Watcher (and why nothing matters anymore):
So, in case you've been locked away under a proverbial bridge for a few days, Internet personalities Steven Lim, Ryan Bergara, and Shane Madej (known as Watcher) have elected to begin their own streaming service and ditch YouTube.
On the surface, that mightn't even seem like news at all.
After all, this sort of thing seems to happen all the time: The Try Guys left Buzzfeed to create their own company, Rhett and Link took the dive and diversified into paywalled entertainment a few years back with Mythical Society. Both of which however still rely on YouTube itself to generate views on the main channels, which funnel viewers into a FOMO type situation where "you can't miss" a special airing on the app (Mythical Society) or Patreon (Try Guys).
Watcher, in its infinite wisdom (stupidity, carelessness, unparalleled greed - take your pick) has decided that YouTube is pointless, and has moved ALL their content behind a paywall, claiming that the service was amping up to provide "TV quality programming", leaving only old content and the first episodes of the new shows up on their YouTube page as a subtle tease as to what you could get for $6/month.
It's now quite apparent from reading the comments section of their (now infamous) YouTube video, their official subreddit, and the tag on X that the fans were...not thrilled. The fingers began to be pointed within minutes. Name calling soon after. Then this blossomed into dissertations on why this was a horrible idea.
Then we found out that there was no app. Just a website. So you're paying for website access. Not a full blown streaming service to rival Netflix. Oh, and they don't even have their own servers, the videos are hosted by Vimeo. The deeper the comments section dug, the nastier the attacks got. Steven soon became the whipping boy. His past, his interviews, scanned and mercurially dug up for juicy tidbits (although all anyone gleaned from these was he's rich, was born rich, drives a Tesla in LA, likes fancy food, and has friends whom he values who are racist and possibly sexist and will not sever ties with them).
Then came the cries of incongruity. Shane Madej repeatedly said to "Eat the Rich", and here he was schilling for a platform that cost $6 a month. The cries began to pirate all of the new Watcher content because maybe he was under duress and was secretly telling them to do so. Fact is, I don't know if he was or what, but I'm certain he's under contract and wants his job.
Then came the videos from other internet users analyzing the video, and comparing this to the Try Guys situation with Ned a few months back. Both are disasters, each in unique ways with different players, and such like but here's the vast difference: none of this will even matter in a month.
Let me explain: We are in the total free fall stage of Watcher's Internet Streamer Service. What they do in the next 24-48 hours is crucial. If they revert back to their YouTube channel and apologize, they'll be fine. People will probably poke fun at them, but they'll be forgiven, eventually. But if they don't and they keep on, ignoring the fans, dousing the haters, and make it a month, I doubt we will see any resistance outside of a terse article or two.
Why? The collective memory span in this day and age is extremely short, many have likely already made judgment in their head and have passed said judgment. Therefore, they'll avoid the channel, and the streamer and will be blissfully unaware of any changes. Those who have joined up and paid will remain members, and those who have elected to remain subscribed will likely remain so and will watch the free content until they can afford the $6/month.
The thing is like it or hate it, if they decide to do nothing and ignore the public at large, they most likely will be fine. Maybe they will not have the hugest subscriber base, but people will forget about this. Something else major that is more salacious will spring up in the months ahead. Will there be lingering anger? Sure, but like I said before, these people have already passed judgment so they're already gone.
In an era of "nothing fucking matters" when your choices are sometimes entirely out of your direct control and are (at best) two sides of the same coin, it should be of absolutely no surprise to anyone that there is a fairly good possibility even after all that has transpired that nothing bad will happen. Lest we forget that old adage: "there is no such thing as bad PR".
Personally, I feel $6 is a tad much for a non-app based web streamer with little to no content. It was disingenuous to announce its launch internationally where even more people can't afford it, and some can't even view it. Steven wasn't upfront with who was in charge and now it really does seem like he's using the subscriptions to fund his international gallivanting. It's clear nobody wanted TV-show quality Ghost Files to take place in another country, nor did they want an old show revived with votes when you pay the first month's dues. They say it's a case of Watcher "not reading the room".

AI Can't Be the Whole Solution for Manga
So this week I found out out a Japanese start-up called Orange, who wants to be the Netflix of manga by translating a lot of manga with new apps and tools for the world to fight against online piracy. And to do so, the company will use AI to machine translate all of their manga into English. They also received $20 million USD in funding (one of their investors is Shogakukan) for their goal. This company wants to release up to 500 titles a month at some point.
I honestly don't know how to feel about this.
I read a more in-depth report from Deb Aoki of ComicsBeat and Mangasplaining about this whole startup. There's a lot of tout given by Orange about how this will help the manga industry overseas. Terms like deep learning, accessible content, influencers, reducing cost of localization, etc. are thrown around. Orange already has done some work for Shueisha for some of its MangaPlus titles. While it's apparent that the North American market only gets a small fraction of the manga published in Japan, there's concerns over whether this endeavor will end well.
A good number of manga translators and editors in the North American localization scene have commented on how bad this can be. AI machine translation is far from perfect. While DeepL (a Japanese language translation app similar to Google Translate) is arguably better than Google Translate, there's still errors abound. AI machine translation doesn't seem to be at a stage where you can just show it off to the world and have it translate something like a research paper with context. And even if the translation was good, there still needs to be people to fix errors AI will miss and the jobs to fix those errors don't necessarily pay well since they're the equivalent of "data entry" jobs.
And speaking as someone who reads up on mental health news, AI is not good for picking up nuances and differences that can help people for the better. It's only good for standardizing universal treatments. AI can not be open to the vulnerabilities of other people. One recent story I read last year was about a eating disorder helpline that created a chatbot to help those with eating disorders and how it bombed. There were complaints about how the bot didn't address patients' concerns that they were feeling down or bad about their bodies. Even worse, the chatbot gave some horrible advice by telling people to follow behaviors that led to their eating disorders in the first place. The support staff was fired in favor of the chatbot and while the chatbot was taken down after the complaints, it still left a bad taste in my mouth because mental health problems can never be solved without the human element.
I see this with what's apparently going to happen with manga. I don't see this creating a better world for manga readers. I'm well aware that there are a few professional manga translators in the scene who aren't doing a good job, but I feel they're doing fine for the most part. There's a glaring issue though that most people aren't thinking about - the amount of content we have out there.
We're in a golden age of having so much catered to us that it's ridiculous. Anime, manga, webtoons, video games, board games, music, etc. There's a lot out there. And to have a Japanese startup proclaim that they want to put out up to 500 titles a month, who realistically has the time to read all of them? I wonder if that's the point of these ventures - beat down consumers with so much material to consume that they become apathetic to what's going on behind the scenes.
