That magic genie lamp thing? Yeah, it's for real. How does Corbyn know? Because he saw it with his own eyes today. Yep, that's right, he woke up today as Aladdin. Now don't laugh, that shit isn't funny, aight? I'm sure you are wondering if he's just fucking around or if he's being serious. You can be the judge yourself. It went a little something like this. "Who's there?" He shouted at the top of his lungs. From out of nowhere this lamp thing came flying at him, he caught it and this blue genie dude comes out and starts singing this song, saying 'you ain't never had a friend like me.' "Well no shit dude, you just came from a fucking lamp, friends I know come from apartments and houses." He said scratching the side of his head, or so he thought, maybe the best kind of friends do come from lamps though, wouldn't that be some shit. Then this genie asks if he's Aladdin and that he's going to grant him three wishes now if he is. Is he even for real right now? Of course, he's for real because this shit really did just happen. "Hell yes, my name is Aladdin." Ok, so he may not have told the truth but there are three wishes we are talking about here, what could it hurt? Corbyn took some time as he contemplated what three wishes he should actually use, he had a lot going through his mind, why was there only three he needed more like fifty. "Alright genie dude, my first wish is I want is for you to make me a Prince!" He said with a firm nod and crossing his arms over his chest, he was extremely skeptical right now. Seconds later Corbyn was dressed like a Prince and lucky for him the genie went above and beyond with that small wish. He was quite impressed and couldn't wait to give his second wish. "Damn dude you went all out!" He said as he checked out his new Prince attire. "Since you came through with that, my new best friend, my number two wish is..." He said rubbing his hands together with a little bit of excitement. "I want the Princess to fall in love with me!" He couldn't help but laugh it off, like that would ever happen, he thought. The genie gave him an interesting look as if he was questioning his choice for that wish. "WHAT? She's beautiful, funny, smart who wouldn't want to be with someone like that?" He said laughing a little more. 'Fine wish granted!' The genie told him. No way really? Is it that easy? Corbyn looked around but didn't see any Princess standing there. "Hey! So where is she?" He asked curiously looking around the room. 'OH! I forgot to bring her here, you have to go find her!' The genie told him, Corbyn glared at him for a moment. "Well, I'm not wasting my third wish on bringing her here, besides it'll give me something to do later." He said with a laugh. "Number three, coming at you." He continued and rubbed the tip of his fingers against his beard for a moment before pointing his finger in the air. "I got it! I'm going to set you free! Since you've been in that lamp for ten thousand years, I even have a crick in my neck thinking about it! Welcome to the land of the living! Enjoy it and come by my shop later and I'll hook you up with a new tat!"

New Orleans welcomes you, Corbyn Blackwell! Mr. Blackwell is currently twenty-four years old. He currently resides in the French Quarter, though he is originally from Compton, California. If you can not find him at home, you should try Black Diamond Tattoo, where he is employed as a tattoo artist. Locals say he shows a striking resemblance to Unlisted, but he doesn’t see it.
SOCIAL MEDIA THINGS
@inkaddict: choose not a life of imitation #blackdiamond
He is known to be creative, daring, hardworking, independent, and organized, but also blunt, difficult, forgetful, paranoid, and reserved.
He is currently listening to Drinkin About You by Jake Miller.
CHARACTER QUESTIONNAIRE
WHO IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN YOUR CHARACTER’S LIFE? Klein Blackwell was Corbyn's older brother whom he had always looked up to. Klein always knew that Corbyn deserved a better life than the one the two had been dealt. He always did everything in his power to make sure Corbyn stayed out of trouble in his life back in Compton where gangs and drugs were taking over.
WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER DO ON SUNDAY? On a Sunday you can always find Corbyn at Black Diamond Tattoo. It may be his shop and his pride and joy, but that's his relaxation for him. Whether he's actually working on someone or just hanging out with his employee family.
WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTERS BIGGEST FEAR? Corbyn's biggest fear is that he's going to leave Crescent City and return back to Compton California on a whim. Every day he's fighting the urge to go back and find the people responsible for his older brothers death.
