No, no it isn’t that. Of course none of that has helped, I don’t think I really slept that well last night. For some reason Auggie thinks it could good to try to be friends again, which is just odd...But that is beside the point. 

I looked away from Lexi for just one moment and she managed to run off. And she ran all the way to the Southside. Some Ghoulie scared her but then Darius found her and took her to Pops for a milkshake. But....I glanced away from her and she was gone. Something could have happened to her...and it would have been my fault. Darius and I know Riley will say the same thing that this happens but I feel terrible.

That was the most wonderful way to celebrate my birthday. It was even better to come back on Monday to our puppy who is always so happy to see us. I am sure though that we will be able to find a way to make it up to him. I even picked up extra treats on my way home from work. 

After a weekend away filled with relaxing with my fiancee and a pretty decent court schedule on Monday, I would have thought that Tuesday would also be no problem, except... It's grooming day.... Jasper and Alfred, my poor roombas, are really going to get a harder workout than normal today, thanks to a certain very spoiled red husky.

Well I certainly hope that is a good reaction, handsome. I worked very hard to impress a certain person with that routine.

You have helped open my eyes to so many things since I have known you. And I am so incredibly lucky that I found someone who loves me and understands the love I have for my career. I am glad that we don’t have to seek out validation. I am more happy spending all of my free time with you. 

I mean you aren’t wrong there. I mean if they want me to sing your praises from the rooftops I gladly will. I know the people at work and our friends are tired of it at this point. But you know I’m not against telling them all of the things that come to mind when I think of you. Although I can’t promise that all of it will be appropriate. 

That is really the most important thing. That we are happy and that we love each other. The fact that we were lucky enough to find the love of our lives in this town. I don’t know where I would be right now if I didn’t have you. Darling..I could never get bored of being domestic with you. It is one of my favorite things in the world. Although it has been awhile since we have gone out, I wouldn’t mind dancing with you. 

@msjackiestjames : I want to be as respectful as possible but I don't think people realize what an adult relationship really looks like. They don't seem to understand that with our jobs and obligations it doesn't give us all the free time in the world to run around town seeking validation for our relationship.

But I also can't fault them for not knowing that we see other every day and have lunch together at least twice a week, we sleep together every night and wake up together every day, we cook breakfast together and we spend take Sundays every week to just be alone and have date night.

Again, it's not their fault but just because no one else might not see us out every night, because you might have be at the studio at 6am for a class or like I don't have 8am court, all that matters is we see each other and we know how strong we are together. But you know... if you ever get bored of being so domestic, I'll take you out any night. We can do the bar scene and club thing, I'm not so old that I can't still get down with the best of them.

I will take any chance I can to go on and on about how wonderful you are and I how much I love you. And if one of those ways is reminding people why I love you then I am happy. I just hope they can find a love as amazing as as ours. 

But how lucky are we that we get to spend everyday with each other? Everything else is just white noise when I get to fall asleep and wake up next to you. I didn’t think it would be possible to look forward to every new day until I met you. I am ready to go through everything that life will bring, any ups or downs, I’m ready for them. All because I know I will have you by my side.

Just when I thought I couldn’t be anymore surprised by your beauty, you somehow managed to be even more gorgeous and take my breath away.
