not to mention, the show itself show little effort to make us know and care about 14/20->70% of the character in the lineup. The only time i remembered the effort to make us as an audience care about them is just when they are like, helping mari or any heroes and thats it. But like, thats so lame.

Like listen, they have never go in-depth on Alya or Nino as a character, Chloe character is definitely already 6ft under with how much assassination she very much endure every season past s2. This whole situation is so fucked up. Mizore was moved away to a different aquarium (Otaru Aquarium) as part of a breeding program - which would be normal and fine in other circumstances except Mizore was only 3 years old when he died and ringed seals dont tend to mate until theyre 7 years old. Already weird. In the new aquarium his enclosure was apparently very isolated with not a lot of enrichment and visitors said he was acting weird and swimming in circles for ages etc.etc. Mizore was very well socialised as he was raised by hand, and was used to having lots of enrichment and socialisation. He died in Otaru aquarium - and they wont even tell us what happened. They're actively blocking accounts who ask about his cause of death. Not even a 'we're waiting for the results'. Ponsuke's cause of death was released in 15 days. It's been over a month since Mizore died and nothing. Awfully fucking suspicious. He deserved so, so much better.

围魏救赵 - wéiwèijiùzhào - "Relieve the state of Zhao by besieging the state of Wei". Meaning to save an ally under attack by attacking something the enemy holds dear - their home.

声东击西 - shēngdōngjīxī - To threaten the east and strike to the west. Basically, creating a diversion.

HEY. HEY. THIS IS A CHEVROTAIN. ONE OF MY MOST SPECIALIST INTERESTS EVER. HERES A BUNCH OF INFO I KNOW ABOUT CHEVROTAINS.

They're also referred to as mouse deer, despite not being rodents or true deer. They're actually more closely related to camels, pigs, and even whales! (Being the closest living animal to Indohyus, a whale ancestor, AKA what whales looked like if they never switched to water).

Chevrotain is also an inaccurate name, chevrot, meaning kid or Fawn, which is derived from chèvre (goat). However I refer to them as chevrotains for the same of simplicity. The Telugu name is jarini pandi, literally meaning "a deer and a pig". Some other names are barka, barinka, kūramān, and my favorite sarukumāṉ (meaning "leaf-pile deer")

the first chevotain ever recorded was in 1910, but they essentially vanished for a generation. 80 years later, they were rediscovered a hunter shooting one (which was thr fifth reporting of a chevrotain Ever). Scientists then went on an expedition to find more, and in 2019 (almost 30 years later) they found some with camera traps and interviews with local villagers and forest rangers! chevrotains are VERY hard to observe and find. They're solitary, incredibly timid and flightly (fleeing at the slightest noise), live in dense vegetation, and only communicate with each other with markings and noises. The noises they make are a soft bleating noises. They're also nocturnal. The only times chevrotains really interact is to mate, a mother and its young, or to fight (except for the lesser Malay chevrotains, which mate for life). Even with dense populations of chevrotains, they rarely interact. A female chevrotain gestation period is about 6-9 months, and they can get pregnant again *hours after giving birth!* Water chevrotains have precocial babies, meaning they can stand up and qalk around an hour after being born!

Chevrotains are unfortunately very data deficient. Not only are they difficult to observe (as mentioned before), but we've only really started studying them 4 years ago. There have been attempts to breed them in captivity, but has only really worked with water chevrotains

chevrotains have thin legs, round body, and rumps. Chevrotains are constantly on their "tip toes". They also possess fangs, which are more prominent in males. Their tough rumps protect them from bites, while their fangs are for sparring/self defense!

