About Cordelia

We're going to see a little bit more of Delia in the next update and I wanted to make sure everyone knew who she was.

Delia is Erik's childhood friend. She's about 3 years older than him, and he's been smitten with her for most of his life. They shared a kiss when they were kids and they made a promise then to marry each other.

But Delia became a teen and started dating boys... while Erik stayed a child. He didn't take it well. (yeah, he was already intense at the time)

He's spent a lot of time picking a fight with Delia's many boyfriends.

Which made her understandably angry. But Erik proved that he genuinely strives to get better for those he loves (and he still does).

Delia was not indifferent to his efforts.

They did end up dating for some time, but it was never shown in the story. Next thing we know, Erik is talking with teen Laurie about Delia wanting to break up with him. It seems like they are more suited to be friends than lovers.

Erik cries on Delia's shoulder the day his father dies.

She offers him a bit more comfort.

She is of course present at the funeral.

Some things linger from the intimacy that they shared. Delia likes to get very tactile with Erik.

Erik tends to be hostile to any man Delia dates.

Delia's general attitude is that of a big sister, but she loves teasing Erik and he's pretty clueless about boundaries. And now that's just how they roll.

You could safely say that Delia is one of the most important persons in Erik's life, after Laurie and his mother.

Where does that leave Gloria?