I do want people to read manga, but I don't want them to become so overwhelmed to the point of burnout and numbness. That's the last thing any manga fan should want. I'm already hearing complaints from my fellow manga peers about the amount of manga we're getting here. It's nice to see bookshelves and libraries filled with manga, but which titles are really being read?
I also think there seems to be no universal standard that EVERYONE can agree with regards to localization. You have the professional side that knows a lot due to being inside the industry, but can be hindered by the Japanese publishing side and pestered by fans who think they know better. And you have the fan side that thinks they know everything because of scanlations and miscellaneous fan translations.
If you're a professional, it's a rough job and I applaud all manga freelancers who do it. Sometimes, I may not agree with the localization choices. But I'm not going to raise a pitchfork and treat them like they're witches. I know a few of those folks in-person and see the human in them.
If you're a fan, you can't expect a very casual reader to understand Japanese terms being spoken out right off the bat. It takes a while to get used to those terms. I'll use myself as an example as a riichi mahjong player. I throw out terms like suji, kabe, mentanpin, ryanmen, etc. to my fellow players. However, if there's an absolute beginner I'm talking to, they will have no idea what the hell I'm talking about.
I know some fans are like "Whatever, understanding those terms make me stand out. Yeah, I'm different! Screw the normal world!" But that makes it sound like gatekeeping to a certain degree. It's fine to have that kind of knowledge, but binding it to the very fabric of your identity is not healthy when circumstances change.
Orange seems to want a universal standard for manga translation by incorporating a variety of people into their process, but the fact that people will only be involved AFTER the translation makes me skeptical and the company is being called out for some things on their website. Both professionals and consumers will be screwed here. AI is being pushed so hard by corporations because it can readily applied to real life jobs and regular people in many ways, compared to cryptocurrency/NFTs, which applies only to people with a crap ton of money to spend. I've seen instances of AI usage at the company I work at - some of it good, some of it bad.
But nothing will beat the will and heart of the people. I think that's what scares AI-promoting people. Turning us into total mindless consumers prevents us from being mindful people that want to do right by others. Sure, reading manga makes me happy. But I don't want to be the only one who's happy. I also want people to make informed choices about what to consume.
I also want some people to stop assuming that Japan is the most "anti-woke" country alive out of their rage against localization because it's totally not. Japan has problems and there's people living there speaking out against them. They're "woke" in their own way. I swear that almost everyone who thinks Japan is better than the West hasn't lived there at all and are basing things from a very filtered point of view. I actually feel sorry for them because their lives are just so focused on consuming without thinking for themselves - a perfect market for the AI-pushing crowd.
I'll finish by saying that this AI-powered manga translation venture needs to happen with the right kind of people already on the table through the whole process and where everyone benefits. Everything bad with AI, as far as I've seen, has left people behind with no compassion or empathy. Manga has taught the wonders of compassion and empathy for all and I don't see the Japanese business side of things preaching what their works speak.

How Amazon transformed the EU into a planned economy
Tumblr media
Amazon is a perfect parable of enshittification, the process by which platforms first offer subsidies to end users until they’re locked in, then make life good for business customers at users’ expense, until they’re locked in, then claw back all the value they can for themselves, leaving just enough behind to keep the lock-in going.
In a new report for SOMO, Margarida Silva describes how the end-stage enshittification of Amazon is playing out in the EU, with Amazon repeating its US playbook of gouging the small businesses who have no choice but to use the platform in order to reach its locked-in customers, making European customers and European sellers poorer:
https://www.somo.nl/amazons-european-chokehold/
The mechanism for this isn’t a mystery. Amazon boasts about it! They call it their flywheel: first, customers are lured into the platform with low prices, especially through Prime, which requires pre-payment for a year’s shipping, which virtually guarantees that customers will start their shopping on Amazon. Because customers now start their buying on Amazon, sellers have to be there. The increased range of goods for sale on Amazon lures in more buyers, who lure in more sellers, with both sides holding each other hostage:
https://vimeo.com/739486256/00a0a7379a
This flywheel creates a vicious cycle, starving local retail so that customers can’t get what they need from brick-and-mortar shops, which funnels sellers into offering their goods for sale on Amazon. The less choice customers and sellers have about where they shop, the more Amazon can abuse both to pad its own bottom line.
There are 800,000 EU-based sellers on Amazon, and they have seen the junk-fees that Amazon charges them skyrocket, to the point where they have to raise prices or lose money on each sale. Amazon uses both tacit and explicit “Most Favored Nation” deals to hide these price-hikes. Under an MFN deal, sellers must not allow their goods to be sold at a lower price than Amazon’s — so when they raise prices to cover Amazon’s increasing fees, they raise them everywhere:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/04/25/greedflation/
It’s not hard to understand why Amazon would raise its fees: the company has an effective e-commerce monopoly. Like Ozymandias, they have run out of worlds to conquer, and so their growth has to come from squeezing suppliers and/or raising prices, not from bringing in new customers. This is likewise true of mobile companies like Apple and Google, who have run out of people who are so excited about incremental mobile hardware gains that they’ll buy a new phone every year, which means that growth has to come from squeezing app vendors:
https://www.tbray.org/ongoing/When/202x/2023/06/09/Pixel-4-to-7
This is likewise true of the streaming companies, which is why Netflix is cracking down on “password sharing”:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/02/02/nonbinary-families/#red-envelopes
It’s true of the movie studios, which is why they want to zero out their wage bills by replacing writers with automatic plausible sentence generators that will write stupid movies that they think we’ll still pay to see because there won’t be anything else:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/05/06/people-are-not-disposable/#union-strong
It’s certainly true of Uber, which is why they’ve double the cost of a taxi ride and halved the wages they pay drivers:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/04/12/algorithmic-wage-discrimination/#fishers-of-men
Monopolies “grow” by making their customers and suppliers worse off. But they have to be careful about this: if it’s obvious that you’re using your market power to screw buyers, you can get in trouble with competition regulators. That’s because the only part of antitrust law that the neoliberal project left intact is “consumer welfare” — the idea that monopolies should only face enforcement when they raise prices and/or lower quality:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/10/10/play-fair/#bedoya
This focus on price-hikes has given monopolists a free hand to squeeze suppliers and workers, because a monopolist — from Walmart to Amazon — can claim that squeezing your workers and suppliers is necessary to enhancing consumer welfare. The less you pay to produce a product, the cheaper you can price it.
