Magic, Rainbows and Unicorns...

Feels like forever since 2019 and my last ceremony blog...tbf it has been a while, I've been a bit lax...but 2020 is upon us...6 weeks in and I think I’ve got the hang of this new year, new decade malarkey...

So, anyway, as you know, I was one of the SmallBiz 100 businesses chosen in 2019, for my day on the 1st December I ran a competition, offering the winners a free corporate ceremony. 

Corporate ceremonies can be really effective in celebrating the milestones at work. Anything from a big team win, to a retirement or a birthday, and they are a great way to boost the morale of your workforce or co workers. 

I couldn't make my mind up from the entries I received so decided to opt for two winners...my competition ...my rules right?  

My first winners to receive their prize are The Unicorn Studios in Ipswich. 

A  co-working space designed by creatives for creatives and housed in the old Unicorn Pub just outside of the city centre. 

It’s a cracking little work space for those who need an office, but not necessarily for  5 days a week. It’s affordable, central and a fun place to base yourself amongst fellow graphic designers, illustrations, writers, web designers and others. 

What better outfit to wear as I introduced the inaugural breakfast meeting than my  Unicorn dress and Rainbow DM’s....anyone would have thought I had planned it...but I must admit until I opened my wardrobe door at 6.30 this morning planning on wearing another dress, I had totally forgotten I owned this one...first world problems and all that !!

suitably suited and booted I headed up the A137 and into town where I was greeted by a room full of people. 

After giving a brief outline of the listed building’s history, I got to introduce the team from Cheddar Creatives who gave us the lowdown on SPRINTS and how they use them with clients to help focus and achieve goals...check them out if you are in need of a rebrand or more!!

As ever when given the challenge I like to find something suitable with which to end a ceremony and today’s was on different...

go and google a poem about co-working in  4 parts by  Doris & Rainer / @rayaworx...their little ditty fitted my brief perfectly.
