How are wyverns acquired by the armies because Im imagining a wyvern farm being herded like some sheep

in somewhere like macedon where wyvern are more commonplace they probably raise them just like ur imagining…

wyvern farms probably breed, hatch, and raise them until theyre old enough to be handed off to the army where wyvern trainers can take over and raise them until theyre old enough to be used as steeds

though maybe in other places wyverns are captured from the wild and tamed…?
