“wait and see” is aven’s speech, him playing along the game (of life). “blank out” may refer to losing oneself in the dream, or to the death that aven was going for, or to sunday being lost in his dream of paradise, or when aven was hallucinating after getting harmony’d and sunday was watching the whole thing at the park. you and me 🥹

okay if aven’s singing this bit… who’s acting as the “savior” in penacony ? who’s using a dream to save the world… it could also be sunday himself wanting the dream to save the world, to find a way out of suffering; just like aven - rmb when “kakavasha” asked why he didn’t want the dream. they both wondered (wanted) the dream to save them. the point of penacony was that they could only save themselves, but before that one was poised as the savior, and one wanted to be taken away (from life). in another cracked interpretation, aven saying “you take me higher, take me away” could be referring to sunday’s mind-bamboozling him (higher) and threatening to mind-kill him (away).

(would aven have wanted sunday to give him death ? it was a game, a performance he was committed to until the end, so he wouldn’t have taken that death. still, the one thing sunday bluffed him with - death - was the one thing he wanted all along)

(sunday’s whole plan was specifically geared towards people full of despair like aven. people whose only reprieve was to indulge in the dream. those he wanted to save were those who would want a savior to take them away from their life of suffering… aka aven, who’s never stopped thinking of life as unjust)

y’know clockie in mikhail’s quest was referring to the trailblaze but it was also representing the harmony in sunday’s “present” play. who else is hosting a “magic show i cannot escape” ? this could be ena’s dream, or aven’s “game” (life he cannot escape), but also aven’s whole adventure with his past & future self - a “magic” show he cannot escape (which took place on a stage too !). and who was also responsible for that 🥹

“going to the other side” here refers aven’s death after his show. “nothing left to do” sounds like a last comment before he ends his journey. regarding saying farewell to one’s life… sunday would have ceased to be himself had his ascension completed. he would’ve just as much gone “to the other side”.

aven not wanting to be alone 🥹 and sunday about to be alone for eternity. i think they both desire company, with their past and the way they’ve had to grow up (and how much they love their family) (and the way they function, aven being the lone risk-taker and sunday having only himself in the oak family). “lead me with your altered sign” it was someone who’s supposed to “lead” but turned out to have a different affiliation altogether (order) ! it’s also as if aven was asking sunday to “lead” him while clearly knowing it was wrong - sorta mirroring how aven walked into the “execution”, essentially his first step to achieve “death”. it was a dance, sunday was “leading” but aven goaded him into it (come on). aven wanted to be “saved”, and that meant death.

“no one else left to lose” definitely aven, but sunday had also thought he had lost robin, so at some point he too had no one else left to lose. there was no one left - aven to find death, sunday to be the “lone star” as the world dreams.

wait a second… “you take me higher” could refer sunday as well ? like yeah it probably refers to the dream making ppl happy but also, sunday was rising to be god literally. it is the ppl’s suffering that pushed sunday, among other things, to become god. and the one singing “take me away”, wanting to be saved here is aven. “just be my savior” it’s like one’s asking to be saved, and the other rising to save the other 🥹

“sing it with me” referring the woes of people, the ppl sunday wanted to save, like aven. “bring me to the other side” aven seeking death, but also sunday seeking paradise as well, the world saved by the Order.

“best disguise” clearly aven here, it’s the show he put on, his gamble on that stage. his “grand performance” - which was his best disguise ? sure he bluffed tb good and got acheron to slash him, but his craftiest play was with sunday. aven putting on the most complicated trick to go against sunday, who never took him lightly and clashed with him no holds barred.

“i don’t need to know the truth” refers living a lie within the dream, but also tangent to aven’s blessing to obscure the truth (his true plan). sunday, being one who wanted to see and expose the truth, wished to bring a world that can take ppl away from the truth of their suffering (he would be the only one awake to know the truth). aven wanting his “truth” hidden away until he found death and be with his family again, no longer “alone”. if truth equals reality, it’s also him saying he doesn’t want such a life. both of them, rejecting reality 🥹

but also, aven not wanting to face his past and sunday making him see it 🥹 in a way he was able to say goodbye to “kakavasha”.

“let me rave forever in your lies” sunday and the lies/ dreams he weaved (and his bluffs !). this was also referring the dream, and it’s like aven asking to stay in the dream forever… but we know he doesn’t want to stay. his past is full of despair, and his own life is empty save for big meaningless gambles, he should want to be saved… but he doesn’t. aven, despite all his facades, knows the truth and would rather just die because his family isn’t there. sunday, for someone all about seeing and exposing the truth, was actually the one living and wanting to stay in the dream. the contrast in the contrast 🥹

the “god” who should have been the only one awake to the truth of the world, was the one in a dream all along. yet the dream he weaved was sweet, so sweet were the lies meant to save those most desperate for an escape. the one living a life of desperate struggle, most wanting of such reprieve, most used to masking the truth of his life… refused to be saved. his soul cried out for help, for his “savior” to take him away… but it’s all a lie. “god” could never truly save him, and he couldn’t truly be saved either. yet he sang anyway, and “god” will never stop wanting to save him.

and he sings, again and again, pulling sunday into it, come on, save me, let’s go, to the other side. and their dance continues, in this fantasy they’ve made, no past, no future. staying in the dream, an eternity of the present.