When a company has a lot of seller power, we call it a monopolist. When it has a lot of buying power, we call it a monopsonist. No one ever made a bestselling, family-destroying board game called “Monopsony” so most people haven’t heard of the concept. But monopsony is every bit as dangerous as monopoly, and monopsonists find it far easier to acquire market power than monopolists. Few suppliers can afford to have even 10% of their sales disappear overnight, so a buyer who accounts for 10% of your sales can demand deep discounts and other favorable terms.
Amazon is a monopolist, but it’s also a very powerful and ruthless monopsonist. For example, its audiobook division, Audible, has a 90+% market-share, and it used that market-power to steal at least $100m from audiobook creators, in a scandal dubbed Audiblegate:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/09/07/audible-exclusive/#audiblegate
For Europe’s 800k sellers who rely on Amazon to reach their customers, the monoposony conditions are blatant and shameless. Take listing fees: Amazon’s “flywheel” pitch claims that as the company grows, it achieves “economies of scale” that can lower its cost basis. But Amazon’s listing fees haven’t changed, even as the company experienced explosive growth in the EU (remember, sellers whose Amazon fees exceed their margins have to pass those fees onto buyers, and also raise their prices everywhere else to satisfy the Most Favored Nation requirement).
Amazon books the revenues from these fees — and other junk-fees it extracts from sellers — in Luxembourg, an EU member nation that provides a tax haven to multinational businesses that want to maintain the fiction that they operate their businesses out of the tiny kingdom. There is sharp competition in the EU to offer the most servile, corrupt environment for multinationals, and Luxembourg is a leader, along with Cyprus, Malta and, of course, Ireland:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/05/15/finnegans-snooze/#dirty-old-town
But at least listing fees haven’t gone up, unlike other fees, which have climbed sharply. Amazon falsely claimed that its additional revenues from fees were the result of growth by independent sellers, which Amazon pegged at 65%. Later, the company admitted that the true growth figure was 22%. Meanwhile, fees are up 85%.
The true growth figure might be lower still. Amazon refuses to show the math behind its growth figures, or even say which sellers and sales are included in the figure.
The SOMO report cites research by Juozas Kaziukėnas of the e-commerce research firm Marketplace Pulse, who finds that sellers are now giving 50% of their gross revenues to Amazon, an increase of 10% over the past five years across the whole EU. However, different EU (and ex-EU) countries have experienced much steeper increases in fees — in the UK, fees have nearly doubled (up 98%), and in France, fees more than doubled (up 115%).
Many of these increases come from the Fulfilment By Amazon (FBA) program, which is promoted as an optional service, but which is really obligatory — careful research shows that sellers who warehouse, pack and ship their own goods get banished to the depths of search results, even if they have ratings, costs and times that are competitive with FBA. This is especially true of the “buy box” that lands at the top of most searches. The company refuses to disclose how buy box positioning is determined, but 90% of products in the buy box pay for FBA.
Amazon has used excuseflation to hike its FBA prices, blaming higher energy prices for price hikes that predated the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and blaming covid for price hikes that predated the pandemic.
Italy’s competition authority did yeoman service in uncovering the sleaze of FBA, publishing an investigation that showed that Prime and buy box made the notionally “optional” FBA into a must-have for merchants, meaning that Amazon could jack up FBA prices without losing business.
Another notable source of gouging came in response to the UK and France adopting digital services taxes, which were meant to make up for the tax-base erosion enabled by Luxembourg’s flouting of EU tax law. Amazon passed these taxes straight through to its merchants, without seeing a comparable decrease in the number of sellers using its platforms — an unmistakable sign of market power. If you can raise prices without losing customers, then, by definition, your customers have nowhere else to go.
I’ve previously written about how Amazon’s $31b/year “advertising” market isn’t really advertising — rather, it’s a payola scheme that auctions off the top of a search-listing to the merchant with the most to spend:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/11/28/enshittification/#relentless-payola
This is how you get a simple search like “cat beds” returning results whose first screen is 100% ads, and whose next five screens are 50% ads, many of them for dog products:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/interactive/2022/amazon-shopping-ads/
Auctioning off search results means that every time you search for something you want, you have to wade through screen after screen of listings for products whose vendors spent more on advertising, leaving less to spend on making quality goods.
This is as true in the EU as it is in the USA. The SOMO report shows that European merchants are required to spend ever-larger sums to show up in results for the exact products they sell, leaving them with a choice between making less money, raising prices, or skimping on quality.
But even the “winners” of Amazon’s gladiatorial combat among vendors can still lose. Amazon uses an automated product removal process that can delete some or all of a merchant’s products, without warning or explanation, and no one at Amazon will explain what a merchant did wrong. That remains true even if a vendor pays for Amazon’s “marketplace consultant” service — ask these paid Virgils why you’ve been cast into Amazon’s pit, and they’ll shrug their shoulders (and bill you for it).
And even if you can navigate the junk fees, the Kafka-as-a-service removals, the war of all sellers against all sellers for search primacy…you still lose. Merchants told SOMO that a product that survives Amazon’s gauntlet is likely to be cloned by Amazon and sold as an Amazon Basic or other house-brand product. Amazon doesn’t charge itself 50% junk fees, so it can always underprice the vendors it knocks off, and give its own products permanent top-of-search placement.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos once testified under oath before Congress that this doesn’t happen — and then refused to return to Congress when multiple vendors showed evidence that he’d lied:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2021/10/18/amazon-congress-letter-third-party-data/
He definitely lied:
https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/amazon-india-rigging/
Amazon has faced investigations and enforcement in the EU over this, and settled a claim with a promise to “not use non-public seller data to compete with sellers,” but given the company’s record of broken promises on this score and the difficulty of catching them cheating, it’s pretty naive to think they’ll stick to this.
The report quotes Thomas Höppner, a lawyer who has represented small businesses that Amazon screwed over. Höppner says the problem is that the EU evaluates Amazon’s bad deeds on a “case-by-case” basis, missing the big picture: “By the time one identified problem was seemingly solved, Amazon had long made amendments elsewhere with the same effect. We require a more holistic approach that considers the entire Amazon ecosystem and the various interdependencies within.”
But the EU’s enforcement approach is about to change significantly. The EU just passed the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which imposes a bunch of obligations on Amazon:
allowing sellers to offer their products on other marketplaces at different prices (Article 5.3),
not obliging business users to pay for one of its services in order to use its platform (Article 5.8),
limiting the way Amazon uses non-public seller data to compete with them (Article 6.2)
preventing Amazon from giving top billing in search results to its own products or sellers that have acquired extra Amazon services (Article 6.5)
The report concludes with a suite of recommendations for improving EU enforcement. First, they argue for a return to traditional competition law, abandoning the “consumer welfare standard” that is so friendly to monopsonies and their abuses of suppliers and workers.