IF YOUR CHARACTER COULD TRAVEL THROUGH TIME TO ONE SPECIFIC DAY, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY? Corbyn would go back to the day that his older brother died. He was killed in a drive-by shooting. Not only would Corbyn take his brother out of the equation of what happened if he had the power to do so, but he would also even go as far as trading places with him.

San Francisco welcomes you, Corbyn Blackwell! Mr. Blackwell is currently twenty-four years old, and is considered a Leader. He currently resides in North Beach, though he is originally from Compton, California. If you can not find him at home, you should try Black Diamond Tattoo, where he is employed as the owner. Locals say he bares a striking resemblance to Unlisted, but he doesn’t see it.
EVERYONE HAS A STORY
@InkAddict: Choose not a life of imitation. #BlackDiamond
Corbyn was born and raised in Compton, California. By the time he was sixteen and after his brother died his uncle came and rescued him, taking him to live with him in San Francisco, California.
Corbyn tried the whole college thing with hopes of making his older deceased brother proud. It just wasn't for him, he is now doing what he loves and owns his own Tattoo Shop Black Diamond Tattoo.
When Corbyn isn't working you can find him volunteering at a nonprofit organization for kids that are less fortunate. After the past he grew up around he is now teaching them that gangs, drugs and a life of crime is not the way to live their life and there are better things out there that they could be doing instead.
EVERYONE HAS A SKELETON
Growing up in Compton, Corbyn was thrown into the life of gangs, drugs and other crime. He desperately wanted to follow in his older brothers footsteps because to him he thought everything he ever did was right. One night his brother was outside in the front yard with a few of his buddies when he was killed in a drive-by shooting. Corbyn lives with the guilt that maybe if he hadn't had went inside to go grab something he might have been able to save his older brothers' life, maybe he would have been killed instead.

Assessment 5
1. Shooter
The tv show Shooter that came out in 2016 was one of the very first tv shows that Corbyn binged watched. Before he started the first season he wasn’t much into watching tv since he spent a lot of his time at Black Diamond Tattoo. But in the little bit of free time that he did have he always found himself going back to this show. Originally drawing him in was the lead actor Ryan Phillippe. It’s a conspiracy thriller about a highly decorated veteran who is talked back into action to prevent the president of the US from being killed.
2. Catfish
Catfish was a show that Corbyn had accidentally stumbled across one day. He caught one episode and instantly became hooked and couldn’t turn the tv off once he got started on the first season. At some point in your life, everyone could probably relate to being catfished while trying to pursue someone with online dating. The fact that some were actually true to be who they say they are was cool, but those who pretended to be someone else then confessed to being someone else with a made up face, name and life not so cool.
3. American Horror Story
Corbyn has seen 4 out of 4 of the American Horror Story seasons. Those being Murder House, Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke. He started the Asylum but quickly lost interest. With a few more to go maybe he can pick back up and get caught up on all the remaining seasons he’s missing out on. Horror shows and movies are one of his favorites especially these that are twisted, Freakshow was his favorite one so far.
4. Bates Motel
Bates Motel was one of the last tv shows that Corbyn actually sat down to watch. Surprisingly, it was pretty good and it kept his attention to finish all the seasons. This is one that he would recommend if you like a show that isn’t really horror filled with blood and guts but has more twist and turns to it. Norman, if I ever see your ass out on the street somewhere I’m coming for you!
5. Forensic Files
Corbyn has always been interested in any and all forensic shows, he’s watched a few different ones, some being better written than others but Forensic Files is one that he can just turn on the tv and listen to it while he’s doing something else around his apartment. What really has him into these types of shows is the fact that who knew all the ways that people get murdered being one. He’s always been interested in things that pertain to the way a psychopath thinks and why they do what they do.
6. Grace and Frankie
This guilty pleasure is probably going to knock your socks off, who would have thought? One day Corbyn walked into his aunt’s house and she was watching this show. Of course, Corbyn was the least bit interested in what these two old hags were doing. His aunt told him to sit the hell down and just watch the damn episode with her. He agreed since his life had been threatened and bam! He watched all of the seasons, what got him hooked on the show was not only the comedy but how down to Earth the show actually is and just good ole wholesome shit talking to one another going on.

