i& just wanna make one thing very clear: our& rhaenyra is NOT daenerys or w/e the fuck the show's tryna make her out to be. does she take precautions? yes. is she a sanitized pure & righteous holier than thou peace desiring feminist girlboss babe person who wanted to avoid war at all costs to the point where she's gonna go out & dress up as a septa in the middle of HEAVILY OCCUPIED KING'S LANDING & make a frankly stupid decision to try & make peace w/ alicent like the show does? FUCK no. rhaenyra is charming, intelligent, driven & incredibly charismatic & i think she was a girl's girl but she's also frivolous w/ her spending, VERY arrogant & entitled like most targaryens & has bloodthirsty cruel tendencies & isn't above torturing people to get what she wants. do i think that conversation could've happened earlier or later? yes. this blog does NOT acknowledge that part of the show. this blog does not recognize syrax being the mother of drogon, rhaegal & viserion, they're dreamfyre's children, who elissa farman stole from the targaryens long before the dance of the dragons & she sold them in braavos to buy a ship to sail west of westeros after leaving rhaena. while rhaenyra does have a lot of parallels with daenerys They Are Not The Same Person.

hi! have any faves from fire and blood?

YES YES I DO. 

Now, for the record, I have only read F&B through the first 10 or so years of Jaehaerys and Alysanne’s reign and then I skipped forward to the Hour of the Wolf. 

I love Rhaena. I can’t help it. I don’t think she’s a particularly good person, but I adore her. 

I stan Elissa Farman to the ends of the fucking earth. 

Alysanne can stomp on me and I would thank her. 

But, naturally, all of these delightful characters are secondary to the dragons. The dragons are my faves. Vermithor? babey. Balerion? grumpy babey. Meraxes? darling. Vhagar? i also love. Silverwing? we stan. I. love. the. dragons. THEY’RE JUST TOO CUTE. Do you realize how much I adore Viserion? No. It is impossible to understand I much I love the dragons. They are giant lizards who act like cats and breathe fire and I love them and I will actually kill absolutely anyone who lays a fucking finger on their adorable lizard heads. I love them. End of conversation.