They call for a probe into Amazon’s Most Favored Nation deals (“fair pricing policy”), the practice of sponsoring search results, and spiraling fees. They want the EU to adequately fund DMA enforcement, with “measures to prevent regulatory capture.” And they want Amazon to publish clear explanations for how search results, buy box placement, and other practices hidden behind a veil of secrecy.
Amazon will doubtless claim that disclosing how those systems work will make it easier for spammers and scammers to game their way to the top of search results. We should be skeptical of this claim — content moderation is the last domain where anyone takes the bankrupt idea of security through obscurity seriously:
https://doctorow.medium.com/como-is-infosec-307f87004563
Finally, the report calls for breaking up Amazon, forcing it to choose between being a platform seller or a platform user, calling this the only way to “prevent the conflicts of interest between its role as a platform intermediary, seller, and service provider.”
The technical term for this measure is “structural separation” — a rule that bans platform companies from competing with their business customers. This is the principle at work in the US bipartisan AMERICA Act, which would force Google and Meta to spin off the parts of their ad-tech business that put them in a conflict of interest. Right now, Googbook represents both publishers and advertisers, while operating the marketplace where ad sales take place, and they take 51% out of every ad dollar:
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2023/05/save-news-we-must-shatter-ad-tech
Structural separation hasn’t really been applied in the US for a generation, but it’s gained currency in recent years, for the obvious reason that the referee can’t also own one of the teams. I was in Germany last week speaking to regulators and politicians, and they espoused skepticism that the EU would embrace structural separation anytime soon.
But they were wrong! Today, the European Commission announced plans to force Google and Meta to sell off their conflict-of-interest ad-tech lines of business, mirroring the provisions of the US AMERICA Act:
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/06/google-may-soon-be-ordered-to-break-up-its-lucrative-ad-business-eu-warns/
Structural separation really is the policy we should be demanding. It’s amazing that lawyers who would never argue a case in front of a judge who was married to the plaintiff will turn around and defend the idea that Amazon can fairly operate a marketplace where they compete with other sellers.
With Amazon dominating online sales, and with in-person retail cratering, Amazon’s decisions have the power to determine the outcome of whole swathes of Europe’s economy. This is the “planned economy” that the EU claims it detests and seeks to prevent — but it’s an economy planned by distant autocrats in a Seattle boardroom, for the purpose of extracting the surpluses needed to launch an endless procession of penis-rockets.

Note
I enjoyed the first episode of Season 4 of Walker, it's no peak SPN but it's grown into itself. I'm not an avid watcher but it's easy TV and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
So my question is, what number of viewers need to be on live and +7 for it to stay on air and with what demographic?
The live figures and demographic seemed to be falling, but that is the same for all CW shows.
Are you still expecting an announcement of an extended series announcement?
FYI, there is a picture of Jensen in Vancouver having dinner with some of the cast of Watcher, so the rumour is yet another guest star gig is on the cards...
With over 50% of total (legal) TV viewers in U.S are now online and catch-up services, Live TV viewers are only a small chunk of what advertisers use. Live TV viewings do matter, but the networks also look at how a show does in DVR (up to 35 days post-airing usually) and on streaming. Part of the reason why CW created the CW app was so they could get better user data, and optimize their content based on that (similar to the OG Netflix model), so it would make sense if they put less weight on Live TV viewership, as the OG CW had already done.  If one person watches twice on CW app then they would be counted as two content starts.   And if one person watched the full 40 min duration twice then they would have contributed 80 minutes of viewing to the show.  But if you want to a reach of unique non-duplicated viewers for a certain show, they’d be counted once.   There are a lot of different metrics but multiple viewings factor into plenty of them.  Same for actual true for linear tv - if you watch something on a dvr more than once they are all counted. It’d be cool if these streaming numbers were released, but unfortunately that’s a much less transparent process than Live TV, so non-industry people still base their ratings knowledge off of that.
The Nielsen ratings are still used and still matters and it helps that there’s industry transparency. Linear tv still sells mostly on C3 (commercial viewing live + 3 days). But networks will track digital viewing within the US.  There's a lot of metrics to measure “success” on digital platforms beyond viewership - how many new subscribers it brought in, if they stayed to watch other things, how long they spend on the platform, etc
Of course CW app doesn't have subscribers but downloads. On Valentines Day CW app officially crossed 100 million downloads across all platforms and was #1 in the Apple App Store for 3 consecutive years during fall premieres.
The rule of thumb is if an app has 10 million downloads, on average 30% of downloads are active.  So CW app has 100 million downloads, 30% are active, and a total of 30 million active users.  With ads, it's easy money for the network.
For context.
Peacock = 31 million subscribers
Paramount = 37 million subscribers
Max = 98 million subscribers
Disney = 111 million subscribers
Netflix = 260 million subscribers
Of the Big 5's subscribers, we don't know the percentage of active watchers.  But streaming services actually prefer that you don't watch because that costs bandwidth.  Just like gyms make their money from memberships where most members don't go to the gym regularly.
At this point no, I don't expect series extension announcement. The whole industry is going, as they say in business downsizing, restructuring.
I said in another post, never say never to the idea of Jensen scoring a guest star gig on Tracker.

You and Sraxxze go to the library, the library pretty big but you notice the not so many people there.
“Long time ago, many people used go to here but now. They only use the technical thing most. You know there has Disney +, Hulu and Netflix. And they have book app, so they don’t need come here the library. In your time, did people go the library?” Sraxxze said, “well yeah. People use most technical thing too because they have books on line in the phone, computer and ipad.” You said, “maybe the technical is good thing but it could cause addiction of the technical. Me, I must use the technical things for school, they haven’t the paper work, I use the laptop for the school, I have some assignments in the school online.” They said, we enter the library, i look around the library and you notice the pretty old bot are put the books on the bookshelf. I wonder off around of the library and I look upon and it glass windows on top roof of library.
