Can I request a slipknot imagine? Maybe one where Joey has a crush on a girl from a different metal band? Love your work
In love/ Joey Jordison x reader
Notes: Thank you, i'm glad you like my work
Words: 430
FLUFF
Y/B/N = your bands name
--------------------------------------------------
You have run into each other many times. Especially at festivals when your metal band Y/B/N played before or after Slipknot. Your bands were introduced to each other, but you never really talked.
Just now and then a congratulation for a successful show and a short conversation how everyone was doing.
You always noticed the short drummer with the long black hair. When you break away from Corey's eyes, who is talking about his new mask, you let your gaze wander over the Slipknot members and get stuck on Joey's eyes staring into yours.
Often he looks away immediately. Sometimes he doesn't realize you're looking at him until a moment later and quickly looks away, blushing but smiling.
You think his behavior is cute. Someone who plays in such a scary band can be shy around you?
You grin each time and focus back on Corey, who is wiggling his eyebrows with a cheeky grin. You shake your head and punch him in the arm.
The next time your bands saw each other you could only greet each other briefly. Joey was so overwhelmed with the situation of seeing you again, waving at you and walking, that he stumbled. Mick was just able to catch him.
After their performance, you're sitting on a box and scrolling on your phone, you hear a familiar voice.
"Y/N, do you want to go on a date with me?" Says Joey very quickly, so you can just barely understand him. He plays with his fingers and looks at the floor.
"You don't have to. That's okay." He shrugs and turns around. "No Joey. Don't go."
He turns when he hears your voice. "I'd love to go on a date with you." You smile at him.
"Really?" He asks. You nod. "Yes." A broad smile is on his lips.
He walks up to you and takes you in his arms. You laugh. Suddenly, he pulls away from you.
"What' wrong?" You ask him.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to." He takes a step back. "It's okay." You answer him.
Joey looks sheepishly at the floor and nods. "You have my number right?" He asks. You nod.
"Good, I'll text you." He smiles at you, then turns around.
You look after him. Then your eyes drift to a person standing not far from you.
It's Corey. He looks at you with a grin and raised eyebrows. You shake your head with a smile and sit down again to continue scrolling on your phone.

Corey Talor: CMF2 Album Review
I've never listened to Slipknot much, maybe snippets here and there, but this made me want to give some of their songs a listen.
On September 15, the lead singer of the heavy metal band Slipknot, Corey Taylor, released a solo record titled CMF2. I entertained a listen to the record, based on the fact that I am aware that Slipknot is a band that exists. And while I enjoy most music genres, I am particular about my tastes in metal bands. I love System of a Down and Disturbed, while most others I've either never listened to or don't hit the same. The snippets of songs I've heard from Slipknot have never engaged me particularly.
However, this collection of 13 songs from Corey Taylor has made me want to take a look at a Slipknot album proper sometime in the future.
CMF2 starts off with its weakest track, "The Box." It's the most lyrically uninteresting song and starts the album off on the wrong foot. After that though, every other song leaves a much more powerful impression.
"Post Traumatic Blues" is one of my favorites of the album. Instrumentally, it's got delicious guitar riffs that shoot adrenaline through my body. And as someone who's iffy on guttural singing, Corey Taylor is mesmerizing on the mic. The hook is a fantastical earworm that helps center the song as a masterpiece for the project.
"Talk Sick" is another song along the similar lines of "Post Traumatic Blues" that hits similar vibes, though doesn't hit the same as the previous track, in my opinion.
Following up was "Breath of Fresh Smoke," and based on the oxymoron title alone, it slaps. They turn down the high-octane energy for this one and provide one of the most lyrically intriguing songs of the album. Corey Taylor exercising a more somber voice on this works so well.
The one other song I want to emphasize here is "We Are The Rest." As the energy gets ramped up once more, Corey exercises another solid track that makes for a roaring fun time. After "We Are The Rest," the remainder of the tracks vary from okay to good. Sonically, CMF2 is the best metal album I've listened to this year so far, I imagine. 4/5. Great listen. Definitely makes me want to give Slipknot a try proper.

