Scott was a hero even when he was seven.

He risks his own life and rescues a bunch of kids in a bus. He tries to save the driver, but can't. The trauma from that alone...

He knows CPR at the age of 7.

And he is afraid his dad (who he probably doesn't know too well because he's not around much) will yell at him because he saved a bunch of kids by being reckless.

Also, at only 7 years old, he devises a plan and knows that some buses have a hidden access.

No one will ever convince me that Corsair was a good father????

I need Marvel to let Christopher Summers make one little sly comment about Scott's parenting and let Scott and Alex go off on him.

He never checked in on his children the entire time he was flying around space. Found a new wife and said "Fuck it, don't need to see if the boys I tried to save are alive."

Alex and Scott both got sucked into Sinister's games and being his little pawns because Christopher couldn't be bothered to come back to his home planet. It took him trying to rob the X-Men to come back and learn what happened to his sons.

And then Marvel just brushed it aside. And I get time-displaced Scott eating that series with his dad up, he's loving being with his dad, he doesn't feel abandoned. But adult Scott? He's got years and years of missing memories, of gaslighting, of experiments, of not being able to trust. Just because his dad didn't come back for him.

I need them to stop letting Corsair have a free ride because 'he finally came back'. His kids are grown now. They don't need him and that's when he comes back?

if I was in charge of comics Cyclops and Corsair would have the worst most contentious relationship in the world I actually do not believe Scott would forgive that man's ass for anyyyything for years minimum. Like r u kidding me Scott "was forced to give up the son he loved more than life itself in order to save him and missed out on raising his daughter AND son because of the cruel indifferent universe stealing away any chance at domestic joy and normalcy that might chance his way" Summers being abandoned, forced to be raised in an orphanage ( RAN BY AN EVIL GUY THAT EXPERIMENTED ON HIM I MAY ADD ) and then adopted into children soliderdom and separated from his only remaining family all because Corsair was like. Bored?? Not in the mood to raise him??? Scott who wants only a chance at a normal life being doomed from the start because his stupid dad thought a normal parental life was lame?? Oh my god can u imagine learning that I think Scott would actually want him dead
