His day had been uneventful, boring even, and that was not something that Vincent was willing to live with. He had been thinking about getting his phone out to text Eilidh and see if she was working tonight or if she wanted to do something when he spotted a vaguely familiar face studying. Suddenly he knew his day was about to pick up. Perhaps he’d be having a celebratory drink with Eilidh instead of an ‘I’m Bored’ one later. 

Vincent slid into the seat beside a working Maddy, his face a picture of solemn apology as he tapped her shoulder softly. “I’m sorry for bothering you but I believe that I owe you an apology - you’re not too busy to talk to me just now are you?”