“Come here!” Sraxxze shouted and wave at me, I looked to them and come to them. Sraxxze sit on the chair and
Typing on the Computer to unlock the password. Then they click the website and google is “travel time place”
And pop up the travel time that tell you where the place. “Travel time is really exist?” I asked, I look at the computer screen. “Yes. Why? Did it don’t exist in your time?” They asked, you shake your head “nope. It said it impossible.” I answered, they nodded their heads then turned back to computer screens and click the website and it tell you where. I wonder is travel time is cost money? “Is travel time is cost money if you want go back to time?” I asked, they answered my question, “well yes, it 1 million for one travel time.” He said, “but how we go to the travel time place? Bring 1 million dollars for this?” You asked again, “don’t worried, I know who could let us to enter travel time.” They said, “who it is?” You asked again, “well she is bot and she is work as junior in the travel time, her name is koko.” They said, “so you guys are friends?” I asked, “yes, we used play game Fortnite if koko have free time.”they said. You wonder.. the bot turtle is based on teenager mutant ninja turtles..? “Hey.. I wonder.. the bot turtles that you said I can’t trust them but.. i want ask, do they based on the ninja turtles?” You asked, Sraxxze turns look at me, and their hand lay on their chin and thinks. Silent for few minutes then finally they respond “I think you mean teenage mutant ninja turtles it old cartoons, they stopped making and they being forgotten in the 3000s. I don’t mean offend you if it is your favorite shows or movie. I don’t know why they stop made this. But the bot turtles.. well yes they look like them. Maybe their creator created them as based on of teenager mutant ninja turtles.” They said. You want know who their creator is. “Who is their creator?” You ask. “Well let gimme show you.” They said, turn to the computer screen and click the news on the website and he clicks the link “the mostly famous tech scientist in the world” and you see the picture of creator and his Bot turtles, the creator look like 30 year old and he wear the glasses and his hair color is pretty peach red and he smile. Rest all of bot turtles is silent like not so smile. You noticed it only three bot turtles, you feel something is missed one. Sraxxze respond me, “the creator name is Winslow scarlet but someone called him, Dr.Scarlet. He is tech scientist and he are first successful the robots, travel time, and many things.” They said, “is he evil scientist?” You asked, “what no-“ you interrupted them “then why I should don’t trust bot turtles if their creator is not evil?” You said and crossed my arms and glare at Sraxxze. Sraxxze is sighing and respond to you “well.. you see-“ interrupted by the door open really quickly and loudly. You and Sraxxze turned to front door of the library, it the bot turtle ? It look like short bot turtle and he look like Mikey. “Hello, I am here for Y/N! I heard Y/N is not being here in the time!” Short bot turtle said.

we give too much credit to youtbers for knowing what "making business" is.
Mark was able to see something in the business model of Honey (and many other apps) that other youtubers didn't: The implicit low ethics of startups.
Businesses like a car wash, a restaruant, a stationery, must mantain constant growth. the revenue is little compared to expenses. as the business becmes established revenue increses on a bigger pace than expenses.
Startups try to have exponential growth, cut as much as possible of costs and have massive revenues.
If you're smart and have spent time in startup circles you'll notice startups are pretty much almost a scam. Get a bunch of money from investors, create an easy-to-make product, and hope you make it before you go bakrupt.
Netflix, Uber, Doordash all started like that and they are the lucky survivors of a system that has the survival rate of the permian extinction. And even now they're still on the tight rope.
Thus, the fable tells itself. Instead of a solid product what startups sell is the skeleton of a product that is easy to make use. In stripping the product of its necessary parts, quality controls and efectiveness are sacrificed.
We can see this in the BetterHelp controversy. Anyone that's been to therapy could tell you that therapy on an app is probably a bad idea. But most of these YTbers had never been to therapy, so the inner workings of it were unknown to them. The makers of the app, similarly had never been in therapy ans assumed it could be easily replicated.
When the lid blew on Betterhelp, many youtubers disavowed it with the apology of "I didn't know what I was selling" because again, they live under the assumption that no one would be going to a youtber to sell snake oil. But as we all know the youtbe ecosystem is the perfect gateway to sell snake oil.
Why? because most youtbers are just passionate people video-recording this passion that were lucky enough to get poluar and get paid. In all of this you'll notice there is no thought put into managing costs, attracting customers, scheduling things.
Anyone who would've read a serious book on enterpreneurship would've been able to see what Mark saw. which I guess is my takeaway from all this. Read a couple of books on how to start a business and that'll be enough knowledge to discern a scam like Honey from a regular online buisness. Maybe not even that, just dig on the internet and if they're shady, the dirt won't be hard to find.
Markiplier not partnering with Honey because he didn't understand how its business model was profitable with how much it spent on advertising demonstrates a level of thoughtfulness that seems absent in a lot of youtubers.

Build an App Like Netflix: Your Guide to Launching a Custom OTT Platform
In today’s fast-paced digital world, streaming content has become a part of daily life. Platforms like Netflix have redefined how we consume entertainment — and they've also inspired a new wave of entrepreneurs. If you’ve ever thought, "I want to build an app like Netflix", you’re not alone.
The good news? Building an app isn’t reserved for large tech companies anymore. With the right tools and strategies, even a small team can develop a feature-rich OTT (Over-the-Top) streaming platform that competes in the content game.
Tumblr media
Why Build an App Like Netflix?
When people search for "build an app", they’re often looking for a blueprint to replicate success — and Netflix is a top-tier example. Its global popularity comes from a mix of smart technology, personalized content, and smooth user experience.
Replicating this model gives you a powerful head start:
On-demand video playback
User profiles and watch history
Subscriptions and monetization
Smart recommendations and search filters
But the true advantage lies in creating a custom experience for a specific niche — whether that’s fitness, education, regional films, or kids’ entertainment.
Key Features to Include When You Build an App
If you’re developing a streaming platform inspired by Netflix, focus on these core features:
Responsive Design for mobile, desktop, and smart TVs
Content Management System (CMS) to upload and organize videos
Secure Payment Integration for subscriptions or pay-per-view
User Profiles and Playlists for personalization
AI-Powered Recommendations to boost engagement
Analytics Dashboard for viewer behavior and performance insights
These features ensure users enjoy a seamless viewing experience while giving you control over content and growth.
Tools and Frameworks to Consider
You don’t have to start from zero. There are development frameworks and pre-built Netflix clone scripts that provide a solid foundation. These scripts come with front-end and back-end architecture, admin panels, database connections, and scalability built in.
Using a ready-made solution lets you focus on branding, content curation, and user engagement — not infrastructure.
Who Can Benefit from Building a Streaming App?
You might think streaming is only for big players, but it’s increasingly becoming a playground for:
Indie filmmakers and studios creating niche content
Educators and coaches offering online courses
Local media houses going digital
Fitness trainers providing subscription-based workout videos
Event organizers sharing replays and live sessions
No matter your industry, building an app gives you a platform to reach users directly — without relying on third-party streaming sites.
Cost and Timeframe: What to Expect
Developing a Netflix-style app from scratch can take months or even years. But using a pre-built clone script or customizable template can cut development time significantly — sometimes down to just a few weeks.
Cost depends on your feature set, customizations, and whether you build in-house or outsource development. Hosting, content storage, app store publishing, and licensing are other factors to budget for.
