I may or may not have made almost everyone else. so uh. here
JMV but most of them act like their original counterparts are supposed to
this required so much research. @shroudedinsilver grabbed pretty much all of the necessary sources for me so um. yeah. thank you silver. it's funny how having to make sure you get everything correct makes you realize you hardly know shit.
Some notes of varying importance:
Jade and Obsidian, personality-wise, are probably the closest to their original versions. But I’ve decided that I’m not going to change them at all. That can of hellworms can stay sealed thank you
Peridot can’t be messed with at all, because she is the original version. BS Willow is the Tree spirit, but Peridot is just. Peridot. The Tree created her, she’s not the Tree. And if she was then she’d have to be dead
originally I was thinking just having an AU with the rest of the characters being more canon-compliance-shaped (and without the normal JMV versions) would be kinda boring, because it’s just a Bad Sanses AU, but. the bad Sanses AUs are all pretty OOC. these guys, by design, are not. Or at least, not much. They’re also still their own iterations and slightly different. What I said on discord: "The dynamics. Would be kind of interesting. Especially to compare with normal JMV" What I meant: it would be a chaotic clusterfuck and i'd love to see Obsidian just barely managing to keep these batshit insane idiots under control. and compare it with normal JMV. preferably by making everyone have to deal with each other.
they're in no particular order except 'the order in which I finished all their shit'; and I still put their original JMV counterparts in the heroforge things. Just. Because
i have notes on how their original iterations act in canon but only for some. by which i mean just Iolite and Cadmium
so...yyeah
Carnelian (Jasper/Horror)
Silicon (Koroit/Error)
Pumice (Paraiba/Murder) (Dust)
Copper (Silver/Killer)
Charcoal (Quartz/Ink)
Scapilite (Zircon/Cross)
Iolite (Zuli/Swap)
Cadmium (Mercury/Sci)
#JMV Carnelian#JMV Silicon#JMV Pumice#JMV Copper#JMV Charcoal#JMV Scapilite#JMV Iolite#JMV Cadmium#JMV Jasper#JMV Koroit#JMV Paraiba#JMV Silver#JMV Quartz#JMV Zircon#JMV Zuli#JMV Mercury#I feel like the AU should get a better name but idfk what it’d be#anyway. the real antagonist(s) were the teammates we gathered along the way#look. the closer jade and obsidian get to og dream and nightmare#the harder it gets to forget the fact that dream and nightmare are twins#and like i said. i ain't touching that#sweep it under the rug don't look at it don't even think about it#it's just plain ol' Jade and Obsidian#oh and the 'notes' for cadmium ended up just being a link to the original comic

I can’t wait to get my own place. Not so I have freedom, but because the idea of having something I can decorate without having to consider crushed velvet.
#Like my house is nice. We have Moroccan style lamps in our kitchen. Copper backsplash. A metal horse bust for some reason#But then we have crushed velvet rugs with glass cabinets

Nancy Parsons in Turkish Dress
Artist: George Willison Scottish, 1741–1797)
Date: circa 1771
Medium: Oil on Copper
Collection: Yale Center for British Art, New Haven, CT, United States
Description
Nancy Parsons was one of the most famous courtesans of the eighteenth century. Her aristocratic clients included the young Duke of Grafton, prime minister between 1768 and 1770. Parsons was often seen with the married duke in public until they split in 1769, something that attracted criticism but which also gave them both an aura of transgressive glamour. Her image circulated widely in everything from fine engravings to scurrilous satirical prints. In this seductive portrait by George Willison, she is represented “à la Turque,” that is, in a fanciful western appropriation of Ottoman costume at a time when the Ottoman Empire was regarded as decadent, enervated by luxury and pleasure. Parsons had taken the Duke of Dorset as her lover when Willison painted this portrait, and it was reproduced immediately in mezzotint by the Irish engraver James Watson.
