goes “look coran’s alive! and he got hit with the same thing keith did! everyones alive they just got teleported inside the galra prison! keith is alive!... oh and so is allura”

then they carry on with the mission and all this hope is the only thing keeping lance going 

then shiro dies

but lance still has faith

then pidge dies.

but lance keeps telling them it’s fine theyre fine theyre with keith!

but pidge’s death is what finally clears up coran’s head enough to know one thing. that gun is not a teleportation ray. it kills. they cannot save them.

this is when lance really loses it.

lance: no! youre wrong! keith is alive! you being alive proves he’s alive! he’s-

hunk: stop it lance! ive been scanning for them ever since we got inside. theyre not here. keith is gone.

lance:

lance finally accepts keith is dead

but knows he still has to fight to defend the universe

it’s what keith would have wanted

then in battle hunk dies

the quietness of only his and lance’s thoughts is finally enough to clear coran’s head enough to remember why he came here

so he shocks lance into snapping out of it by killing him

then finally they all wake up

and lance is so happy to see keith is alive

well. happy to see all of them alive but oh god keith

allura explains to them that they were all in a virtual exercise but  what they didnt know is that it was a train for failure exercise. even though they didnt know exactly what it was they all knew it wasnt real, that’s why when allura and coran died they didnt mourn.

but everything changed when the fire nation attacked keith died

lance’s subconscious couldnt recognize the difference between reality and the simulator so when he watched keith die his emotions took over the whole simulator and fucked everything up thus causing everyone then forgot they were in a simulator.

convinced everyone so much this was actually real life that keith didnt wake up after he “died” and slipped into a coma

lance cant help but think this is all his fault. 

that’s when coran had to go in

lance was so in denial about keith’s death he was trying to fix up any reality where keith was still alive

thats why when coran came in to try to get them out of the simulator he forgot. lance’s emotions were to high strung and tampered with his memory

and also when coran came in it made everything worse bc it gave lance more hope that keith was alive

lance’s love for keith actually fucked everyone up and caused him to forget nothing was real

and lance has no idea what to say

but he still refuses to admit his feelings for keith