If you take a step towards me You will take my breath away So I'll keep you close and keep my secret safe No one else has ever loved me No one else has ever tried I never understood how much I could take Then I saw the worst was over When I laid my eyes on you It was all that I could do to know my place Out of all the vast illusions Out of all the dreams come true I was gone until I finally saw your face If you cried out for more If you reached out for me I would run into the storm Just to keep you here with me I have gone beyond my years I've wasted half my life But I found it all in you Did I save you? 'Cause I know you saved me too Let me take a step towards you Let me feel you in my hands Let me cross this line and show you where it leads There's a darkness down inside me That I know we'll both enjoy And it's screaming from within to set it free I have left this bloody nightmare In my wake but out of sight All I want is deviation by design Out of all the past confusion Out of all the common spite Just tell me I am yours 'cause you are mine And if you cried out for more If you reached out for me I would run into the storm Just to keep you here with me I have gone beyond my years I've wasted half my life But I found it all in you Did I save you? 'Cause I know you saved me too It doesn't really matter what you do or say I'm never going anywhere anyway 'Cause when I'm dying for you I've never felt so alive If you cried out for more If you reached out for me I would run into the storm Just to keep you here with me I have gone beyond my years I've wasted half my life But I found it all in you Did I save you? Bury all your secrets in my skin Come away with innocence, and leave me with my sins The air around me still feels like a cage And love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage again… So if you love me, let me go. And run away before I know. My heart is just too dark to care. I can’t destroy what isn’t there. Deliver me into my fate - If I’m alone I cannot hate I don’t deserve to have you… My smile was taken long ago If I can change I hope I never know I still press your letters to my lips And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss I couldn’t face a life without your lights But all of that was ripped apart when you refused to fight So save your breath, I will not hear. I think I made it very clear. You couldn’t hate enough to love. Is that supposed to be enough? I only wish you weren’t my friend. Then I could hurt you in the end. I never claimed to be a saint… Ooh, my own was banished long ago It took the death of hope to let you go So break yourself against my stones And spit your pity in my soul You never needed any help You sold me out to save yourself And I won’t listen to your shame You ran away - you’re all the same Angels lie to keep control… Ooh, my love was punished long ago If you still care, don’t ever let me know If you still care, don’t ever let me know…

Farmers Insurance 2018: Tiger Woods' tee time, plus full pairings for Saturday
For the first time in almost 900 days, Tiger Woods is going to play the weekend of a PGA Tour event.
It happened! Tiger Woods made the weekend at a PGA Tour event! It’s been almost 900 days since we could say that, but Tiger is back and will get two more rounds at Torrey Pines’ South Course.
Woods did not make it easy, needing a birdie on his very last hole of the day to make the cut on the number. And after another wild drive into the thick junk that surrounds these narrow Torrey fairways, he was able to muscle one just over a bunker and onto the green. Granted, the ball was way the hell on the other side of the green opposite the flag, but he was on in two and needed just two putts for a birdie and jumped onto the safe side of the cut line.
Tiger hit a perfect lag putt that made it academic, leaving just a few feet to clean up his birdie. As soon as he tapped it in, there was an exhale of relief and a sense of happy triumphalism. I had feelings about the whole scene. It’s far from a notable accomplishment in a career that’s one of the two best of all time. But come on, it’s been so long and all day it kind of felt inevitable that he was going to slog his way to a number that left him two or three shots short of playing the weekend.
The last time Tiger made it to the weekend at Torrey Pines, his stay was not long. In 2014, Tiger posted a “missed cut-did not finish” result, the first of his career. That year, a secondary cut was needed thanks to the bloated field that made the initial cut at the top 70 and ties threshold on Friday night. Tiger played Saturday and posted a 79, which, at the time, tied the second highest round of his career. It featured a seven-hole stretch that he played in 9-over. He was trunk-slamming on Saturday night and did not make it to see Sunday’s final round.
That MC-DNF result is not an option this weekend, as the group that made the cut is a manageable size and there will be no secondary cut. So we’re guaranteed to get at least 36 more holes of Tiger at Torrey South, a place he owned in his career up until 2013. It’s exactly what he needed — more reps on a course that’s tough but familiar, and the confidence boost in actually getting there in his first start in a year.
Tiger will be going off No. 10 on Saturday, where the Tour will send them out in groups of three and using split tees. That condenses the field down to a two-hour window with everyone on the course at the same time. With Tiger just barely sneaking in, he’s bumped to a back nine start and will be out with Sung Kang and a familiar face in Brandt Snedeker.
Here’s your full tee sheet for the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open (all times ET).

USGA releases 2017 U.S. Open first- and second-round tee times, groupings
Jordan Spieth is looking for a second U.S. Open title in three years. (REUTERS)
The U.S. Golf Association has announced full-field tee times for the first and second rounds of the 2017 U.S. Open, to be conducted June 15-18 at Erin Hills Golf Course in Hartford, Wisc.
In setting up opening round groupings, the USGA has some traditional leanings, and they’ve followed through again with those for Thursday-Friday.
In a grouping of the last three U.S. Open champions, Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth and Martin Kaymer will play together for the first two days, going off at 8:35 a.m. CT from No. 10 on Thursday.
Jason Day, Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy are also together for the first 36 holes, teeing off in Round 1 at 2:09 p.m. from No. 1.
Phil Mickelson, who said he will likely not play in the Open to attend his daughter’s high school graduation, is currently scheduled to play at 2:20 p.m. with Steve Stricker and Stewart Cink from No. 1. Whichever player is second on the alternate list – and the USGA doesn’t release the priority order of the list – will take Mickelson’s place.
The USGA has held six spots open in the event players get into the top 60 in next week’s Official World Golf Ranking. However, only two players can conceivably do that, meaning another four alternates will get in the tournament.