Corbyn's eyes flickered open a few times before he brought his balled up fist to rub the sleep from them. Laying there in the pitch black it was only the middle of the night, he realized once his tired eyes made their way over to the bright red light that had the time of 2:06 am. He laid there for a few minutes staring up into the darkness, his thoughts taking him back to a few weeks ago. He started to wonder how things would be today if what had happened then wouldn't have happened at all. Maybe the choice he made to just walk away wasn't exactly the right choice.
Now that he had some time to himself and had time to think about the whole situation. If the opportunity ever came up within the next few days he just might try to do something about it. Soon enough his eyelids were heavy enough that they just didn't open back up, his mind started to drift and he found himself back at Black Diamond Tattoo and working on one of his clients. "Hey come over here." He told her when he saw her walk in, his attention returning to the female he had been working on already for a couple hours.
Soon enough she'd have had enough and she would return in a couple weeks to have the tattoo worked on some more. "I'm almost done, just give me a little bit of time." He said and looked up at her from where he was sitting, he gave her a small smile and returned to what he was doing. Making small talk with his client it wasn't too long before he finished up and he was out the door. The time in between from when he left the building and till he stopped in his tracks was fuzzy. Glancing around him she wasn't there, the darkness surrounding him now, he was in the middle of nowhere.
Standing in the middle of the street, the only thing he could see was the double yellow stripes that were reflecting off the moonlight. He looked down and saw his shoe was untied, squatting down he started to tie his shoe when the headlights came from out of nowhere, inches from his face and his eyes popped open, his heart was beating overtime as he clutched his chest. Laying there he took a few deep breathes to try and calm himself, was he having dreams of dying because when you lose someone you love, you often think you can't live without them...

"Hey just to let you know I'm going home this weekend," Corbyn spoke into his desk phone softly to his Uncle Santiago who was on the other end of the line. It had been a long time coming for him to travel back to Compton and see his deceased brother and his grave site. Let alone he hadn't spoken to his mom or dad since he left Compton and moved to New Orleans with his Uncle when he was only sixteen years of age. His Uncle had been extremely understanding to how Corbyn resented his parents for his past, but he also encouraged Corbyn to in a way face his demons that he was living with on a daily basis.
"Alright, I'll keep you posted, thanks again for everything," Corbyn said before he hung up the phone. Eight years later Corbyn had done a lot of growing up and he was grateful for the man who took him under his wing and gave him a life that no one else could back home. He reached for the laptop that sat in front of him and closed the lid down on it, a soft sigh escaped as his body leaned back into the chair and his arms stretched out over his head for a few moments before he regained his composure. His eyes shot over to his small carry on bag that was waiting for him by his office door. His flight didn't leave for another few hours but he knew he needed to arrive at the airport with plenty of time in case the lines were long, this time of year it was expected to have longer waits. He slipped his desk key into the drawer lock and turned it hearing it click before extracting it back out and pushing the set down into his jacket pocket. His cell phone already there and he was ready to walk out the door when he heard a soft knock on his door. He wasn't expecting any at this time and a curious expression washed over his face when he pushed himself out of the chair and walked over to the door.
Pausing for a few seconds before grabbing the knob he twisted it and pulled open the door to see his grandfather standing there. It was never like him to just show up unexpectedly let alone in his shop, to begin with. "What are you doing here?" Corbyn asked immediately, his head still shaking in a bit of disbelief at him standing before him. 'I have some bad news,' he said, what else could be going on in Corbyn's life right now, at what point does something good finally happen he thought and took a deep breath. "What's going on?" he asked feeling desperate for him to just lay it all out there right now. 'It's your mom, she's in some trouble' that sigh that was coming out of Corbyn's chest, it never seemed to end. Nothing surprised him when it came to his family anymore. "I'm heading back to Compton today and I'll see what the hell is going on with her," Corbyn reassured his grandfather Antonio. 'It's not good Corbyn,' he also stated. "It never is," he said and reached back inside his office to grab his bag and moved the strap over his shoulder. "I've got to go," he reached back behind the door that was weighing against his back and twisted the door lock letting the door close behind when he fully stepped out from in front of it. Just wanting to ignore anything else that was about to be thrown his way he walked away from him down the hallway and forcefully pushed open the back door letting it slam closed behind him as he walked over to his Range Rover and entered his SUV. 'Perfect timing he thought to himself, not only was he going home to visit his brothers grave now he also had to deal with his moms bullshit too.

