When it came to the music industry, Faye was something of half in it, but mostly out of it. She wrote what she wanted, she sung when she wanted. The truth was she loved them little cutting all her life. It's a high dollar habit that she financed by building songs. The songs were a means to the horses now, and while she had a unique and talented voice, and even more talented eye for songs, that was on the back burner. The little cutting horses were all scattered down the highway now, as were some of her dreams, and instead she found herself a bit... bitter. Maybe lost. Maybe something.

A familiar face caught her. Another local musician that was in the scene — Corey Jensen — came into view. She didn't know how involved Corey was with Tripp. Tripp had been the local face for the snake that was an Obsidian Holdings owned "local" record label. Him and his studio disappeared in a blaze of fire some years ago. It ended up not mattering because Obsidian still managed to buy her masters. Granted, she got around that by re-recording all her music. Now, Faye did know that Corey was a regular musician over at the Glass Cactus, which was also Obsidian owned. Faye offered a wave and a nod of greeting to Corey. She was nothing if not polite. "How's the ol' tunes over at the Glass Cactus?"

Wynn recalls when this nightclub used to be a dive bar called Brass Buckles. It feels like ages ago, but the memories of hunting down her dad all over Paxton, whenever he went MIA after his latest gambling loss or win– as infrequent as those were. Brass Buckles, and a few other hole-in-wall locations were her father's usual haunts. Wynn was surprised when she returned 3 years ago to find an all new establishment where it once stood. A win in her books. What better way to crush terrible memories than tearing down the establishments that hold them?

There were some familiar old faces, and a bunch of new faces in Paxton that came along with the boom in business and tourism. Corey's face was one of the former. Quite a few nights Wynn found herself at The Glass Cactus ready to destress, turn off her brain, and have a fun night. Part of that included taking in the live performances. Corey captained the stage tonight, which she thoroughly enjoyed, and hung around to celebrate that fact. Clapping as she greeted them, Wynn beamed. "Hey superstar! Great performance tonight."

"Who do we have here?" The cat didn't look like much and it was clear to Bea that it was a stray. At least, she hoped, otherwise it came from someone who didn't seem to take good care of their pet. From memory, it was the first time the technician was seeing to other here. "Is it yours?" They were familiar, it was hard not to recognize them. Oxbow was a small town and Corey was well-known in it, their own celebrity. "Can I?" she asked as she extended her hands to take the cat.