Final Thoughts
If you're planning to build an app in 2025, launching your own OTT streaming service could be a smart and timely move. Whether you’re passionate about storytelling, education, or live events, the demand for high-quality streaming platforms isn’t going away anytime soon.
The key is to focus on delivering value to your audience — with intuitive design, relevant content, and seamless playback. Starting with a Netflix clone framework helps bring that vision to life faster.

Crafting a Winning Business Plan for Your Netflix-Like OTT App
Tumblr media
Are you ready to create your own app like Netflix? This detailed guide lays out a clear roadmap to help you build a powerful and scalable OTT platform from the ground up. Whether you’re an ambitious entrepreneur, content creator, or media company, launching your own streaming platform is more achievable than ever in today’s digital age.
In just 8 strategic steps, we’ll walk you through how to define your niche, gather or create content, choose a monetization strategy, and use a Netflix clone to dramatically cut down development time and cost. This guide also highlights how modern tools can help you integrate secure payments, build engaging interfaces, and offer high-quality live streaming and on-demand content—just like the world’s top OTT platforms.
By the end, you’ll not only understand how giants like Netflix built their success, but also how you can replicate it using customizable and ready-to-launch solutions from trusted providers like Miracuves.
✅ Step 1: Identify Your Audience and Content Focus
Success starts with specificity. Before building your platform, pinpoint your target audience and the type of content you’ll deliver. Like Netflix in its early days, starting with a focused niche gives you a strategic advantage.
Ask yourself:
Are you offering niche genres like fitness, documentaries, or anime?
Will your content be local, international, or language-specific?
Will you support on-demand, live streaming, or both?
Answering these will shape your technology choices, UI/UX, and content acquisition plan.
✅ Step 2: Decide on Your Monetization Model
To generate revenue, your OTT platform needs a clear payment strategy. Here are the most common models:
SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand): Recurring monthly/annual payments for unlimited access.
AVOD (Ad-based Video on Demand): Free content supported by advertising revenue.
TVOD (Transactional Video on Demand): Pay-per-view access for individual shows or films.
You can also consider a hybrid approach, blending subscription packages with premium one-time payments to cater to a broader user base.
✅ Step 3: Acquire or Produce Quality Content
Content is the heart of your streaming platform. You can either:
License content from distributors, producers, or creators.
Develop original content to set your brand apart and build loyalty.
Just like Netflix gained massive traction with originals like Stranger Things, your unique or exclusive content could become your competitive edge. Many Netflix clone solutions come with built-in content management tools to make this process seamless.
✅ Step 4: Build with a Netflix Clone Solution
Developing a streaming app from scratch can be time-consuming and expensive. Instead, a customizable Netflix clone from providers like Miracuves allows you to fast-track your launch.
Top Netflix clone features include:
Web and mobile app (iOS, Android) deployment
User account management and watch history
Secure payment integrations
Admin dashboard and analytics
Powerful CMS to manage videos
High-speed live streaming and VOD delivery with CDN support
This approach gives you a professionally designed and fully functional OTT platform—without months of development.
✅ Step 5: Choose Robust and Scalable Infrastructure
To handle user traffic and deliver smooth streaming, you need cloud-based hosting that can scale. Platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure offer the performance, reliability, and global reach you need.
Key infrastructure features:
Adaptive bitrate streaming
Global CDN (Content Delivery Network) integration
Real-time encoding for live streaming
99.9% uptime
A dependable backend ensures a seamless experience for viewers—even during peak hours.
✅ Step 6: Focus on Exceptional User Experience
A user-friendly interface is crucial to retaining users. Take cues from Netflix’s minimal and intuitive design. Your platform should offer:
Mobile-first, responsive layout
Easy browsing and advanced filtering
Personalized content recommendations
User watchlists and viewing history
Many Netflix clone apps include customizable front-end themes to align the design with your brand.
✅ Step 7: Launch Across Web, Mobile & Smart TVs
Viewers today expect content access on any device. Ensure your app supports:
Web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.)
iOS and Android mobile apps
Smart TVs and OTT devices like Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV
Cross-platform availability increases engagement and user retention by allowing seamless switching between devices.
✅ Step 8: Market, Analyze & Optimize
Once your streaming platform is live, the real work begins—growth. Focus on promoting and refining your app using:
SEO and blog content
Social media marketing
Influencer campaigns
Email and retargeting ads
Leverage the analytics tools included in most Netflix clone platforms to track:
Viewer behavior
Top-performing content
Subscription trends and churn rates
This insight helps you adapt your content and marketing strategy for continuous growth.
🚀 Final Thoughts
Building a successful app like Netflix is entirely within reach when you use the right strategy and tools. A ready-made Netflix clone from Miracuves offers everything you need—from scalable infrastructure and engaging UI to powerful monetization and content tools.
With the OTT industry continuing to expand, there’s a growing opportunity to launch niche or large-scale video streaming platforms tailored to your audience. Whether you're starting small or aiming big, this 8-step blueprint can help you build a profitable, long-lasting digital entertainment business.

Why Should You Choose Node.js for Your Next Web App?
Tumblr media
Why Should You Choose Node.js for Your Next Web App? In today’s fast-paced digital world, organizations are always looking for ways to gain speed, scalability, and cost efficiency from new technologies. You can count on Node.js to deliver on these fronts. Whether you are launching your startup product, or rebuilding an enterprise-level application, Node.js is a powerful platform for building modern web apps.
But what makes Node.js so unique? And what are the benefits to you of hiring a team of Nodejs development services to help with your next project?
Let's take a closer look.
1. Speed and Performance at Its Very Core:
Node.js is built on Google's V8 JavaScript engine that compiles JavaScript into machine code. So this virtually translates to very fast execution. It allows you to build web applications or mobile apps that have high-speed data processing - like chat applications, media-streaming apps, and real-time dashboards. Node.js offers speed and performance for heavy data processing.
A non-blocking, event-driven, architecture enables Node.js to handle many connections simultaneously and asynchronously, with no performance lag. And that is why companies liked Netflix, LinkedIn, and PayPal have leveraged Node.js to power their core platform.
2. Unified Development with JavaScript
One of the main advantages of using Node.js is that it allows JavaScript to be used for front-end and back-end development. This unification makes development processes smoother and less complicated because you will not have to juggle different languages through the development process. The uni-language approach is both a time-saver and a method that allows Team members' experiences to be shared better, but it also allows for a uniplatform structure and an easier onboarding experience for new developers. If you are creating an all-new product, hiring NodeJs developers is an easy way to ensure that you are working with developers that are capable of managing an entire full-stack written in JavaScript language.