Assessment 7
The glass Dos Equis beer bottle shattered against the brick wall into a million pieces. Corbyn fell to his knees, his sweaty palms gripping the small glass pieces below his hands, the immense pain that gouged him was one that he'd never forget. It wasn't what the broken glass was doing to him while he held a larger piece and ran it across his arm. It was the fact that his older brother had just died the night before. If only he had also been outside, standing in the front yard right next to him, maybe it would've been him who would have been shot and killed instead. Maybe it would have been both of them instead, either way, he didn't think he deserved to be standing here without him. His life had never been that great, his parents were losers and would always be drug addicts. He often wondered why he was even here, living in a world that sucked so bad. Was everyone's life as shitty as his was, or just his? His eyes locked on the deep red blood trail that flowed down his arm and puddled in the palm of his sliced up hand.
'What in the fuck are you doing man?’ He heard come from out of nowhere behind him, he thought he was alone at the time.
He looked up and saw the familiar face, one that he hadn't seen in a really long time, but one he also wouldn't forget. He was the only family member who even remotely acted like they gave a shit about him. Corbyn's voice was trembling as he began to speak.
"I'm done, I'm so fucking done!!" He shouted looking back down at the piece of glass he was still holding.
'Come on man, you don't want to do this,' his uncle told him in a more calm and relaxing tone.
"Sure I fucking do," Corbyn replied still feeling pissed off but a little more chilled with the tone of his voice now.
'Corbyn, listen to me, man' his uncle said and stepped up beside him, he leaned down and placed a firm grip on his shoulder.
"What the fuck do you want, I don't know what I'm doing anymore, so why don't you enlighten me and give me your best fucking advice?" His uncle knew Corbyn was in a really bad place right now since his brother had just died the night before, he also knew how to talk to Corbyn and get him to listen.
'The best piece of advice I can give you right now is to get off your ass and come back to San Francisco with me, right now, tonight. I'll get you back over here in a few days when it's time to bury your brother but you need to come back with me now.' Corbyn looked over the piece of glass he was still holding in his hand, flipping it over a couple times between his fingers before he tossed it away from him.
'Come back with me and I'll help you, I'll help you get your shit together man. Just don't do this to yourself, it's not your fault what happened to him.' Corbyn sat there for a few minutes and picked the glass shards from his hands and tossed each one to the ground in front of him, his knees were throbbing as they held his body weight and were pushing into the glass below them.
Corbyn had always wanted more for himself and he knew there was more out there for him, he just didn't have the means to make it happen yet. This was probably the only chance he'd ever have to get out of the shit whole life he had been living in. His parents never gave two shits about him, it's not like they'd care if he even left Compton or not.
"Fuck it, I'll do it, it’s not like this piece of shit life of mine can get any worse, right" Corbyn agreed to what his uncle had just offered him, besides it wasn't like his life could get any worse than it already had been, or so he thought at least.
Corbyn did what he had to do that night, he told his parent's bye even though he really didn't care if he saw them before he left or not. Shortly after him and his uncle were taking the drive over to San Francisco, it wasn't too long after Corbyn had arrived and settled into the new city did he get that chance that he always wanted. He straightened his shit up and did what he had to do to open Black Diamond Tattoo with his uncle's help. He may be living with the burden of his brother's death over his head, but the best thing for him was to get away from it all, try and start over completely. He will always be grateful for what his uncle had done for him, he was the only one who ever gave Corbyn a chance to prove himself.
