@mirayaslan
LOCATION: miray's place, evening. FOR: miray aslan.
THE LAST KIND OF person nasrin aslan is known to be is outwardly happy -- carefree. like the giddy teenage girl she had never realized she could be. even if herself and her cousin hold more power in their hands than most could only dream of, miray is the only person that truly leaves the room for nasrin to feel like she could exist without judgement. while miray did not absolve her cousin of her past mistakes -- she gave her the chance to be something, which nasrin was certainly smart enough to take. now, they were closer than ever, a possibility the young woman had once believed to never truly be possible. they were already attached at the hip. on this particular evening, nasrin has popped a fresh bottle of red, two glasses not far away from her on the countertop. once the are full, she gracefully picks them up before gracefully reentering the living room and handing one off to miray. " now that mina has gone to bed... " nasrin leans back, eyebrows raising with a sly smirk -- her visage glistening in curiosity. " don't think i haven't noticed you attending those parties with a certain dashing hitman. " there comes that girlish giggle before she takes a sip of her wine. " was it... three last time i checked? "

NASRIN HAD NEVER REALLY considered herself to have true family in this world -- except for miray. her parents were constricting, suffocating to be around, having a path for her she never quite wanted. but miray, she had always been the light at the end of the tunnel. her safe space away from it all. thus, when she knew it was time to get her feet back underneath her again -- she new where to turn to. the only person who, no matter what, would always have her back.
sipping from her glass, nasrin shrugs in agreement. it was true -- she did remember hearing her cousin utter these words. however, much like nasrin, the woman had never known miray to be the committal type, besides her now deceased husband. nasrin, however, had always flown solo. a meaningless fling here and there kept her busy, with the occasional exception. " well -- of course there's that. but this seems... serious. " she takes her cousin's hand with a gentle smile, eyes widening as her inference is answered. " oh my god, miray! hey, as nauseated as most men make me -- liam's a damn good one. i'm happy for you, i mean it. " the woman gives her hand a gentle squeeze before she continues to speak, eyes glistening with mischief. " i'm well aware you can take care of yourself, and that he's a damn hitman -- but if he does so much as hurt a hair on your head, we'll have a problem. " ah, griffin. that was an age-old story that had never quite seem to end, or, for that matter -- make any kind of damn sense. nasrin had been aware of griffin from her time in the military, but never as close as she was with her cousin. while she liked him, there was a noticable difference in the way miray spoke about their fellow crimson. " listen... if you're happy, i'm happy. you seem so sure about liam... i could never quite tell where you were on griffin. but, this is good! this doesn't just call for wine... but champagne. the rest of the city may be mourning your dead singledom... but my cousin's a taken woman. "
When everything else in the world had been taken away from her there had been one thing, one person that Miray had held onto. The only constant in her life now was her cousin, and she was the only person Miray 100% believed would be there for the rest of her life. With a smile she took the glass and sipped the wine inside.
"Yeah, I mean it's not a secret or anything I've mentioned to you so many times how hot Liam is and he's so good with Mina that's like the hottest thing a man can do in my eyes." Miray laughed, not completely surprised that she'd noticed. "Well you know I've been spending a lot more time with him recently and I really like him. He's good for me, I feel like my best self when we're together. We've even made it official now which is the news I was just about to tell you. Plus that whole thing with Griffin is over now... for good this time. I think." She knew how many times she'd said that to Nasrin, especially recently but she was sure she meant it this time. Or at least she thought she did. Maybe the two of them would never truly be done with each other.