3. Scalability from the Start
Scalability should not be a coined term but a necessity for any growing company. Node.js supports microservices architecture, which allows developers to break application code into smaller, independently deployable, full modules. This design allows the smaller components to be scaled independently, without breaking down the entire application. When you work with experienced Nodejs development services, it opens the opportunity to build your application with future growth in mind. You never know when you will have a huge peak in user traffic, or place additional functionality, and Node.js allows you to grow with flexibility on the front and back-end.
4. Abundant Ecosystem and Community Support
Node.js has one of the largest and most active developer communities. There are over a million packages in the npm (Node Package Manager) registry, so there is a tool or library for pretty much every functionality you can think of.
This abundant ecosystem allows you to move quickly, never having to reinvent the wheel. When you hire NodeJs developers that have hands-on experience—that can leverage these tools appropriately, they build faster, more reliable applications.
5. Cost-Efficiency and Faster Time to Market
Time is money, and especially in software development, your time is money. Node.js allows for quicker development cycles which in turn, creates code reusability, and less context switching between separate front-end and back-end technologies.
As an added benefit, using smaller, more agile teams to do development means you save resources and seamlessly communicate across the entire stack (all using the same language). When you engage with professional Nodejs development services, you will have assurance that your app gets into the market quicker and without sacrificing quality.
6. Real-Time Capabilities
Modern users expect real-time functionality within applications. Examples include live chat, instant notifications, and concurrent document editing. As a tool, Node.js is built for streaming real-time data, leveraging capabilities such as WebSockets and event-based architectures.
If you need to develop an application with real-time functionality as a core element, then Node.js is a great fit. Developers who have in-depth expertise within this ecosystem can work to expedite and reproduce features of real-time functionality.
Final Thoughts
The technology stack you select could be the difference between the success or failure of your application. Node.js provides an exceptional balance of speed, scalability, and speed of development, meaning it is a practical choice for multiple use cases.
Now that you are ready to realize your idea, it is time to hire NodeJs developers with complete knowledge and expertise in NodeJs best practices. Investing in Nodejs development services allows for a solid technical foundation that will make the development journey from idea to deployment less bumpy from the start.

Smart TV Stick Market Boosted by Technological Advancements and Consumer Demand for Convenience
The Smart TV Stick market has rapidly gained momentum over the past few years, driven by increasing consumer demand for affordable, convenient, and seamless entertainment experiences. With the proliferation of streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Disney+, as well as the growing popularity of internet-based content, Smart TV Sticks have become an essential accessory for consumers looking to enhance their television viewing. In this article, we explore the key drivers behind the growth of the Smart TV Stick market, highlighting technological advancements, consumer preferences, and market trends.
Tumblr media
1. Growing Demand for Streaming Services
The rise of streaming platforms has been a significant catalyst for the growth of the Smart TV Stick market. Consumers are shifting away from traditional cable or satellite TV subscriptions in favor of internet-based streaming services, which offer on-demand content at more flexible pricing. Smart TV Sticks provide a convenient and cost-effective solution for individuals to access their favorite streaming services directly on their TVs without needing a smart TV.
Streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, and YouTube are not just limited to a specific demographic; they have gained popularity across all age groups, which further fuels demand for Smart TV Sticks. The growing popularity of these platforms creates a vast consumer base eager to purchase smart devices that enable them to enjoy high-quality content on a big screen at home.
2. Technological Advancements
Technological innovations in smart streaming devices are also contributing significantly to the Smart TV Stick market's growth. The development of more powerful, compact, and efficient devices has made TV sticks an attractive option for consumers who want to enhance their viewing experience. These devices now support 4K streaming, voice assistants (like Alexa and Google Assistant), and high-definition audio, which improves the overall user experience.
Furthermore, advancements in wireless connectivity, such as Wi-Fi 6, have led to faster and more stable connections. This allows for smoother streaming without buffering or lag, even with high-definition or 4K content. As a result, the quality and reliability of Smart TV Sticks have greatly improved, making them even more appealing to consumers.
3. Affordable Entertainment Solutions
Smart TV Sticks have proven to be a more affordable alternative to purchasing a smart TV, which can be quite expensive. For consumers who do not want to invest in an entirely new television set but still want access to smart features like streaming apps, a TV stick serves as a low-cost solution. The affordability of TV sticks makes them an attractive option for individuals looking to upgrade their home entertainment setup without spending too much money.
The relatively low price points of popular Smart TV Stick brands, such as Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, and Google Chromecast, have made these devices highly accessible to a broader range of consumers. This price accessibility is helping drive the market’s growth, particularly in emerging markets, where many consumers are looking for affordable ways to enhance their entertainment options.
4. Rising Popularity of Voice Assistants and Smart Homes
The increasing adoption of smart home devices is another driving factor for the growth of the Smart TV Stick market. Many consumers now own smart speakers, like Amazon Echo and Google Home, and are familiar with voice assistant technology. The ability to control Smart TV Sticks through voice commands is a significant feature that appeals to tech-savvy consumers.
Voice control features allow users to search for content, adjust volume, play or pause movies, and even switch between apps without needing to use a remote control. As voice assistants become more integrated into the home, the demand for Smart TV Sticks that offer seamless compatibility with other smart devices will continue to grow.
5. Increasing Consumer Preference for Cord-Cutting
"Cord-cutting" is a term used to describe the growing trend of consumers canceling their traditional cable or satellite TV subscriptions in favor of internet-based options. This shift toward streaming services, which offer greater flexibility and lower costs, has fueled demand for Smart TV Sticks. Consumers are increasingly opting for devices that allow them to access online content on their television screens without the need for an expensive cable package.
As more consumers abandon traditional cable TV, Smart TV Sticks provide an affordable and simple solution to access a wide variety of streaming content. The increasing popularity of cord-cutting is expected to continue driving demand for Smart TV Sticks, especially as more content becomes available online and more people realize the benefits of streaming.
6. Consumer Trends Toward Personalization
Consumers are increasingly seeking personalized experiences, and Smart TV Sticks are helping to cater to this demand. With features like personalized content recommendations based on viewing history, users can discover new shows and movies tailored to their tastes. Furthermore, Smart TV Sticks support multiple user profiles, allowing everyone in the household to have a customized experience. This level of personalization adds significant value to the product and contributes to the market’s growth.
Conclusion
The Smart TV Stick market is thriving due to several key drivers, including the rise of streaming services, technological advancements, affordability, and increasing consumer preferences for smart homes and cord-cutting. As the demand for personalized, cost-effective, and convenient entertainment options continues to grow, Smart TV Sticks are expected to remain a popular choice among consumers worldwide.

