we were invited to speak at a charity event in a sorority house but it was actually just a fucking rager. Absolutely wild. I think they forgot we were coming. I was the only one who showed up on time. I was there alone in this house party for twenty minutes with nothing but my wits and the dog. They just let me in and told me to hang out and let the girls meet the dog. We never did actually lecture about our nonprofit. My 80 year old boss showed up and was like “oh god what is happening” when she found me sitting on the front lawn with the dog and all the girls and all I could do is shrug and say, “you told me to come here” and she was like “this isn’t a charity event” and IT TOOK EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO NOT SAY, “No shit.”

Grew up in perhaps the most cookie cutter way. Her father was a successful Doctor who opened his own practice when she was young and her mother was a nurse turned homemaker after she had Mina. They lived in upper-class suburbia of LA, with the two BMW’s gleaming in the driveway and the perfectly painted white picket fence.

Even her schooling experience was cookie cutter. Being a popular student in elementary and middle school, even being voted with cutest smile, her final year of middle school. Mina was actively involved in most sports but showed a real talent for tennis, dance and gymnastics.

Was the golden girl in her high school. Voted both Prom and Homecoming Queen her senior year as well as being the head cheerleader. Everyone knew Mina and everyone adored her. Though she could come across as quite nitpicky and selective at times, especially as her popularity grew, it was always important for Mina to be the most liked person in the room.

Dated JC in high school- they were considered the couple that was going to make it, everyone loved them and viewed them as the perfect couple but Mina was often jealous and possessive during their relationship, annoyed at how much female attention he received with his online following. Believing she should always be the most important girl in his life. She finally broke up with him when the attention got too much, she broke up with him by unfollowing him on everything on social media.

Though her parents wanted her to pursue medicine, Mina finally decided on international relations due to having an interest in the UN and foreign policy though her social life often gets in the way of her studies. They supported their daughter and was thrilled when she was accepted into UCLA, the same college that her mother had attended during her younger years.

PERSONALITY/FACTS:

Is a sweet person, she loves having people around her and having friends but often feels like she has to put on a mask for everyone. Always be the perfect daughter, the best at everything, the most popular person in the room.

Is a complete and utter daddies girl. Whatever little Mina wants, little Mina gets if Dr. Ross Whittaker has his way. Her relationship with her mother is slightly more strained as it was Nora who taught Mina that being popular is the most important attribute a person can have.

Has only ever been with one guy, which was JC in high school. Though she’ll never admit it, she often gets nervous around males, feeling like she’s inexperienced compared to everyone else.

Is a lover of parties. She’ll always be the first to say yes to a party invite and sees parties as a great way to meet new people.

Her pride and joy is a red FIAT 500- a 2018 model that she received off her parents as a graduation gift.

Tends to focus more on her social life as opposed to her studies. She’s always been something of an average student because she’s never applied herself.

Has a very girly fashion sense- plaid skirts, cute blouses, satin headbands, pink cardigans and sweet sundresses and you have Mina’s style in a nutshell.

Her main goal is to be captain of the cheerleading squad and president of her sorority in her senior year of college.

Is rarely seen without makeup as her mother taught her that appearances are just as important as popularity.
