A rathalos descends upon the field that she has docked upon, his sapphire wings and blazing sun patterns silhouetted by the sunlight. It might look as though a wild beast had descended upon its quarry of food, but the King of the Skies is hardly even a young adult, and he lands peacefully in the grasses. Such a strange sight! Stranger still, was the figure on it's back!

San had reacted to the deviant Rathalos the way any self-respecting island hunter would: by grabbing her switchaxe, her bag, and leaping into the ocean immediately.

Rathalos were quite good fishers, so of course it was only natural to dive far deeper than she would for a terrestrial wyvern. The Mahanian steering the boat didn't even get to make a sound of protest before water filled her ears, an arm reaching after her in shock before being forced to concede that she was gone.

"My god, did she even need a ride over? She's off like a shot!" The man pushed his boat back off of the beach to reach back to where she'd gone. Or...he thought she'd gone. He stuck a hand into the depths to wave her back out.

"Guardian Razewing isn't dangerous, girl...!" He explained - as someone probably should've much sooner - when her head popped out of the water again. "He's a gentle giant, promise."

The Moon Hunter looked more like a Mahanian herself than a hunter from the likes of Lulucion. Tribal string tied into her hair and red triangles of facepaint so often worn that the paintberries had slowly dyed her skin, keeping her in relative shape even after impromptu contact with the ocean waves.

Aware she'd committed an indiscretion, especially with the Rathalos' apparent title, she came within a closer distance and got down on one knee before the two of them, head towards the ground.