What is Cloud Gaming and How Does It Work?
Tumblr media
Gaming has come a long way from bulky consoles and physical CDs to digital downloads and now, cloud gaming. But what exactly is cloud gaming, and how does it work?
In this blog, we’ll break it down in simple terms, so whether you’re a gamer, developer, or just curious, you’ll walk away with a clear understanding. What is Cloud Gaming?
Cloud gaming or game streaming is a method to play video games over the Internet that does not require installing them on your device. Rather than executing the game on your console, computer, or smartphone, the game executes on powerful external servers (in the cloud), and you stream the game to your device—similar to viewing a movie on YouTube or Netflix.
Your device essentially becomes a controller and a screen.
How Does It Work?
Here's the process in a few easy steps:
You start a game from a cloud gaming platform or app.
Your inputs (such as moving or shooting) are transmitted from your device to a far-off server.
The game plays on that server, not your device.
The server streams the live gameplay video to you.
It all happens in real time, so it feels like you’re playing the game right there on your screen.
It's fast, smooth, and doesn't demand costly gaming gear.
Why is Cloud Gaming Becoming Popular?
There are some big reasons cloud gaming is growing so fast:
No more downloads: You don’t need to wait hours to install games or updates.
Play on any device: Whether it's a smart TV, laptop, or even your phone, you can access your games anywhere.
No need for high-end hardware: You don’t need a gaming PC or console just a stable internet connection.
Access your games instantly: Start playing the moment you feel like it.
This makes gaming more affordable, accessible, and flexible for everyone. What Makes it Work So Smoothly?
Cloud gaming relies on some powerful tech behind the scenes:
Data centres: These are massive server farms that run the games 24/7.
Streaming technology: Just like video streaming, cloud gaming platforms compress and deliver video feeds of the game to your device.
Low latency: The time between your action and the game’s response needs to be minimal. Companies invest heavily in making sure there’s little to no lag.
Fast internet: A strong and stable internet connection is key to a good experience.
Real-World Examples of Cloud Gaming Platforms
Some popular cloud gaming platforms include:
NVIDIA GeForce Now
Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud)
Google Stadia (shut down, but once a big player)
PlayStation Now
Companies like MAS Global Services help gaming studios build their cloud gaming platforms, offering the technology, scalability, and performance needed to deliver smooth gameplay to global users.
Is Cloud Gaming the Future?
It’s a big part of gaming’s future. As internet speeds improve and more players want flexibility, cloud gaming removes many of the traditional barriers like cost, hardware, and location.
Studios and developers are now looking to companies like MAS Global to help them create cloud-based experiences that work across all devices and regions.
Conclusion:
Cloud gaming is not just a buzzword it’s a game-changing technology. It gives more people the chance to enjoy top-tier games, without spending a lot on hardware or storage. It’s fast, easy, and convenient. So the next time someone asks, “What is cloud gaming?”, you’ll know it’s about freedom, flexibility, and the power of the cloud.

10 Smart Reasons to Hire JavaScript Developer for Your Next Project in 2025
If you're planning to launch a new digital product in 2025 be it a website, web app, or mobile application you’re probably wondering which technology and developer you should go with. Here's the good news: JavaScript continues to dominate the development world. And one of the smartest moves you can make this year is to hire a JavaScript developer for your next project.
JavaScript is no longer just a frontend language. It’s evolved into a full ecosystem that supports everything from user interfaces to server-side programming. Let's explore 10 reasons why hiring a JavaScript expert is a smart investment for your business in 2025.
Tumblr media
1. JavaScript Powers the Modern Web
From Facebook to Netflix to LinkedIn JavaScript is the foundation of today’s biggest platforms. It’s the backbone of interactive web and mobile experiences. When you hire a JavaScript developer, you're choosing a language that's proven, reliable, and scalable for projects of any size.
2. Fast Development with One Language
JavaScript is used on both the frontend (React, Vue.js) and backend (Node.js). This means your entire project can be built with one language. A full-stack JavaScript developer can speed up delivery, reduce communication issues, and keep the codebase clean and unified.
3. Huge Library of Tools & Frameworks
React, Angular, Vue, Node.js, Express, Next.js the list goes on. JavaScript’s massive ecosystem lets developers work faster and smarter. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. A good developer knows how to pick the right tool for the job, saving time and boosting performance.
4. Highly Scalable for Growing Projects
Whether you're starting with an MVP or building an enterprise-level product, JavaScript can scale with your growth. When you hire a JavaScript developer, you’re not limited by tech you're empowered by it.
5. Great for Mobile and Web Apps
Want a responsive website and a mobile app with one codebase? JavaScript frameworks like React Native make it possible. You can target both iOS and Android users without hiring two separate teams.
6. Improved User Experience
JavaScript enables real-time updates, animations, and dynamic content things that make your app feel modern and smooth. A skilled developer can bring your design to life and create a seamless experience for your users.
7. Massive Developer Community
With millions of developers using JavaScript, community support is huge. This means faster troubleshooting, continuous learning, and access to pre-built solutions. When challenges come up, a well-connected JavaScript developer can find answers quickly.
8. Better SEO with Server-Side Rendering
Think JavaScript can’t do SEO? Think again. Tools like Next.js allow developers to render content on the server, making pages faster and more search engine-friendly. A smart JavaScript developer can help your site rank better on Google.
9. Cost-Effective Development
Because JavaScript is so versatile, you can often reduce the size of your development team. Instead of hiring separate developers for frontend, backend, and mobile you can streamline your team with JavaScript specialists, saving both time and money.
10. Future-Proof Technology
JavaScript is not a trend, it's the future. Big tech companies continue to invest in its growth. By choosing to hire a JavaScript developer now, you’re building your project on a solid, future-ready foundation.
FAQs
Q1. Why should I hire a JavaScript developer instead of other developers? JavaScript developers can work across the full stack frontend, backend, and even mobile. This reduces complexity, lowers costs, and speeds up development.
Q2. Can a JavaScript developer handle my mobile app too? Yes! With frameworks like React Native, a JavaScript developer can build powerful mobile apps for both iOS and Android using the same codebase.
Q3. How do I choose the right JavaScript developer for my project? Look for experience with modern frameworks (React, Node.js, etc.), strong problem-solving skills, a portfolio of past work, and good communication abilities.
Conclusion
2025 is all about smarter, faster, and more efficient digital solutions and JavaScript is leading the charge. From web to mobile, frontend to backend, JavaScript can handle it all. So if you're ready to build a high-performance, scalable product, the smart move is simple: hire JavaScript developer and bring your vision to life.