CareerBuilder Challenge 2018: Schedule, tee times, TV/live stream info, and scores
The glory days of this PGA Tour event in Palm Springs are gone. But there’s still reason to keep tabs on what used to be famously known as the Bob Hope Classic.
The PGA Tour jumps back to the continental U.S. this week for the start of the West Coast swing. The annual stop in Palm Springs is now known as the CareerBuilder Challenge. The golden days of the Bob Hope Classic pro-am being one of the marquee events on the PGA Tour schedule are long gone. This event has struggled in its early-season slot and in finding a host or a brand name face like Hope to really give it pop and stand out on the crowded schedule, especially within a loaded West Coast swing.
The field is not strong and the venues, a rotating cast of three courses, are a bit meh. This has been lost in the shuffle of the packed schedule and is really struggling for an identity recent years. There are, however, still some stars on hand and a few reasons to take in the third event of the year before things really ramp up next week at Torrey Pines with the return of Tiger Woods.
Here are your nuts and bolts as well as why you should watch the CareerBuilder Challenge. We’ll keep this updated with scores, highlights, news, and updated tee times as the week progresses in the Coachella Valley.
Why Watch
1) It’s golf. Listen, I am not going to fill up this section every week trying to fake it with a bunch of reasons why you must watch such-and-such event. The CareerBuilder Challenge has receded in prestige and power and it’s one of the schedule’s lower-tier events now. The field is actually weaker than this week’s European Tour event, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. The PGA Tour having a weaker field strength than the Euro Tour happens only a couple times a year. So I’d forgive you if you decided to read a book, hang with friends and family, go skiing or play outside in the snow. But it’s still golf and it will be there to comfort and warm you up when you need it. Now here are a few more legitimate reasons to maybe tune in this week.
2) FIGJAM Returns. Once more into the breach. Phil Mickelson is back and the 47-year-old is (probably) going to tell you he’s never felt better, he’s never been more focused, and big things lie ahead in 2018. That may be. We know it will be entertaining and adventurous and thrilling and maybe heartbreaking at times. It’s been almost five years since Phil won, that legendary Sunday at Muirfield to take The Open in the summer of 2013. Tiger Woods, who had multiple back surgeries in those intervening years, has actually won more recently than Phil.
Phil trying to end this drought, make a Ryder Cup team for the 11th straight time, and stay competitive with all the 20-something bombers remains one of the most fascinating watches in the game. We haven’t seen him in three months. He’s 47 and will likely be at least competitive into his 50s, but the time left on this Phil experience is ticking down. Here’s another opportunity to take it in after a three-month absence.

Phil and Rahm, the two headliners this week in the desert.
3) Rahmthreat. Jon Rahm is on the the opposite end of Phil. Another ASU product that’s coming through 25 years later with a potential Hall-of-Fame career in front of him. Rahm’s rise up the world rankings in his first full season on Tour was historically speedy. The Spaniard is No. 4 in the world and just going to stay there in that top 10 for the next decade or so. His short backswing on the way to nuking 330-yard drives is one of the best to watch in the game. Following a runner-up in Maui and with a weaker field in Palm Springs, this could be the week he picks off an early-season win.
4) Birdiefests and #59Watches. Like the Sony Open last week, this is another event that can yield the magic round of breaking 60. Adam Hadwin did it just a year ago here. David Duval did it at this event when it was the Bob Hope and breaking 60 was a much, much harder thing to do. It’s perfectly fine — and can be fun! — to occasionally have a week that’s a birdiefest every now and then and 20-something-under is probably going to win it this week.
How to Watch
The first stop on the West Coast swing is only one that’s exclusively covered on Golf Channel. The cable network will have all four rounds before spending the rest of the year splitting coverage with CBS or its sister network NBC on the weekends.
Each broadcast runs through the same coverage window all four days. Golf Channel’s technicians are still on strike after spending much of Tuesday negotiating a new deal, according to Martin Kaufmann of Golfweek. Golf Channel has contingency plans in place for the CareerBuilder, so it’s unlikely we’ll get the mad dash scramble that we watched on Sunday at the Sony Open. This should approximate a normal, more professional production but it’s still not ideal to have the regulars and experts sitting out on strike.
This week also marks the return of PGA TOUR LIVE, the tour’s over-the-top streaming service that now has a couple full seasons under its belt. Now that we’re on the continental US, it will be here to stay for the rest of the year. It’s a good service, even if it now costs money for something that was free in a previous generation. The stream quality is close to perfect and it is the only way to watch the bigger names on Thursday and Friday mornings. It returns this week, however, with some featured groups that are... underwhelming.

Thursday Tee Times
This is one of three events on the West Coast swing that spreads out across multiple courses. There are obviously a lot of golf courses in the Palm Springs and Coachella Valley area. This week, the PGA Tour uses three. The limited daylight hours, a full field, and a pro-am component (which take forrreverrr) make it necessary to rotate courses to get in 72 holes in four days. Here’s your tee sheet for Thursday, with the Tour sending them off split tees on all three of those courses.
