The bell had rung and all of the students were in the hallway. Some were talking to other people while some were just lollygagging around. Then there's Alex, walking down the hallway while carrying three books. She didn't really pay attention to where she was going though because she accidentally bumped into a girl with glasses.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you."

"Your necklace is beautiful, Moana. Who gave that to you?"

“Oh! Thank you. My grandmother gave this to me before she passed.” Fingers reached up to graze along the top of the necklace, a fond look on her face. “Even though what it held isn’t here anymore, I keep it to remind me of her.”

Mirabel runs up to her and jumped in her arms. "It's my birthday!"

"Sure is!" Luisa catches Mirabel without any effort, hugs her close and blows a raspberry on her cheek. "Happy birthday, sis! How ya doin' on the 'older and wiser' part, eh?"

"So, it seems like we both are celebrating our birthdays! That is so amazing!"

Antonio smiled, his arms wrapped tightly around Mirabel, his head burried in her shoulder. He adored his Prima, being the person he had shared a room with for the first years of his life, and enjoyed any excuse to be close to her. 

“Pssst. Mira.” His soft whisper was accompanied by a pair of big brown eyes looking up at her, a grin crinkling his eyes. “Casita showed me where the cookie jar is.”

One-Eye just looked at the human across the river, releasing a low groan before returning to lap up at the water drinking from the running river. before him which the Grimm Tyrant looked over again at the human with  his singular eye. This time only taking the time watch and observe.

When was she not daydreaming? Warm sun, glittering waters. Maybe she wasn’t supposed to be up here, but how could anyone, merperson and human alike, miss out on this view?