Not only are chevrotains the smallest hooved animal, they also have real tiny blood cells! Their blood cells have been shown to have odd pits and unique shapes, however this might be attributed to the specifc chevrotains health (despite none of them having any obvious signs of disease)

Chevrotains also have folklore! Kancil Stories are fables about Sang Kancil, a physically weak Java mouse deer that outsmarts others

One story is Sang Kancil and the Farmer. Sang Kancil was stealing cumbers from a farmers crop, and started mocking a scarecrow because it didn't scare him. He bullied the scarecrow by kicking it. However, his leg got stuck in the scarecrows glue and he was unable to get out. The Farmer eventually caught Kancil and put him in a cage. The farmers dog mocked Kancil, saying he will be cooked tomorrow. However, Kancil kept a straight face and claimed that he would marry the farmers daughter and become a prince. Kancil mocked the farmers dog by saying "look how your loyalties paid off!"The dog, frustrated by its work going unrewarded, requests to switch places so it can become a prince instead. Kancil is freed, and the Farmer is left very confused why his dog is in Kancils place. (Donr worry, the dog doesn't get cooked :])

how did minho n onew (i actually bias onho) end up in shinee when onew had never danced before n minho also joined late in 2006 n didn't really have that good vocals to be in shinee and compared to other three who had trained for longer, it would be harder for them to be considered in the same group. now i can't imagine the group without onho since all 5 members have a huge presence so shinee wouldn't be the same with anyone else.

jinki was scouted at a snsd showcase by lsm. he was asked to sing on the spot and signed the next day; jinki became a member of shinee because he is an outstanding VOCALIST. you don't just have to be a dancer to be part of an idol group, and sm is a label notoriously known for how well-trained and talented their vocalists are.

minho was actually scouted at a ski resort by sm casting directors; they pestered him long enough for him to agree to go to the audition in 2006 and he passed. his mother actually thought the initial casting was a scam, lmao. he talked about it in his showterview with jessie most recently. accounts of his time at sm are a little vague in a way, because some say he entered the company earlier but then had to pull out for a year and come back. i don't know; back then i didn't really care about the how and when they got to sm.

have you seen minho? obviously he was cast on the merit of his visual, but he continuously trained and improved himself, and he debuted as the MAIN RAPPER of the group. during second gen, the focus on actual rappers in group was somehow... more serious? thanks largely to the popularity of bigbang.

Sampo #1

Sampo's parents were young and only in their early twenties when he was conceived and he was largely unplanned (especially at the time that he was to become a reality for them), to the point of where his father did not want to be involved with raising his child because he knew he was not ready nor was he sure if he even wanted a child in the first place. They are both from the Overworld, and that's where Sampo was born as well.

Sampo's mother raised him completely on her own, and as he got older and entered adulthood he saw less and less of his mother, and did not have any contact with his father until his late twenties. It was entirely by chance that Sampo ran into his father again, and it was the similar hair color that tipped him off that Sampo was his son. It took quite awhile for a relationship to actually form with them since it'd been almost thirty years of his life without a father, but Sampo didn't begrudge his father for not feeling ready to raise a kid when he himself feels very similarly about the idea of having kids of his own.

While he doesn't see his father on the most frequent basis, whenever they do happen to cross paths they catch up and hang out and get along just fine.

I’ve seen this post a million times and while I appreciate the enthusiasm this IATSE petition is not FOR CGI/VFX animators. In fact, it’s on the older side (I saw it making the rounds on tumblr a couple months ago.) Go ahead and sign it, but the literal first sentence reads...

We are writing this letter to encourage Disney leadership to do the right thing and recognize the demand of Production Coordinators, Production Managers, and Production Supervisors to join IATSE Local 839, The Animation Guild (TAG).

It’s a petition to get production coordinators, managers, and supervisors - all INSANELY important roles in making a film! - recognized as part of the animators union that ALREADY EXISTS. There is no “Disney Animators Union”, specifically - animators already have a union, and it’s IATSE Local 839, aka The Animation Guild. You can check out their website here.

Since the original petition went around, it looks like Disney and 20th (century fox) recognized the unionization of their production staff, but haven’t sat down to negotiate a contract for them since that recognition in JULY 2022. 

It looks like they have an ongoing petition to get Disney/20th TVA to sit down and hammer out a contract with the unionized workers. Maybe go ahead and sign that instead?

CGI animators should unionize next. normally, their jobs would be too precarious to strike, since studios would replace them without a second thought, but if it's part of this larger general film strike, they might finally have meaningful power to better their working conditions
