A little late in the day but i made it!! (If ur in EST) enjoy some jank!! (Happy late bday jason!!)

Day 1: Jason Todd/Frank Castle (i.e. ‘jank’)

Jason frowns at the mirror in front of him. He stands, shirtless, tracing the myriad of scars littering his body, the largest of which is the neat ‘Y’ denoting exactly where the autopsy was performed when he died.

His face is generally unmarred, with a shirt on he almost looks his age. But the rest of it? Mottled, gnarled lumps of flesh that, on their own, barely even seem human. Shaking his head, he goes to reach for his shirt.

“Mornin’ gorgeous.”

A hand grasps his, and a warm body pushes up against his back. Frank grins at the two of them in the mirror.

“Some pretty badass marks.” He traces the ‘Y’ with slow fingers, winking. “F’r my pretty badass.”

Jason smiles and rolls his eyes.

“Sap.”

Word count: 128 (a little over but any less and id go insane !!!)

I remember reading through the prompt list when i was like yea ok i could do a short promptfill (hubrishubrishubris) & this prompt was one where i was like: welp, i don’t think i can do anything good with this so nah. i dont think i was even particularly enthused abt reading this concept at the time?!

and then the reality of this is so fucking good!!! the thread of beth’s exhibitionism & desire to be appreciated/seen + rio’s like curiosity/obsession & voyeurism, and the distinction in what’s allowed between the two scenarios...like yes!!! excellent!!! thank you!!!! and i absolutely love the rio pov & how narrow the focus of the story is

To be seen by @anijade for the prompt:  I want Beth and Rio doing the deed and getting caught by Reah. Maybe Beth notices but keeps going. Voyeurism

This story is T-rated AND super-sexy, which i think is very hard to achieve! and i LOVE this take on rhea, which feels v true to her canon characterisation. I love that she develops a friendship with annie!! i love how she’s kinda judgemental about but also intrigued by brio (V A L I D). i love how the voyeurism and exhibitionism play out through the outsider perspective from someone who has individual relationships with both rio and beth

salty sweet by @foxmagpie for the prompt:  Beth and Rio are secretly hooking up. Beth is blowing Rio in his office (bar? warehouse? au where he works in an office? idk) and when they’re interrupted, she continues secretly blowing him underneath the desk. exhibitionism, public sex

First of all? filling one’s own prompt? iconic behaviour. I TOLD YOU ALL TO DO THIS DID I NOT. this also filled a stray prompt from me which im also pro, ha. this fic has EXACTLY the kind of established relationship brio i live for - they’re so competitive AND playful, and clearly an absolute fucking nightmare to be around haaa. I love the way that this deftly wields the story of two related incidents and how one builds off the other. (also i personally think NO stories have enough brackets in, but this one at least came close.)

A Moment’s Silence by @femalegothic for the prompt:  Beth giving Rio sloppy head, Rio playing a bit rough. Deepthroat.

This story includes the prompt SUPER well but also there’s a lot more going on during their rendezvous, and the totality is super sexy with amazing build up. I love this glimpse into what could have been, and Beth and Rio’s characterisation feels super true to this kinda canon(+ divergence) point (sniff). i also LOVE how quickly the premise is set up (especially as someone whose own promptfill fell off the rails haha). also deciding: i do not wish to write about balls, therefore they do not exist is truly iconic behaviour

swear on a silver knife by @mego42 for the prompt:  Rio loves shaving Beth, especially her legs, with old fashioned tools. She returns the favour. Shaving kink, maybe little knife/razor play

At present time (though i may eat my words bc, you will note, it still says 1/7 on it........................) the shaving kink element isn’t necessarily the aspect of this story i’m most excited about. I’m so excited about this as an angsty post-s3 longfic!!! i love the way meg writes these idiots!!! and how she writes mick’s response hahah. i love mess!!! i love angst!!! i am pretty excited about the blades though & do hope beth & rio permanently shave each other’s throats off. points deducted for it still saying 1/7, but additional sympathy points added for going off the rails with a prompt so it probs evens out

i think that’s my personal top 5 but i honestly HONESTLY recommend checking all of them out cos they were all so good!!!
