I was trying to think of a way I could include the Shi’ar and the Starjammers in my Witchbreed AU. I was wracking my brain for the medieval-fantasy version of aliens and then it dawned on me

Fae.

They’re fucking fae.

Scott was a hero even when he was seven.

He risks his own life and rescues a bunch of kids in a bus. He tries to save the driver, but can't. The trauma from that alone...

He knows CPR at the age of 7.

And he is afraid his dad (who he probably doesn't know too well because he's not around much) will yell at him because he saved a bunch of kids by being reckless.

Also, at only 7 years old, he devises a plan and knows that some buses have a hidden access.

One of the highlights of early Krakoa, for me, was seeing Vulcan in this domestic context. I know he's not everyone's cup of tea, but I've always thought there was a lot of comedic potential in the third Summers brother being somehow even more comically serious than Scott and more of a jackass than Alex. He's adorable!

I was a bit sad that they went and reverted him for X-Men Red. (Though I did enjoy Storm kicking his ass.) I'd like them to bring this version back some day.

I totally blame Xavier for re-fucking this poor kid up, by the way.

I just found out that there’s an alternate Earth comic where Scott and Alex were abducted along with their parents and raised as Starjammers.

Scott never got his head trauma so he has control of his eye beams. Sometimes his eyes are fully red and sometimes they’re not; I have no idea if these are coloring errors or on purpose.

Ch’od and Raza are replaced by Rocket and Groot for this lineup, which I hate. Stop forcing the Guardians of the Galaxy characters onto other space teams. Hepzibah barely resembles her original skunky self in this. Her tail is so short and doesn’t even have any black in it.

HOWEVER, Hepzibah and Chris are finally MARRIED in this universe! And Chris constantly calls her his wife!!

Sadly, this comes from the short-lived Heroes Reborn 2021 event and this is only the back-up to Hyperion and the Imperial Guard, so there isn’t any more of this.

I want more of this universe so badly. I want Corsair being able to actually raise his sons. I want Scott and Alex who got to have good childhoods. I want Scott being able to control his eye beams. I want Hepzibah being step-mom to Scott and Alex. I want happy Summers Family adventures in space. Why is this only a half issue and why does more of it not exist.

No one will ever convince me that Corsair was a good father????

I need Marvel to let Christopher Summers make one little sly comment about Scott's parenting and let Scott and Alex go off on him.

He never checked in on his children the entire time he was flying around space. Found a new wife and said "Fuck it, don't need to see if the boys I tried to save are alive."

Alex and Scott both got sucked into Sinister's games and being his little pawns because Christopher couldn't be bothered to come back to his home planet. It took him trying to rob the X-Men to come back and learn what happened to his sons.

And then Marvel just brushed it aside. And I get time-displaced Scott eating that series with his dad up, he's loving being with his dad, he doesn't feel abandoned. But adult Scott? He's got years and years of missing memories, of gaslighting, of experiments, of not being able to trust. Just because his dad didn't come back for him.

I need them to stop letting Corsair have a free ride because 'he finally came back'. His kids are grown now. They don't need him and that's when he comes back?
